My Love Debts Are Everywhere! -
Chapter 711 - 711: Activating the Eyes of Chaos in Full
Leon stared at the floating chunks of meat, watching as they slowly began to reassemble.
It wasn't a surprising sight. He had killed and destroyed the Hydra before, yet the monster always came back—and each time, it returned stronger than before.
Back during the attack on the capital of the Holy Empire of Elysium, Leon had also fought a dragon-like creature that could endlessly resurrect.
But compared to that, this Hydra was clearly on another level.
The dragon's resurrection was due to the control of the Fourth Apostle of the Temple of Twilight, who used a black crystal orb hidden deep within the beast's flesh.
Leon had already used the Eye of Chaos to examine the Hydra's remains, but he found nothing similar.
This proved that the Hydra's regenerative ability far surpassed that of the dragon monster he had once faced.
At this point, calling the Hydra immortal didn't seem like an exaggeration.
"Huh..." Leon exhaled deeply, a complicated look on his face. "Is there really no way?"
For the first time, he felt truly cornered—with no clear path forward.
In all his past battles, he had always emerged victorious, always held the upper hand.
Only once, against the Evil God's Consciousness in the Forest of Eternal Silence, had he ever been overwhelmed—nearly defeated.
Even then, he had turned the tide, thanks to Miranda, who had discovered the enemy's weakness just in time.
This Hydra was not only more troublesome… it was also far stronger than the Evil God's consciousness Leon had once faced.
"Nothing yet, Miranda?" Leon asked, his voice low and heavy.
"I'm sorry, Master," she whispered, guilt heavy in her voice. "I… still can't find it. I've failed you…"
Her purpose was to help Leon overcome any challenge.
But now, she couldn't even contribute—and that made her feel like a burden.
"It's okay." Leon took a deep breath, trying to steady himself. "I understand. This monster really is powerful. Even I haven't found a way to defeat it."
A wry smile tugged at his lips as he added, "I'll keep trying. If I lose in the end… well, maybe that's just fate."
Then suddenly, Leon's eyes widened, and his heart skipped a beat.
He clutched his right eye and muttered, "Wait... fate? That's right! How could I forget!"
A surge of excitement rushed through him. His eyes lit up as he exclaimed, "Miranda! I've found a way to defeat it!"
Miranda's eyes widened in shock. Curious and hopeful, she asked, "How, Master?"
Leon let out a low chuckle, a mysterious smile forming on his lips. "It's simple—I'll sever its fate."
"Fate?" Miranda repeated, stunned. "What do you mean?"
"Fate… yes, fate," Leon repeated with a quiet laugh, his gaze sharpening as it locked onto the Hydra, now nearly fully regenerated. "Every being in this world has a fate—even the Evil God, doesn't he?"
"Yes… even the Evil God has a fate," Miranda nodded softly.
Gods or mortals—it didn't matter. All were bound by fate.
In a way, fate was the supreme throne that ruled over everything.
There was no true escape from it unless one could transcend and reach the highest realm—a level beyond even the gods.
Unfortunately, that was nothing more than a myth. No one truly knew what lay beyond... not even the gods themselves.
"Well…" Leon smiled faintly. "Remember that middle-aged man with white hair and blind eyes? He once said fate is like a red thread connecting all living things. From that thread, the future of every being is woven. There's no way to escape it… not even by running. So, I'm going to cut Hydra's red thread."
The moment those words left his mouth, Miranda's heart skipped a beat.
"Cut the Hydra's thread of fate?" She gasped, stunned. "But… how?"
"That part's easy," Leon said with a calm smile as he rubbed his eye. "I have the Eyes of Chaos, don't I? You once told me those eyes can see everything in this world. And I also possess a hero technique that can sever the past and future of a single being. I'm certain—this is the only way."
Miranda was speechless. After a few moments of silence, she took a deep breath and spoke seriously, "I can fully awaken your Eyes of Chaos. But the consequences—"
Before she could finish, Leon chuckled softly and cut her off.
"I know what you're worried about, Miranda. But this is the only way. If we don't act now, the world could face a disaster even before the Evil God arrives. And when that happens—there won't be a second chance. No time for regrets."
Once again, Miranda was left speechless. Her master was right.
If the Hydra escaped into the outside world, the devastation it would unleash would be beyond imagination—chaotic, unstoppable, and terrifying.
Yet the risk of fully awakening the Eyes of Chaos was immense—and with her master's current strength, it bordered on impossible.
After a moment of silence, Miranda clenched her fists and gritted her teeth. "Alright… let's do it!"
