My ‘Healing’ Game
Chapter 770: The Florist’s Home

Chapter 770: Chapter 770: The Florist’s Home

Dressed in black, Han Fei stood alone with his black umbrella, walking on the silent streets.

"Black rain is falling from the night sky, as if the unspeakable above my head is fading away."

With only a drop of blood to his name, Han Fei was currently under tremendous psychological pressure. He could now confirm that the dark clouds shrouding the Black Rain Area were a monstrously large ghost.

"The mirrors in the Black Rain Area are left by the unspeakable, but why do they shatter every time Kuangxiao and I appear in them? Is it because our past killings have exceeded the mirror’s limits, or are the mirrors in the peripheral areas just some shoddy workmanship left behind by the unspeakable?"

Han Fei couldn’t enter the Blood-colored Orphanage, and the only way he could communicate with Kuangxiao was through those mirrors filled with death. In this eerie area, Han Fei had found a way to communicate with Kuangxiao, albeit it might involve breaking a few mirrors.

Thinking about various matters, the sound of the rain masked Han Fei’s footsteps. He blended completely into the street with his black umbrella, as if he was originally part of this place.

"I’m about to enter another street. I must have gone deep about five hundred meters, but I haven’t seen a single ghost yet."

Even in the Death Building Area, which had been cleared by Han Fei several times, occasional straggler ghosts would appear. Perhaps the area is not devoid of ghosts; they simply know very well how to hide.

Continuing forward, Han Fei abruptly stopped in his tracks when he reached the back door of a bun shop.

By the garbage pile near the back door of the small shop lay a ragged man. His skin, exposed to the black rain, was severely corroded, looking like a lump of flesh wrapped in rust.

If Han Fei’s Life Value was normal, he might have approached to inspect, offering help if possible, or killing the man. But right now, he didn’t dare to get too close.

"Rain..."

The man noticed Han Fei and, mustering all his strength, tried to crawl towards him. As he moved, a wooden plank from the garbage pile fell, breaking the alley’s silence.

"If you don’t want to end up like him, you’d better leave quickly," a chilly voice sounded from behind Han Fei. He had not noticed how the person had sneaked up on him, directly causing him to break out in a cold sweat.

Whirling around, Han Fei saw the back door of the bun shop slightly ajar; a bloodshot eye, full of blood silk, was staring intently at the black umbrella in his hand.

Without hesitation, Han Fei immediately left the place. He was frightened; had it not been for the black umbrella he was holding, which made the other party hesitant, he might have lost his life just then.

"The blind old man in the club also doesn’t make a single sound when he walks. Are they even human or are they ghosts? Why do they not have any Dark Energy on them but instead possess deeply hidden malice and Death Intent?"

Ghost and Monster are enveloped in Dark Energy, but they too can be good or bad. The intensity of Dark Energy simply reflects the power of a Fierce Ghost.

Yet, the "people" in the Black Rain Area all emanate malice and Death Intent. They are purely bad and evil.

Han Fei quickly reached the end of the alley and stealthily glanced back.

The door to the bun shop slowly opened, and from it emerged an abnormally long, dark-spiked arm. It parted the man’s mouth and poured something into it, and then pressed him against the side of the garbage pile.

The man, already corroded by the black rain, could no longer speak. He struggled with all his might, causing a large amount of garbage to fall, revealing his legs fixed within the garbage pile.

The man was merely bait used by the monster in the bun shop, a tool for hunting.

"The ghosts and monsters in other areas wouldn’t do something like this," Han Fei glanced again at the deformed arm, a flicker of doubt in his eyes, "Is he really human?"

After encountering the monster in the bun shop, Han Fei grew even more cautious. He firmly remembered the survival strategies he had summarized for the Deep World, restrained his curiosity, and continued on his journey with his head down.

"First, complete the mission, then explore after the blood volume is restored," he muttered.

Turning on the switch for Master-level Acting in his mind, Han Fei undid the top button of his shirt collar to let the scent of Big Evil subtly permeate the air.

There was only a drop of blood, but Han Fei made a formidable first impression on others.

