My mates in Beastworld
Chapter 165 Snowstorm

Chapter 165: Chapter 165 Snowstorm

"Of course I mean it, little thing..." Damon said, stepping closer to her. "If you can’t seduce him, we’ll drop the idea. I have another plan."

Hearing him, Kyra glared. "F**k you," she spat, then turned and bolted out the door.

Damon’s heart sank as he watched her go. He knew he had pushed her too far. The desperation in her eyes had been clear, and he realized he had underestimated her.

Kyra ran outside, the cold air hitting her face and marking her tears sting. She didn’t care about the snow or the biting wind; she just needed to get away. She couldn’t believe Damon had tried to manipulate her again, despite his promises.

Her mind was racing, but she knew one thing for sure: she had to find her mates on her own terms, without Damon’s schemes.

Back inside, Damon came back to his senses and bolted after Kyra. The winter woods were dangerous, with wood monsters roaming around, hunting for food and even attacking beastmen. He couldn’t let her face those dangers alone.

"Little thing, wait!" he shouted, his voice echoing through the cold, silent air.

But Kyra kept running, her breath forming visible puffs in the frigid air. She didn’t want to stop, didn’t want to listen, but the urgency in Damon’s voice made her pause for a moment. She glanced back, saw him closing the distance, and picked up her pace, pushing through the snow-covered landscape.

Damon was relentless, determined not to lose her. He knew the dangers in these woods, especially in winter. Suddenly, Kyra’s foot slipped on an icy patch, and before she knew it, she was sliding down the steep slope of a mountain.

"Ahhhhh!!! Help..." Her screams echoed through the forest as she tumbled down, unable to stop herself.

"Little thing!" Damon yelled, his heart pounding in fear. Without a second thought, he shifted into his dragon form, his massive wings unfurling as he launched himself off the ground and flew after her.

Kyra’s descent was fast and chaotic, but Damon was faster. He swooped down, his sharp eyes locked onto her. Just as she was about to crash into the rocky base of the slope, he caught her in his powerful claws, lifting her up and away from danger.

He flew her to a nearby clearing, gently setting her down. Shifting back into his human form, Damon crouched beside her, his eyes filled with worry. "Little thing, are you alright?"

Kyra was shaken, her body trembling from the cold and the fright. She looked up at Damon, her eyes wide. "I... I didn’t mean to..."

Damon pulled her into a tight embrace, his voice soft but firm. "It’s okay, little thing. You’re safe now. Please, don’t run away like that again. We need to stick together if we’re going to find your mates."

Kyra nodded against his chest, the warmth of his embrace comforting her. For the first time, she realized just how much Damon cared for her safety.

Her eyes became wet, and her heart felt tight. The day had been so messy, so overwhelming. She couldn’t hold back her tears any longer.

Damon shifted into his human form and hugged her tightly. Kyra melted into his embrace, feeling the familiar warmth and scent that brought her comfort.

Both of them stood there, hugging each other tightly. Damon held her as if she might disappear at any moment. As he felt her warmth against him, something shifted inside him. His eyes turned obsessive, and his big hands gently caressed her back, feeling her presence, grounding himself in the reality of her being there with him.

Suddenly, a fierce snowstorm began. The wind howled through the trees, and snow whipped around them, making it hard to see and breathe. Damon pulled Kyra closer, shielding her from the worst of the storm with his body.

"We need to find shelter," he said urgently, his voice barely audible over the roar of the storm.

Kyra nodded, her face buried against his chest, trusting him to keep her safe. Damon scanned the area, spotting a cave entrance not too far away. Without wasting a moment, he lifted Kyra into his arms and trudged through the deep snow, fighting against the fierce wind.

They reached the cave, and Damon quickly set Kyra down, ensuring she was okay before checking the surroundings. The cave was dry and offered some protection from the elements, but it was cold and dark.

"We’ll be safe here for now," Damon said, wrapping his arms around Kyra to keep her warm. He could feel her trembling, whether from the cold or the events of the day, he wasn’t sure.

Kyra clung to him, her tears finally falling. "I don’t know what to do, Damon," she whispered, her voice breaking. "Everything is so confusing."

Damon’s heart ached at her vulnerability. He kissed the top of her head gently, trying to offer some comfort. "We’ll figure it out together, little thing. I promise. But for now, let’s just focus on staying warm and safe."

The storm raged on outside, the snow covering the land, and it was getting so cold that Kyra’s teeth started chattering. Damon could feel her shivering uncontrollably, and he knew he had to do something more to keep her warm.

"Come here," he whispered, pulling her even closer. He wrapped his arms tightly around her, his body heat mingling with hers. He could feel her soft breaths against his neck, and it stirred something deep inside him.

"Damon, it’s so cold," Kyra murmured, her voice trembling.

"I know, little thing," he said softly, his lips close to her ear. "Just hold on to me. We’ll get through this together."

Kyra nestled into his embrace, feeling his warmth seep into her cold skin. She felt safe in his arms, despite the fierce storm outside. She looked up at him, their faces inches apart, and for a moment, everything else faded away.

Damon gazed into her eyes, seeing those dreamy, beautiful eyes looking back at him. His heart swelled with an emotion he couldn’t quite name. Gently, he brushed a strand of hair away from her face, his fingers lingering on her cheek.

"You’re so beautiful, Kyra," he whispered, his voice husky. "I can’t lose you."

Kyra’s breath hitched at his words, and she felt a warmth spread through her that had nothing to do with the cold. She reached up, her fingers lightly tracing the lines of his face. "Damon, I..."
