Chapter 1368: 462. When someone gives you a thumbs-up, it doesn’t necessarily mean they are praising you...

The transportation team comprised of new players was highly efficient, and because the construction of the Maginot Line was given top priority, once they entered the Dark Baron Territory, they took to the "Cement Boulevard" built by the Stonemason Brotherhood, which significantly accelerated their progress.

The journey, which initially required two to three days, was compressed to a day and a half as they hurried at varying paces to their destination.

At a location five kilometers behind the Maginot Line, a massive temporary warehouse had been erected due to the urgency of time. The warehouse was constructed using the "old method" where wooden planks formed the framework, and then a Psychic molded a cubical storage space with the "Fossil into Mud" technique.

Thankfully, the warehouse was not far from the mines of the Dark Baron Territory, which provided ample stones for use; otherwise, it would have been impossible to build this thing in such a short time.

"Brothers, you’ve worked hard—take a rest at the camp after unloading the goods."

Lin of the Tiger Leopard Riders, on behalf of Stick Brother, shouted at the new players jumping off the transport team.

He didn’t recognize any of these new pals, but that didn’t prevent them from feeling like "hometown folks" when they met.

Compared to the locals of Transia, these brothers from the same place felt closer to him.

Of course, the Crimson Hammer Sickle Group was really good at managing relations.

Having coordinated in advance with Pink Kitty Bunny, which was responsible for transporting the logistics, Lin knew that the brothers bringing the supplies were all pure newbies. Therefore, he had set up a "reward distribution" area next to the warehouse.

A NPC quartermaster stood there, handing each new player a small wallet and then gesturing toward the weapon rack and gun box nearby.

The implication was to pick any weapon they wanted, considered as the "home silver benefit" from the Hammer and Sickle Brigade.

This style of operation made the new players exclaim "Stick Brother is so righteous," and any minor complaints they had about unloading disappeared into thin air.

What they didn’t know was that, as a military organization with formal incorporation, the Hammer and Sickle Brigade could obtain a batch of free supplies from the administration’s warehouse every half a month.

Since it was free, don’t expect the quality to be very high—it’s just bare-bones weapons that were barely usable.

The old hands under Stick Brother naturally scorned these, which were perfect for gaining some goodwill with the new players, making future "recruitment work" a bit smoother.

But since both parties were satisfied, naturally no one had the idle time to delve into the origins of these weapons.

While the new players and NPCs were transporting materials, Lin dismounted from his Shadow Mane Warhorse and walked over to a weapons crate that had been set down. He picked up a crowbar nearby and pried open the crate, revealing three black tubes stored inside.

He immediately showed a nostalgic expression; skillfully, he picked one up, and without even glancing at the brief manual beside it, he swiftly assembled the device.

The mortar he remembered appeared before him, but Lin was very annoyed because Loyal Brother, in order to increase production, had neglected several very important devices on the mortar.

"Damn it, they even skimped on the sights like this! How the hell do you aim with this? Do you have to fire a few shots each time to calibrate the impact point before shooting? I was hoping for precise cold shots, a soul-seeker in one."

Lin cursed vehemently on the spot.

But he also knew that Loyal Brother’s "cutting corners" was a reluctant move due to the immense pressure on the munitions factory’s production; to ensure a supply of firepower to the front lines, Loyal Brother had no choice but to skip these fine-tuning parts.

First achieve "usable," then consider "good use."

As for the monkey-version of the cannon currently in front of him, it would probably take the munitions factory working overtime for a month or two to fully meet Stick Brother’s firepower requirements for the Maginot Line.

"Forget it, forget it, everyone has it tough. I won’t nag you this time."

Lin sighed, packed the mortar back into a specially made bag, and placed it into the overly large saddlebags of his Shadow Mane Warhorse.

With such an unscientifically large build, these warhorses inherently had strong carrying capacities; a small cannon on one side, and a few shells on the other.

Speaking of shells...

"This ’white phosphorus bomb’ is for real?"

Lin looked at the ten shells laid out in the second crate.

He was somewhat confused; though their shape was that of the most classic mortar shell, the "extremely dangerous" red symbols and a prominent skull and crossbones marked on them signified Loyal Brother’s confidence in his product, or rather the lack of it.

"When did they start having this kind of shell in the series? Is this their ’in-house development’? Holy shit, this is the real deal."

Lin lambasted the situation and picked up the nearby instruction card for a glance, only to discover that the leading explosives expert under Loyal Brother, "Nightmare Bat Puppet," had even creatively named this thing:

"Undead Incinerator?"

Lin blinked and sarcastically said,

"Why don’t you put some of that creativity into safety? I don’t even dare to carry this thing on my warhorse; what if it explodes during a charge?"

He flipped over the instruction card, and there was a line of text on the back:

"Weapons are strictly forbidden from use in combat against civilized factions; violators will be subjected to interrogation and punishment by the military court that is being established."

"Dammit!"
