Chapter 1325: 447. Swamp Brothers United - Additional Update for "Blue Eyes" Brothers [14/25]_3
"Adel, keep an eye on them for me."
Murphy felt sleepiness surging up, yawned, and instructed Lady Adel through the spiritual connection between the Lord and His heirs, who was also in the swamp:
"If any danger arises, remember to ’salvage’ them."
"Alright, master, I will represent you and take special care of them."
Adel’s gentle voice rose from within Murphy’s heart as she softly said,
"Wishing you a good night, sweet dreams."
"Uh, remember to clean up the junk posts on the forum."
Murphy closed his eyes, and just before the deep sleep engulfed in the night came about, he reminded,
"And those pop-sci materials on otherworldly intelligence organizations in the special knowledge section, as the commander of the Shadow Intelligence Bureau, you should learn from more accomplished colleagues; do not get addicted to otherworldly trivial soap operas like Phemys."
"I never watch those things that can interfere with thoughts, nor do I indulge in trivial noises."
Adel replied with a solemn promise.
Sensing that her master had fallen asleep, the "Dark Female Baron" smirked in her chosen "Swamp Treehouse" and picked up the Calculating Pearl, skillfully logging into the forum to check out today’s updates in the film and television section.
After finding that none of the several shows she was following had been updated, she opened the study materials with a disgruntled mood.
"If it wasn’t for being worlds apart..."
The vampire lady complained:
"Watch me capture you all and make you first embrace to update 24 hours a day... Ah, the entertainment methods of otherworlds are too demonic! Adel oh Adel, you must not be so listless... Huh? Little Wei Ming has uploaded a new episode, and it’s rated so highly?
Hmm, might as well finish this episode before learning the operational methods of Fober and the KGBs.
After all, the night is still long."

"Bang"
A bone spear carrying decaying power tore through the filthy air and viciously smashed onto the stone watchtower of the swamp outpost.
This fragile structure exploded upon impact, but the cold power it contained spread outward with the explosion of the bone spear, like a bursting circle pulling in several soldiers who couldn’t dodge in time.
It did not cause any deaths on the spot; however, the malicious weakness spell was still cast upon them, the infusion of negative energy made their limbs go weak instantly as if stricken with a severe illness, and they were unable to hold onto their shields.
Following that, a volley of bone arrows, though not precise, still pierced through several unfortunate souls’ thighs.
Yet the soldiers of the Exploration Corps were highly trained, and those selected as the vanguard were elites among elites; despite being wounded, they didn’t scream cowardly but rolled into newly dug trenches and were clumsily carried into the middle of the outpost for urgent treatment.
Major Ron was stationed at the top of the watchtower.
Like the best sniper, he leaned against the firing hole and filled two Burning Gold Bullets into the rifle in skilled movement, silently counting time with his steady breathing, and stood up to aim his rifle right after the volley of bone arrows had finished.
He used a certain sniper skill that allowed his aiming to be as quick as lightning.
Bang bang, two shots fired, the bullets with their shrill whistles penetrated the ghostly murky of the swamp ahead and did not kill the numerous skeleton cannon fodder, but rather shattered two of the most threatening skeleton mages’ skulls.
This sudden attack caused the bone fire burning spell that the skeleton mages were preparing to go out of control, spreading the cold phosphorous fire around and quickly burning the surrounding skeleton army to ashes.
However, this remarkable killing couldn’t reverse the dangerous situation of their outpost number three.
Before they arrived, Ayu had warned him that the location of outpost number three had already entered the core of the skeleton army’s first line of defense; the counterattack they faced here was guaranteed to be harsh and dangerous. Major Ron was mentally prepared before he headed there.
The hundred soldiers he deployed here were elite troops personally assigned for his command by his father.
When facing the skeleton army approaching from all sides under the cover of night, these Goldenrod soldiers showed no fear.
They formed a shield formation along the trenches surrounding the outpost and fought against the enemy with muskets. At the approach of a massive contingent of the skeleton army, they used explosives in continuous coordinated attacks, performing quite well; the only regret was the absence of a psychic in this troop.
This was understandable, even though the Goldenrod Kingdom was famed on the continent for Circle Tower, King Louis couldn’t afford to assign a psychic to every front-line squad.
Manipulating Spiritual Energy was a talent.
Once anything escalated to the level of ’talent,’ it was destined to be scarce in number and definitely would not become widespread.
The fierce battle had persisted since dusk to the present.
As is well-known, men’s perception of time often becomes distorted during combat, frequently mistaking ten seconds for ten minutes—an awkward occurrence that can be fatal on a battlefield.
"Report on the battle situation!"
As Major Ron took the ammunition bag handed over by his adjutant, he shouted, and soon a lower officer yelled back:
"Our line is intact! Sir, they can’t break through our defenses. We can hold here till we drop dead!"
"Dammit Bob, that’s not what I want to hear."
Ron was amused by his subordinate’s confident roar but scolded,
"The wounded! How many wounded do we have?"
"Just a few unlucky fellows, sir. We’ll send them to the rear as soon as it gets light; it won’t cause a delay."
The lieutenant named Bob replied loudly:
"Hey, if this is what the Transia People pride themselves on in battlefields, then it’s just child’s play. Not only does it not compare to our fierce battle beneath Westerburg, but even the Moutain People’s assaults could crush these bone sticks."
"Hmph, I think so too."
Major Ron smirked, aiming back again, saying,
"It’s time to teach these guys a lesson, let them see the invincible battle stances of the Goldenrod soldiers, brothers...hmm? What’s that glow? Why is it so blinding?"
"There’s a high-level spellcaster hiding in their ranks! Sir! Get down!!!"
"Hmm???"
"Boom"
