Chapter 166: Chapter 165: The Grandmaster Will Bless You
Ever since she freeloaded a meal of crabs over at Yu Changkong’s place, in the following days, Qin Liuxi always happened to encounter Uncle Qian bringing fresh ingredients after finishing her diagnoses, and thus freeloaded lunch as well.
On the seventh day of formal treatment, after Qin Liuxi had completed a set of treatment procedures and applied the eye drops, she was about to bind the ribbon.
Yu Changkong opened his eyes, but froze, blocking her hand.
"What’s wrong?"
Yu Changkong looked at her. He saw a blurry figure that seemed very young and appeared to give off a faint golden light.
But that’s not the point. He was accustomed to ten years of darkness, and suddenly there was another color, gold, shining brightly, a kind of light that reached straight into his heart.
It made him tremble.
"Young master? Are you feeling unwell?" Sifang, seeing him stand there in silence, became anxious.
Qin Liuxi, however, seemed to have realized something. With a raise of her eyebrow and holding the ribbon, she smiled and asked, "What, can you see now?"
Clatter.
Something fell outside the door. Immediately following, two figures rushed in, one was Uncle Qian, and the other was the usually aloof and reticent Da Qiong.
Sifang’s legs gave out, and he fell to a kneel in shock, his lips trembling as he looked at his young master: "Young master, you... can you see now?"
Uncle Qian also rubbed his hands together in excitement, his face beaming with a smile: "Young master, can you see it? Can you see this old servant?"
Yu Changkong suppressed his excitement, closed his eyes and then opened them again. He still saw a blurred figure and couldn’t make out the appearance but he could tell there were several people in the room.
"I can see light and shadows, but I can’t see the details clearly. Master?" He pointed at Qin Liuxi, then at Uncle Qian and Da Qiong, and finally at Sifang sitting on the ground.
"That’s right, you’ve got it, young master, you can see!" Sifang burst into loud sobs.
Uncle Qian wiped his tears, smiling as he said: "That’s wonderful, this is really wonderful."
Da Qiong was the best at controlling his emotions, merely pursing his lips into a straight line and silently turning to the side.
Qin Liuxi smiled and said, "Being able to see the shadows shows improvement. Slowly, you will be able to see more clearly. I indeed thought you’d need ten days."
"Master, it’s only been seven days, and I can see. Your medical skills are extraordinary, this old servant will kowtow to you." Uncle Qian knelt down and kowtowed three loud times, and Sifang did the same, while the reserved Da Qiong gave Qin Liuxi a deep bow.
This young Master Buqiu could be said to be the savior of the young master!
Qin Liuxi uttered a sound of disapproval, waving her hand and said, "No need for this, I’m merely doing my duty. If you wish to express gratitude, just make sure to prepare what you promised earlier."
"Don’t worry, the golden statue of the Grandmaster is already being sculpted, there won’t be a shortage," Uncle Qian immediately replied.
Qin Liuxi nodded in satisfaction: "That’s good."
She looked at the ribbon in her hand and said, "Now that you can see light and shadows, you don’t need to wear this ribbon. Get used to it, to avoid being shocked by the sudden clarity of bright white light."
Yu Changkong nodded and said, "It’s noon again, isn’t it? Master, please stay for today’s meal."
"Not today, the Double Ninth Festival is nearing, and there are more people coming up to the Qingping Temple to request talismans and offer incense; talismans are running low, I need to make a trip to the temple."
Born to toil, it can’t be helped.
Yu Changkong immediately said, "Then I will accompany the master on her visit, I also want to eat the vegetarian meal from the Qingping Temple. It’s also dull staying in the manor every day, and listening to Daoist Qingyuan reciting scriptures is good too."
"That’s right, that’s right, let’s go add incense oil!" Uncle Qian, fearing Qin Liuxi would disagree, added another sentence.
Adding incense oil, well, that’s perfectly fine.
Qin Liuxi, with a beaming smile, said, "Blessings to the Infinite, the Grandmaster will protect you all!"