The edge of his black umbrella concealed half of Han Fei’s face as he walked alone through the rainy city lanes, exuding an indescribable sense of oppression.

"All the natives are hiding in their rooms, daring not to make a sound. At a time like this, only the most terrifying monsters would dare to travel outside, like... me."

He quickened his pace. The skyscraper in the distance became increasingly clear, and the closer Han Fei got, the more he felt the building’s uniqueness. It seemed like the center of the world, irresistibly drawing him in, longing to be crushed, devoured by it.

After about fifteen minutes, Han Fei noticed the buildings on either side of the road were changing, the floors getting taller, and the types of buildings becoming more diverse. He had unwittingly entered the Inner Area.

"The rain seems to have gotten heavier," Han Fei moved the black umbrella aside and gazed at the surrounding buildings, the strange familiarity growing stronger as if he had left the game and returned to the Xinhu Old City District.

Indeed, this Inner Area enveloped by the Black Rain had the same architectural style as the Xinhu Old City District, as if the old district from over a decade ago had been directly transplanted here.

"Did the Unspeakable that resides in the Black Rain Area once live in the Xinhu Old City District? Did the most unforgettable memory of his life take place in the Old City District, causing him to rebuild Xinhu Old City in the Deep World?" Han Fei was startled by the thought that sprouted in his mind, but then he shook his head, "No, if the Black Rain Area is a re-creation of the Old City District by the Unspeakable, then what’s the deal with the skyscraper at the center of the Black Rain Area? The Old City District never had such a structure."

Every time he raised his head to look at the towering skyscraper, Han Fei felt an overwhelming shock, "I remember Jin Sheng once cast a special Curse on me, saying I would enter the tallest building in the Deep World. Could he have been referring to this building?"

Taking a deep breath, Han Fei lowered his head, as the skyscraper seemed like the body of a Divine Spirit, staring too long would subconsciously arouse a sense of awe.

"Let’s complete the mission first." If not compelled by the mission, Han Fei would never risk entering here. Yet, through this mission, Han Fei could roughly see that the system was forcing him toward more dangerous, more desperate directions. It seemed to be the only way to become Unspeakable.

Entering the Inner Area alone, Han Fei was terrified, but he had to maintain a veneer of calm to mimic the behavior of the natives, displaying composure and indifference.

The Inner Area was much livelier than the Outer District. Just arriving here, Han Fei was already targeted by something unknown, as indicated by a reminder from Big Evil.

The enemy was fully capable of killing Han Fei before he could call upon Big Evil, and Han Fei was clear on this. But he didn’t call for Big Evil in panic, instead, he simply glanced in the direction where Big Evil sensed the threat.

The corner of his mouth not covered by the black umbrella lifted ever-so-slightly, revealing a cruel smile tinged with provocation.

"If you dare to come kill me, I dare to die, but the question is, do you dare?"

No one made a move, and Han Fei just walked through street after street, brazenly holding a black umbrella.

After a few more minutes, he finally found the Western-style house mentioned by the blind old man.

Contrary to the luxurious and exquisite image he had imagined, the Western-style house had been abandoned for a long time. Its outer walls were occupied by various ugly-looking plants, and a gloomy wind gusted through the courtyard, where the eerie sound of flowing water could be heard.

"No. 14 Chaohua Road? Is this the florist’s home?" Han Fei’s gaze moved away from the house number, and he pushed open the rusty iron gate to make a crack and stepped inside.

The courtyard was overrun with bizarre plants, and every few meters, there was a flower made up of living human souls. The floor tiles were paved with human bones, and in the stinking swimming pool, a huge shadow moved slowly.

Death Intent and murderous intent twined together, giving this courtyard a unique decorative style.

Through the grove, brushing aside the branches and leaves, lifting the strands of hanging hair, and avoiding the quivering souls, Han Fei stepped deeper into the labyrinth-like Western-style house.

About a dozen meters in, the Big Evil in the Ghost Pattern suddenly became extremely excited, and he immediately stopped in his tracks.

Whenever Big Evil got excited, it meant he was facing a life and death crisis, and the probability of death was very high.

