MY Masochistic CEO -
Chapter 122 a new opportunity
Chapter 122: Chapter 122 a new opportunity
Tony’s face flushed. "Why am I getting fired? It’s my friend who landed a big deal. They want to kick my friend out for no reason. It’s their fault, not mine."
"How dare you talk back?" Ms. White interjected. "You’re dead weight, dragging down our department’s performance and bringing in spies from other companies. Are you trying to leak company secrets?"
Upon hearing these words, Mr. Morales became furious.
"Leave now; if you don’t, I’ll make you regret it. The most I’ll do is compensate you with some money!" Tony was about to argue, but I grabbed his hand. "Let’s go; there’s no need to remain here any longer! With incompetent supervisors and leaders, is there any future in this company?"
"What did you say?" Mr. Morales’s face twitched. "Say it again if you dare."
I gave him a cold stare and said, "Are you accusing me? Do you think I would go as far as finding someone to harm you?" I had plenty of resources at my disposal. Did he think I was scared of him? "If ten thousand won’t suffice, then twenty thousand; if twenty thousand won’t suffice, then thirty thousand. I’ll even put up a million to challenge you!"
I was tall, and my demeanor had changed these days. My confidence was particularly strong, especially with money in my pocket. Mr. Morales’s face alternated between red and white, leaving him momentarily speechless. Ms. White exclaimed, "Who do you think you’re intimidating? Do you really have a million to spare?"
I paid no attention to this individual; if she had been attractive, it might have been a different situation, but unfortunately, she had a harsh and unpleasant countenance. I chuckled, "Curse me as much as you want."
After that, I took Tony and walked out of TT Media, heading to the neighboring FF Media. Two companies facing each other must be competitors, and the kind that fight tooth and nail. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have posted such brainless things as "No entry for competitors" at the door, which would have given customers a very bad first impression.
There were many people standing at the entrance of FF Media, but when they saw us walk in, no one stopped us.
I scanned the crowd and spotted a charming girl. With a smile, I inquired, "Hey, lovely, is your company’s CEO available? I have an important deal to discuss with him."
Despite my previous financial struggles, I exuded confidence in my appearance. Clear eyes, strong facial features, embodying the essence of a handsome man.
The girl glanced at the others and replied, "Oh, are you seeking our CEO?"
"Yes, please tell him I have a project worth millions!"
What? A project worth millions!
The girl seemed shocked, but others laughed. Their eyes were filled with mockery, seemingly questioning how a project worth millions could be dismissed in such a manner.
"Alright, wait here."
With that, the girl walked inside.
Despite being surrounded by everyone, I wasn’t afraid. Instead, I suggested to Tony, "Why not introduce yourself to everyone? They’ll be your colleagues from now on."
Tony, looking uncomfortable, softly grasped my hand and murmured, "William..."
The others chuckled, teasing him with smiles.
"I’ve seen people brag, but never this good."
"Exactly, a million-dollar project? If it’s real, would they kick them out?"
"I think this kid is a spy from another company, here to find out our secrets."
"No way, his acting skills are too good."
The people nearby were engaged in animated discussions. Tony’s expression was grim, particularly with TT’s employees also present in the corridor. Mr. Morales and Ms. White stood at the forefront.
"Mr. Morales, rest assured, they’re just pretending," Ms. White said.
Mr. Morales crossed his arms and said, "I just spoke with FF Media’s CEO on the phone. Let’s just wait and see." Although the two companies were rivals, the CEOs still had connections.
Their voices were loud, and I could hear them clearly.
Shortly after, the girl emerged, accompanied by a well-dressed man in his thirties who sported gold-rimmed glasses and exuded an air of competence. Approaching us, he scanned us and, with a professional smile, introduced himself. "Hello, I’m the boss of FF Media. How can I assist you?"
I glanced at the badge displaying the name Marc and replied, "Hello, Mr. Jones. I’m here to discuss a potential collaboration project with your company."
After shaking hands, I retrieved a cooperation agreement from my bag. "Feel free to review it to confirm its authenticity."
He took the contract and quickly scanned it. His expression suddenly changed, a hint of surprise appearing in his eyes. The professional smile on his face transformed into a genuine one. "Haha, we have a distinguished guest indeed. Hazel, please bring the coffee I had prepared in my office."
He glanced at the employees around him and reprimanded, "What’s the matter with all of you? We have a distinguished guest here. Is this how you treat them?" The surrounding employees were left speechless, staring in disbelief.
"Hmph. I’ll settle the score with you later." After reprimanding the employees, he took my hand and led me inside. I smiled faintly and followed him. Upon entering the negotiation room, a girl named Hazel brought the coffee over.
"How should I address you?"
"William Maine."
"Ah, so it is Mr. Maine indeed!" He smiled. "About this contract..."
"The project is no problem for you, but I came here to discuss cooperation."
"Cooperation is great; I love cooperation the most," he said with a smile.
"For a ten-million project, how much is the pure profit on your end? I want a percentage split." I got straight to the point.
His expression shifted slightly. "This information is confidential to the company. How can I reveal it?"
"If that’s the case, there’s no need to continue the discussion." I signaled to Tony, he understood and stood up.
"Mr. Jones, sorry for the disturbance."
After saying that, Tony took the lead to leave, but as I was about to step out, Marc said, "Wait, Mr. Maine."
I turned around, asking, "Is there anything else?"
He said, "You see, the coffee has just arrived. Have a drink before you leave." I chuckled; this guy was truly cunning.
"Today, I’m here to talk about collaboration, not just to have coffee. Oh, I forgot to mention, this is just one of the projects; there are more to come, starting at a million and the sky’s the limit!" I exclaimed.
