Chapter 1175: 397. New Knightess of the Rushing River Knights Group - 【Monthly Ticket Additional Release 4/10】_3
"Mind your image, new recruit!"
Tepar immediately rebuked:
"You represent the face of the Rushing River Knights Group and the image of the Path of Holy Light; you cannot speak so crudely about a lady behind her back."
"Ah, my mistake, commander."
Blood-stained Santo Lance Marcus immediately apologized.
This was the advantage of being part of the RP party; they could tolerate what other players might view as nitpicking, in pursuit of the experiences they sought.
Tepar did not continue to press the issue, and instead asked:
"What does that knight lady want to do here?"
"Oh, she said she wanted to visit and see the current state of our knights, and if possible, she would also like to become one of us."
Marcus said with a curious expression, a response that surprised both Tepar and Uncle Ferdin.
In their plans, the Rushing River Knights Group definitely intended to recruit NPCs in the future to enhance the immersion and role-playing experience, yet here was an NPC volunteering to join even before their base was established, a scenario not even realized in their wildest dreams.
"First, let’s invite her into the camp. We’ll talk and see what else there is to discuss."
Uncle Ferdin, often playful yet mostly solemn, made a decision, and thus, a few minutes later, in the central tent of the large camp, the two pioneering commanders met Miss Biqi and her escort Knight, Liwen.
Although everyone claimed to be knights, it was immediately clear upon this meeting who rivaled whom.
Miss Biqi’s knightly armor plate was polished clean, shining with a cold light, with her family’s motto engraved upon it, paired with a great sword at her side, the saber at her waist, and the whip in her hand along with a cape draped behind her.
Even without a helmet, she exuded a "professional" aura.
Knight of Liwen was dressed somewhat "plainly" in comparison, but her full-body armor still earned envious looks from the lesser players around.
Compared to Tepar and Uncle Ferdin, they were quite shabby.
Although they had tried their best to exchange for veteran sets from the People’s Army’s quartermaster by building up their reputation, their chainmail was far inferior in both appearance and quality.
And even though they were devoted role-players, it could only be considered a casual pursuit, whereas Biqi had been trained as a knight from childhood.
She had a knightly quality about her that the lesser players could never hope to exhibit.
Thus, this scene resembled an epic meeting between true knights and wandering knights—embarassing, to say the least, and in the face of such a "uniquely modeled" NPC, even Tepar felt somewhat timid.
However, Miss Biqi was ever unconventional.
After meeting with the two commanders, she didn’t offer any pleasantries but took out a handwritten letter from her bag and handed it to Uncle Ferdin, saying nonchalantly:
"I, Adeline Biqi Siville, have finally won the championship at the Crimson Castle Fistfighting Tournament and have been recognized by my elders, thereby earning the endorsement of Lord Cooder, the People’s Guard, to apply today for membership in the Rushing River Knights Group along with my escort Knight, Liwen Hude!
My grandfather told me that you all hail from Another World, steadfastly follow a Doctrine called ’Holy Light,’ encompass both wisdom and courage, and are determined to spread your loyalty and enthusiasm across this war-torn land.
This is the life I have always aspired to, and it is the perfect starting point to truly embark on my path as a knight!
I will lead my escort knights to become honorary members of the Rushing River Knights Group and join you in the war against the Black Disaster.
I firmly believe that we will together toast victory on the battlefield!"
Biqi proclaimed with her characteristically spirited posture and a passionately delivered speech, leaving Tepar and Uncle Ferdin utterly dumbfounded.
Wait a second, wait!
Uncle Ferdin, looking at the letter of recommendation from Baron Cooder, shouted in his mind:
"Just hold on, blonde knightess, let us sort out what exactly is happening."
As he thought this, opening the letter, a vibration from the Calculating Pearl alerted him to a triggered random event and a hidden mission:
[Ding! Hidden storyline branch task ’Silver Dawn Siville’ activated!
Mission Description: The heiress from a knightly family in the Anjou Region has chosen, under her grandfather’s guidance, to join the Rushing River Knights Group. Lord Kudel’s intention is for his granddaughter to witness the harshness of war and to treat her life more sensibly, rather than pinning all her hopes on a pursuit she deems impossible.
However, this doesn’t mean Kudel lacks expectations for his granddaughter; he hopes she can become the first Grail Knightess on the Continent.
As the only official civilian Knights Group currently on the lands of Transia, you may have the responsibility to assist an idealistic pure-hearted young woman.
Perhaps considering it as the legendary starting point for the Rushing River Knights Group is also an excellent choice.
Base Objective: Help Adeline Biqi Siville survive the Black Disaster and achieve renown.
Advanced Objective: Assist Adeline Biqi Siville in becoming a Grail Knight.
Hidden Objective: Guide Adeline Biqi Siville to become a Holy Light Believer.
Mission Deadline: Lasts until the end of the Black Disaster.
Mission Reward: Transia official army enlistment, supplies replenishment for Torrent Castle, Nantes Ranger’s family knightly treasure chest key X12.
Development Team’s Hint!
Miss Biqi’s family is the largest military supplies merchant in the Anjou Region, and the Siville family’s armor and weapons are considered real quality products throughout the Golden Flower Kingdom.
Maybe you can try to get some help from her to build your Knights Group.]
"Hell! Has the development team seen the difficulties our Knights Group is facing and just handed us a ’big daddy’ out of nowhere?"
As Uncle Ferdin shared the mission with Tepar, he exclaimed in his mind:
"Development Team! You are my gods!"
