"Master, is it really okay to leave those treasures behind?"

Minutes later, Maxim, with the new weapon on his back, turned to look at the melting cave hidden in the swamp mist behind him and said in a low voice:

"If the scepter of the Bone Biter King is a miraculous creation, it means that the suit of armor, the crown, the shield, and the chainmail are all creations of the same quality. Even if you don’t need them, you could take them back to boost morale.

I think at the very least, Lord Kuder is worthy of wielding the legendary ’Soul Ripper’ flail.

It represents a profound history, and having it as a collectible could effectively enhance your prestigious reputation."

"The Griffin Greatsword that Kuder already has in his hands is enough for him, and I don’t think he would fancy a weapon of the Wolf People since he’s very picky about weapons, probably a habit formed from his days as a human.

So, let’s leave them there."

Murphy waved his hand indifferently and said:

"A ’super-secret stash’ of such magnitude, directly connected to the power of the creator, is incomplete without some bottom-drawer treasures. I’m actually quite looking forward to when my warriors will find and unlock it.

We’re already prepared to take away other gains from the cave. We must leave something for the future treasure hunters; otherwise, the development team would seem too stingy.

As for the information left behind by the King of Bone Biting...

We may not be able to get it now, but I can guess that it definitely has something to do with the Civilization Slate of the Wolf People.

The Bone Biter King tried to lead his successor towards the Swamp Forbidden Area, the land of creation, through a ’treasure map’. However, the problem is that Triss and I skipped that process, akin to exploiting a BUG and directly stepping into the heart of the mystery.

That information is now superfluous to us, but it could make for an excellent exploration and guidance quest chain, a ’legendary’ quest chain hidden within history, which could ultimately reveal the creator’s system in a very reasonable manner in front of the warriors without our crude guidance directing them straight to the forbidden area.

As for the information itself, Tear Flesh has already taken the slate and fled back to the Dark Mountain Range, but I guess they will never find the correct use for that thing.

As for the weapons and armor left by the King of Bone Biting..."

Murphy turned back for a glance at the melting cave now hidden in the mist out of sight and wore a subtle expression. He said to Maxim:

"If I tell you that I have many items of the same caliber, would you think your master has gone mad?"

"Of course not!"

Maxim was evidently shocked, as they were discussing miraculous creations, but quickly shook his head and said:

"You are a miraculous person, my master!

Any miracle you perform is unsurprising to me. You are such an extraordinary man that you will surely be etched into history, while the Bone Biter King is just trying to compete with the bright moon’s radiance with the glow of decaying grass..."

"Ah, you really did learn a lot at that tavern."

Murphy waved his hand, stopping Maxim’s unabashed flattery with a sigh that was half-mockery and half-resignation:

"Look at you, my ’Smooth-Talker Mark’. You even flatter with such refreshing originality that I’m afraid your next words will be craziness like ’the mandate of heaven changes, so does the possession of Divine Artifacts.’ I understand that you, a serious soldier, need some entertainment, and I’m not against you finding joy in the knowledge of another world.

But... watch less demonic stuff, Mark, for it’s quite mesmerizing and will corrupt your soul.

The learning I want you to do is not this."

While saying this, Murphy glanced back at He Lu sitting on the magic carpet, clutching a beast bone staff adorned with an eye symbol, his face brimming with ecstasy.

The staff in his hand, found by Murphy in the "treasure" of the Bone Biter King and named the "Eye of the Clan," was meant for scouting and sensing. Its quality of equipment was worlds apart from the Skull Breaker obtained by Maxim, but for a scout of He Lu’s calibre, it was a miraculous "Divine Artifact" like pie falling from the sky.

After all, theoretically, it indeed counts as a "legacy" of the Bone Biter King.

Solely from the standpoint of memorial significance, it isn’t too far off from the widely celebrated Skull Breaker.

Unfortunately, Murphy’s next destination was a place where He Lu couldn’t follow, given his power and his status in the Transylvanian system.

So, Murphy made a subtle gesture, and Maxim immediately flew to He Lu’s side and, under the pretext of escort, sent the scout to the exit of the Swamp Forbidden Area to make his way back to Wolf Castle on his own.

Murphy and Triss continued to wait at the spot for Maxim’s return. With only the two of them remaining, the Vampire Lord turned to Triss and said:

"Our earlier guess is correct, the rise of the Bone Biter King is most definitely because that cunning Wolf People discovered another land of creation in the Dark Mountain Range, and were lucky enough to get access to its authority and learn about the legacy of the creator’s secrets.

It seems there are really many good things hidden in the Dark Mountain Range.

I even have a feeling that perhaps the mysterious Eden District is hidden somewhere in the Dark Mountain Range..."

"No, no, no, I don’t see it that way,"

Triss’s alluring eyes showed a contemplative light as she shook her head and said:

"I believe the location of the Eden District should be as remote from the Continent as the Origin Land, and perhaps that land of creation is hidden somewhere in the new continent."