"Good!" Leon let out a bold laugh as he raised his right hand and shouted, "Great Sword of Chaos, heed my call!"
*Boom!*
The once-clear sky turned pitch black. Thunder exploded across the heavens, shaking the very air like a roar from the abyss.
Sensing danger from the swirling black clouds above, the Hydra let out a furious roar.
Without hesitation, its fire and water heads launched a violent assault.
The fire head hurled five enormous fireballs, each over ten meters wide, while the water head summoned a monstrous tsunami that surged straight toward Leon.
But as if he had anticipated everything, Leon stood his ground—completely unfazed.
*Whoosh!*
His body flickered, vanishing and reappearing in rapid bursts of movement.
Yet the other Hydra heads quickly joined the assault, overwhelming him with a relentless barrage and driving him into a disadvantage.
*Boom!*
Thunder rumbled once more. From the swirling black clouds above, the Great Sword of Chaos slowly descended—majestic and overwhelming.
Wherever it passed, space bent and the air grew heavy, distorting under its sheer presence.
Seeing this, Leon immediately triggered his transformation. His black hair turned stark white, and his golden eyes shifted to glowing violet.
As his hand closed around the Great Sword of Chaos, an immense surge of power rushed through him.
A faint smile tugged at his lips as he gently ran his fingers along the blade.
"Miranda, let's begin."
"Yes, Master!"
*Boom!*
A torrent of chaotic power erupted from Leon's body, accompanied by a blinding flash of black light from his eyes.
Moments later, the light faded—revealing a transformation more profound than before.
His purple eyes were gone, replaced by pure black. His pupils had changed: the right one shaped like a crescent moon, the left like a blazing sun.
"So this… is the full power of the Eyes of Chaos?" Leon whispered in awe.
Unlike before, this perfected form allowed him to perceive what was once hidden.
Even the tiniest speck of dust now appeared with absolute clarity before his eyes.
He could also see streams of golden light flowing through the air, gently weaving like a melody—that was the power of nature.
As one of the world's fundamental forces, it was ever-present—constantly shaping reality itself.
For the dragon race, it was the very source that fueled their nature magic.
Now, with the Eyes of Chaos fully awakened, Leon could see everything in perfect clarity.
"Master! Don't just stand there—hurry! Your body won't last much longer under the pressure of the Chaos Eye!" Miranda's faint voice echoed in his mind.
Snapping out of his daze, Leon gave a quick nod. "Understood… sorry, Miranda."
Awakening the Eyes of Chaos had come at a heavy price—Miranda had sacrificed a portion of her life force to make it possible, and Leon didn't take that sacrifice lightly.
Even now, his body trembled under the weight of the overwhelming power surging through him.
*Whoosh!*
Two massive fireballs hurtled toward him at blistering speed—but to Leon, they moved like slow-drifting embers.
With effortless grace, he stepped aside, avoiding them completely.
The Hydra roared in frustration and launched another assault, but once again, Leon dodged without breaking a sweat.
His eyes narrowed, locking onto the Hydra's body as he searched carefully… And then, he saw it.
A faint red thread shimmered behind the Hydra—so thin and delicate, it nearly escaped even the Eyes of Chaos.
"There you are," Leon muttered, a cold smile forming on his lips.
Without hesitation, Leon soared into the sky, raising the Great Sword of Chaos high above his head.
"Hero Technique…"
*Whoosh!*
Behind him, a massive clock-shaped avatar, tens of meters tall, emerged. At first, its surface gleamed with a soft, milky white hue, radiating a brilliant, divine light.
But slowly, that light dimmed. Its color deepened into pitch black, and the once-divine glow transformed into a sinister, oppressive aura that pierced the soul.
*Dong!*
The long hand of the clock slid sideways, unleashing a thunderous chime that echoed across the sea for dozens of kilometers.
The Hydra felt it instantly—an overwhelming aura of death radiating from the clock avatar behind Leon.
With a chorus of snarls, its nine heads reared back and unleashed a furious barrage of elemental attacks.
But not a single attack reached him. Each one was devoured by the chaotic energy swirling around Leon, reduced to nothing.
As the Hydra's nine heads stared in growing fear, the long hand of the clock avatar moved once more.
*Dong!*
Chaos surged around the Great Sword of Chaos, wrapping it in a dense, overwhelming aura.
With a faint smile, Leon swung the blade downward in a sharp vertical arc and roared, "Clock of Destiny—Strike!"

A/N: For those who may have forgotten, this is the ultimate technique Leon used against Liliana in the first few chapters. Feel free to revisit those scenes if you'd like a refresher. Thank you!
