Chapter 1098: 372. It’s a rebellion! The players are rebelling!

The last major update of the closed beta truly rocked the community, with just the introduction of the base gameplay captivating attention.

Although, for now, there are only three bases available for allocation, and two of them have already been allocated to specific players’ guilds, there is still one undecided, right?

Isn’t this akin to the dev team announcing that if a guild performs well in the upcoming activities, they could still be gifted a base?

Even though it wasn’t explicitly stated, the official intent was quite clear.

They are subtly increasing the rewards to ramp up player participation in the "Transylvania Hundred Days of Construction," which is obviously a transparent bait, but since the rewards are indeed tempting, everyone is putting up with it.

As for the two bases that have already been allocated, most players and the Appetite Relief Party have expressed their understanding.

Let’s not even talk about the military base "Maginot Line."

Aside from those few "professionals with infinite potential," Stick Brother’s group of ex-servicemen is the most suitable for building and managing it. Moreover, with the looming threat of Black Disaster, if someone other than Sir Morphy were entrusted with this crucial line of defense, not only would Sir Morphy not rest easy, but neither would the players.

Professional tasks should be handled by professionals, especially when it comes to matters concerning one’s livelihood and life, right?

However, there are some who aren’t too pleased about the ownership of another base, "Torrent Castle."

Black Silk beneath the keyboard: "I understand Stick Brother getting the military base since they’re professional, but the Torrent Knights only just started playing, right? Why should they get a base too? After all, it’s a goose that lays golden eggs.

I’m not questioning the dev team, but at the very least, give the rest of us an explanation, won’t you?"]

Traveler Little Li: "Ah, yes, right, right. If you’re saying only administrative players can have a base, we’re administrative players too, you know. We even made it into the top twenty of the recent administrative assessment.

We’re about to be assigned our work locations, so having a base of our own would be fantastic!"]

Several other administrative players also started clamoring on the post.

The watching "Honorary Knight Taipal" immediately got a bit anxious.

He intended to explain the reasoning; mainly it was due to the Torrent Knights having a lot of members, but since they entered the game, they’ve been working hard without much involvement in the events around Crimson Castle, making them less visible.

Taipal is a smart guy.

He knew he needed to clarify this matter, or it would be easy to leave a bad impression on the onlookers, like "Torrent Knights used backdoor connections."

Although that was indeed the case...

But for the RP Party, steadfast believers in the Holy Light would scorn such petty deceit. And from a gameplay perspective, leaving a bad impression on the players isn’t conducive to the base’s future development.

However, before Taipal could finish crafting an explanation document, an admin jumped out first.

Alpha: "In response to everyone’s doubts about base ownership, I’m going to release some backend data. This is the number of refugees each guild has found so far in the still ongoing ’Transian Population Census’ event.

Take a look and you’ll understand:

Silver Moon Pride Team: 4424, Big Bird Spinning Team: 831, Scarlet Hammer Sickle Group: 1565, Scarlet Beast Group: 1823, Torrent Knights: 9714, Mason Brothers’ Association: 558."]

Alpha didn’t elaborate much, but the data doesn’t lie.

In checking refugees alone, the Torrent Knights have found more than the total of all the other guilds combined. Just releasing this simple data immediately shut up the others, quieting down those who had questioned before.

All right then.

Just on the administration and management alone, these RP Party members are indeed professional.

Woman Sword Saint of Reed Name: "Damn! Is this for real? We have connections with the Batasin Business Association, used the power of NPCs, and even paid money to recruit Transians in exile.

How on earth do you have so many more people than us?

You must have cheated!"]

Knight of Honor Taipal: "Firstly, we have many people. Our 81 members split into several teams and have been conducting uninterrupted refugee searches in the Westerly Territory, and we also employed Highlander guides, which led us to seven large refugee gathering points and 26 smaller ones.

Secondly, since our brave knights landed in Transylvania, up until now, our entire group has rarely taken part in any other actions, focusing solely on finding the ’strategic resource’ Governor Murphy currently needs the most.

Which is people!

Without enough citizens, a territory cannot possibly develop, and this was something we all agreed upon in the pub before my knights even arrived in Transylvania.

The fact has proven that the initial development strategy laid out by the Torrent Knights’ strategic team for us pioneers was correct."]

Warm and Atmospheric Water Lady: "Impressive! You guys have worked quietly and diligently, teaching a valuable lesson to other player forces currently in the game. You showed us the potential of a unified organization with a firm belief.

@Embedded Joy Stick, Stick Brother, look closely and learn!

This is the correct way to run a large guild, where clear goals and delineating responsibilities allow a numerical advantage to be fully utilized and maximized."]

Embedded Joy Stick: "Sister Shui is right, I’m truly convinced this time."]

Alpha: "So, with the explanations from the parties involved and the data released by the testing team, does anyone else have objections to the developer’s decision? This post is open for discussion, so feel free to share your opinions."
