Chapter 1203: As long as morality is willing to slide down, there are always more solutions than difficulties.

Murphy was bewildered at the moment.

He was fencing with the Necessary Evil when suddenly a prompt popped up stating, "Subspecies of Humanity: Mountain People Template Information Acquisition +50," nearly causing him to misstrike and get killed by the returning slash of the Necessary Evil.

Thankfully, Sir Murphy was an unadulterated master of swordsmanship, and with a lithe step of shadow, dodged and countered with a beastly strike from the Wolf’s Kiss Swordsmanship Skill, forcing the Necessary Evil back and avoiding an unsightly scar on his neck.

"Stop!"

He gestured for the eager Necessary Evil to hold.

The Demon Sword immediately hovered in mid-air, and although it couldn’t speak, one could clearly sense its feeling of "not having enough."

Initially, when Murphy had asked Necessary Evil to spar with him, this mischievous creature was clearly reluctant, perhaps thinking bullying Murphy, the easy target, lacked any sense of achievement.

However, as the Vampire Lord’s skill in swordsmanship grew higher and even began to develop an understanding of its own, Necessary Evil also found new "delights" in the daily practice.

Heh, fencing is truly enjoyable when your opponent is of a similar level, after all, what real man would bully the weak?

Shouldn’t one aim to tackle the strongest instead?

Murphy sheathed his now comfortably wielded staff sword "Collapsed Beast," and reviewed the prompt he just received.

Ever since unlocking the functionality of race template collection, he had been baffled about it until this prompt appeared, which seemed to teach Murphy how to properly collect the template information of various races.

He read the text carefully and found that it was after Stick Brother and his team successfully turned into Winged Cavalry and received Avalon’s War Blessing to become descendants of the Mountain People, that he received the prompt of racial information collection.

So, it meant that as long as his players eagerly interacted with other races, his template collection would automatically progress?

"Interesting," Murphy muttered, stroking his chin.

He felt he could perhaps try something he had been eager to attempt.

Thus, he beckoned for Necessary Evil to neatly hang at his waist, and with his hands behind his back, he strolled to the office of the Grand Duke of Triss, knocked on the door, and upon permission, entered.

As expected, Triss, the "great homebody," was huddled in her chair under a blanket, merrily holding a Calculating Pearl.

Murphy leaned over for a closer look and saw that Triss was browsing a crosstalk performance uploaded to the forum’s "Entertainment Section" by the Appetite Relief Party, and the strange accent and tongue-twisting delivery kept her smiling continuously.

"You’re getting the hang of this, understanding the art of crosstalk?" Murphy teased, "You’re becoming more and more like a person from a different world, my dear Grand Duke Triss."

"Ugh, don’t disturb my rest if there’s nothing important."

Triss rolled her eyes, expertly paused the playback, and turned to look at Murphy with visible impatience.

"What is it?"

"Ah, important matters."

Murphy reached out to tidy up Triss’s somewhat disheveled hair from staying up doing experiments, and he said softly, "About that project you’ve been trying – the possibility of modifying the form of the Psychic Projections of my warriors. You might have noticed that many voices on the forum are urging the development team to quickly unlock the ’character customization’ feature.

Clearly, my warriors don’t plan to begin their grand adventure in Transylvania as humans; they want to explore more possibilities."

"It’s pointless."

Triss scoffed, wrapping herself tighter in her blanket, "Modifying the form is not difficult, but their projections are governed by complex logical arrangements. For example, you could turn your warriors into Moon Elves, but their ’Racial Talents’ would still be human...

Such superficial modifications are merely a trivial task for me.

But if your warriors really wish to adventure with a different identity, there’s still a lot of work to do in that regard."

"Hmm."

Murphy nodded.

He glanced at the line of racial template information on his collection interface, his eyes finally settling on the Shadow Elves category.

Since Adel was his offspring, the value for the Shadow Elves was currently the highest at 30%. Murphy felt that if he could get some help from Adel, perhaps this number could rise even higher.

Ideally, it should reach 50%...

That way, when Triss started to experiment with "race conversions," his assistance would give her a fifty-fifty chance of success. One success in two tries, and trying a few times could be like 200%, right?

Simple elementary mathematics, isn’t it?

"Let’s give it a try."

Murphy suggested to Triss,

"I will attempt to obtain some Shadow Elf bloodline information from Adel. I’m not sure how yet, but I’ll try. Adel will cooperate with me, and once I’m ready on my end, I’ll let you know."

"Oh?"

Triss’s expression immediately became more intriguing.

Her alluring eyes blinked, and she drawled at Murphy,

"So, you, the evil little vampire hottie, are finally going to make a move on poor E Sister? I believe you must be aware that because of your blood contract, Adel’s feelings for you are not ordinary.

Though she’s never shown it."