Bending down slowly, Han Fei held his breath and retracted all his aura.

He had reached the end of the garden, and right before him was the abandoned Western-style house.

"Is someone inside?"

Listening carefully, Han Fei discovered the florist was conversing with another person.

"Florist, I have already given you three days. What have you decided?" The man who spoke had a very frightening voice, seeming to wither the surrounding flowers directly.

"I still can’t enter that building; my flower field is outside." The florist’s voice was the same as before. Just by listening to her voice, one would think she was a stubborn old lady.

"Is this the answer you’re giving me?" The man’s voice grew even colder, "The entire Xinhu city is a garden, all souls are flowers waiting to bloom, the Divine Spirit is the master of the garden, and you’re just a florist in the garden."

"I know, but I finally managed to escape..."

"You want the blind man to die? The Divine Spirit has been searching for him." The man no longer negotiated with the florist, his tone was incredibly forceful, "I’ll give you one last hour to think it over clearly. Don’t let your self-interest cause the death of everyone in the Outer District."

"I’m killing everyone? It’s your so-called Divine Spirit that wants them dead. It turned all of you into twisted monsters, yet you worship it as a god. I want to change this, yet you’re forcing me to turn back?" The florist was also angry; the old lady was known for her fiery temper.

"It’s about to awaken! There’s not much time left!" The man was trying hard to suppress the madness inside him, "Do you think you have a choice? In the days since you’ve been torn apart, the people from the Outer District might have already found him. Everyone can only survive if you obediently return to that building!"

The man kept threatening the florist with the Dancer’s life; the short-tempered florist’s only weakness was the Dancer.

Hearing what the man said, the florist fell silent.

The skyscraper seemed to be a place one could hardly leave once entered.

"Now I understand why there was a time limit to deliver the letter. If I had been late, the florist would probably have already entered that building with the other person."

Clearing his throat, Han Fei walked out from the garden.

The appearance of Han Fei didn’t surprise the florist or the other man; they had already noticed him, but neither had made a scene.

"Carrying a black umbrella, with no Death Intent on you, are you a person from the Outer District? How come I’ve never seen you before?" The man threatening the florist set his sights on Han Fei. This man had two heads, one of which was sleeping, hanging crookedly on his shoulder, while the other head had eyes gleaming with a vicious light.

"A Two-headed Man?"

"I’m talking to you!" The man reached out his hand towards Han Fei, and the flowers around him wilted instantly.

"If you want to fight, take it outside." The florist’s cold voice came from a flower pot. At this point, she had only a single head left, her massive body nowhere to be seen.

Though the florist looked pathetic, as soon as she spoke, the two-headed man obediently stopped.

"I’m just here to deliver a letter. You all continue talking; just pretend I’m not here." On the surface, Han Fei appeared nonchalant, but in reality, his heart was pounding. He ignored the Two-headed Man, pulling out the blind old man’s envelope.

Originally, Han Fei had thought of dropping off the letter and leaving, but now that the florist was left with only a head in the flower pot, she had no hands.

After a moment’s thought, Han Fei decided to see it through: "Do you need me to help you open it? He’s a bit worried about you."

The moment the florist saw the envelope, she knew who had written the letter, and she gestured for Han Fei to come closer.

Opening the envelope, Han Fei placed the yellowed piece of paper in front of the florist, politely not looking at the contents of the letter.

Only a few seconds had passed when the system prompt and the florist’s angry roar sounded at the same time.

"How could the mirror possibly crack out of nowhere? It must be your doing! I warn you! If he dies, I’ll plant all of you from the Outer District into flower pots!"

"Player No. 0000, please take note! You have successfully completed the E-level ordinary task of delivering the letter within an hour! You receive double experience rewards! Florist friendliness level increased by one! You can take a flower from the florist’s home!"

"Attention! There is an ultra-rare flower in the florist’s home! Choose carefully!"

Hearing the old lady’s voice, Han Fei and the Two-headed Man showed completely different expressions.

"An ultra-rare flower?"

"They’ve already made their move?"
