Chapter 1336: 451. The War of the Red Knight - The Fist of Avalon - Additional Release [18/25]_2

"!!"

Originally nonchalant, Orchid’s eyes suddenly bulged. She jerked her hand away from "Lady Shui" and turned back to glare at her, exclaiming,

"You! You you you you! Enough already! You’re too mean!"

"Ha, someone’s getting flustered."

"Lady Shui" covered her mouth and giggled,

"People didn’t tell me much either, just that several years ago, he had his heart brutally broken by a woman as carefree as the wind. Oh dear, I wouldn’t have guessed, my dear Orchid. You also enjoy playing such ’suddenly disappearing’ literary tricks, don’t you?"

"It’s not what you think! Jerk."

The adventurer, truly livid, screamed,

"Don’t listen to his nonsense!"

"Mmmhmm, not listening to his nonsense. Let him explain it in person! Anyway, I estimate it won’t be long before we see him starting his new adventure in Transylvania."

"Lady Shui" dragged out her words in a low voice,

"I sent him an invitation, and he seemed very interested, saying that after completing this spelunking challenge, he would try to apply.

No need to thank me, little Orchid. This is what I should do.

Consider it a small ’return favor’ for that game application you sent to my idiot husband."

"Ah! This!"

The great adventurer realized that the secret deeds she had done were now exposed. It was a sisterly "retaliation," but she had no room to argue since "Lady Shui’s" husband had even started popping up in forums.

And indeed, these were all the "good deeds" she had done privately.

"Oooh! So, does Orchid really have a mysterious past that’s unknown to us?"

Sister Pomegranate asked with a wide grin,

"Did something really happen between her and that Mr. Yuan? "Lady Shui," come on, spill it. Don’t leave us hanging."

"Humph."

"Lady Shui" chose not to rub salt into Orchid’s wound.

She did not continue on the subject, leaving the great adventurer alone, covering her face, thinking who knows what, and even stamping her foot furiously.

This clearly indicated there was an issue!

"Hey hey hey, my dear sisters, isn’t your strongest support here?"

As the majestic Wind Eagles landed, Brother Meow agilely jumped down and waved to the girls of the Silver Moon Group.

He had swapped his usual Family Guardian armor for a set of Avalon Church-style chainmail, along with Moutain People’s wild-style war robes and fur cloak.

But the most eye-catching was Brother Meow’s weapon.

A Barbarian double-edged axe that, even under the sunlight, emitted a chilling aura from its gleaming blade, clearly very badass and impressive.

"So this is the ’Vam Beheader’ you guys got by pulling some strings?"

Sister Pomegranate approached to examine the weapon and commented,

"I thought you guys went a bit too far before, but now seeing this divine weapon firsthand, I start to understand you."

"Eh, let’s not talk about that mess; it nearly got us expelled from Avalon’s Boss. It would be wise to do less of that from now on."

Brother Meow made a face as if he didn’t want to revisit the past.

He patted his Wind Eagle, which resembled the legendary "Antler Falcon Beast" with traits of eagles and reindeer. It let out a crisp cry and took off to hunt and rest, leading the squad of Wind Eagles.

The sight of these large and elegant creatures flying was beautiful, earning continuous praise from Little Wei Ming.

The only downside was that these large birds were very loyal, they did not warm up to anyone besides their handlers. Little Wei Ming, wanting to pet one, nearly got her fingers pecked by the sharp beak of Brother Meow’s Wind Eagle.

"Don’t be sad."

Brother Qu, carrying a gun, saw Little Wei Ming looking downcast and comforted her,

"The Moutain People tribe we’ve brought back is good at taming Wind Eagles, and they’ve accepted Count Shuren’s arrangements to set up Wind Eagle riding stations around strategic locations in Transylvania to build a network of flight routes. I reckon that tribe will be gaining reputation soon.

By then, you can boost your reputation to get your own Wind Eagle.

However, they’re quite smart and sensitive. According to the Moutain People, once you have a Wind Eagle, you can’t have other flying mounts, or it’ll make them jealous. And if not well trained, the Wind Eagle might leave you to return to its nest.

Basically, like having a jealous Golden Retriever..."

"Hey, that sounds super interesting. I’ll make a trip to my ancestral woodlands later."

Little Wei Ming’s eyes brightened, but Old Qu suggested,

"If you’re going there, I’d advise against choosing a Wind Eagle. We’re both from the Hunter lineage, and in those woods, you can find a flying battle pet. On our way back, under the Moutain People’s guidance, we visited Feather Valley.

There’re lots of birds there. I got an Antler Falcon egg, just need to incubate it to have my flying pet.

I’ve heard that occasionally powerful creatures like Thunder Eagles appear. When we have time, let’s get the other Hunters and try our luck there."

"Great, I want a fierce Blood Vulture!"

Little Wei Ming raised her hand,

"I already have a dumb Star Realm Wolf, but Sir Morphy has an impressive Spirit Eagle, and I want one too! I have to live up to my bloodline."

While these two Hunters exchanged pet training tips, Brother Meow had started discussing swamp operation strategies with "Lady Shui." After listening to "Lady Shui’s" analysis, Brother Meow stroked his chin and said:
