My ‘Healing’ Game
Chapter 551: Each Harboring a Ghost Fetus

Chapter 551: Chapter 551: Each Harboring a Ghost Fetus

Han Fei led his subordinates in a taxi rushing to Perfect Plastic Surgery Hospital. He was immensely curious about the hospital and had always wanted to explore what was inside, but he never had a good excuse to enter.

"Team Leader, why do we have to come here to meet the client?" As they looked at the increasingly deserted streets, Brother Jia Shu was a bit bewildered. In his imagination, meeting a client should have been in a high-end hotel or some other more formal setting.

"Today’s client is a bit special. Stay sharp and try to talk as little as possible when the time comes."

In the past, Han Fei saw clients by himself, but this time, with such a grand display, his subordinates couldn’t help but think wildly, starting to guess about the client’s identity and temperament.

The Plastic Surgery Hospital was situated on high ground. After getting out of the taxi, they had to walk a distance, passing through an artificial garden with great landscaping before they arrived at the hospital’s main entrance.

"Do you have an appointment?" The security guard came up to stop Han Fei, eyeing the group with suspicion. "Are you... here for hair transplants?"

"Wait a moment, I’ll make a call." Han Fei took out his phone, logged into Fu Yi’s secondary account, found Du Shu, and sent her a message.

It was probably only three minutes before a very enthusiastic nurse came over from the front desk: "May I ask which of you is Fu Yi?"

"I am."

"Please follow me to ward number one."

Han Fei was about to move forward with his subordinates, but the nurse stopped in her tracks again. "Why don’t your friends wait outside for now? The instructions I received were to bring only you."

"Your Plastic Surgery Hospital makes everything so mysterious?" Li Guo’er was somewhat dissatisfied. She deliberately moved closer to Han Fei. "Team Leader, if it really doesn’t work out, we’ll think of another way."

"I’ll go in and have a look first. Keep in touch with me at all times." Han Fei was not trying to avoid suspicion, but he was genuinely afraid. There were definitely no small number of deaths in this Plastic Surgery Hospital, and that Du Shu was not someone to be underestimated.

Following the nurse into the interior of the Plastic Surgery Hospital, Han Fei compared the map provided by Shen Luo, paying close attention to the patients with bandages wrapped around their faces.

Perfect Plastic Surgery Hospital was extensive, and Han Fei couldn’t help but feel a chill as he walked through it, as if the entire building was sinking into the Ice Sea of Midnight.

Taking the elevator, Han Fei arrived on the fourth floor.

The first ward, where Du Shu was receiving her treatment, was here. The entire floor had been opened up, turning it into a Sky Garden.

"Please wait here for a moment."

After the nurse left, Han Fei walked over to the window and looked into the distance.

The wealthiest clients were all housed in the luxuriously decorated building number one, which also served as the most "hospital-like" front for the Plastic Surgery Hospital. Further inside were several other buildings, but they felt unnervingly eerie.

"It doesn’t feel like a Plastic Surgery Hospital; it’s more like a Mental Hospital. The buildings inside are separated from those outside, as if they are two different worlds."

Han Fei, who possessed tremendous Insight Ability and memory, scanned the environment once and memorized the rough architectural layout of the hospital. He also marked certain areas that looked particularly strange in his mind.

"Overall, the Plastic Surgery Hospital during the day seems quite safe, and there is nothing unusual about any of the staff."

Looking out into the distance, Han Fei wanted to see through the windows of those wards and glimpse the conditions of the patients inside. Unfortunately, all rooms inhabited by patients had the curtains drawn. He could see figures moving inside but couldn’t make out clearly what they were doing.

"Mr. Fu, please follow me." The nurse led Han Fei through the Sky Garden and into the corridor on the other side. The decor here didn’t look luxurious but was simple and warm; just walking through it gave one the feeling of being "healed."

"President Du Shu says you can go straight in." The nurse stopped and gestured for Han Fei to proceed on his own.

He pushed open the unlocked wooden door, and a faint scent wafted into his nostrils. The room was warmer than outside, and quite comfortable.

Soft music played in his ears, mixed with the sound of a babbling brook.

As the curtains parted, Han Fei saw a pair of legs, which could be described as perfect, placed in front of him. His immediate subconscious reaction in his Brain Sea was to back away.

Such beautiful legs, in Deep World, were likely to be made into specimens, and then displayed in some collection room filled with Hatred.

"Did you come looking for me for something?" A woman’s voice said languidly within the room, as if nothing could arouse her interest.

Compared to her perfect figure, the woman’s voice sounded rather ordinary. She seemed to have been injured; her voice always sounded a little strange when she spoke.

"It’s about the gaming company."

"Speak up a bit closer; I can’t hear you." The woman lying behind the curtains lifted her little arm, wiggling her fingers slightly. The two employees who had been around her backed away, not only leaving the room but also closing the door behind them.

"Then I’ll speak a bit louder." Han Fei didn’t dare to stray too far from the door. "The game I’m working on should be a big hit, but the progress is stuck right now. I think you might also be interested in this game, so I thought..."

"What you think isn’t important," the sound of water said from behind the curtains. After a moment, a woman emerged wearing very loose clothes.

Her face was so beautiful it seemed unreal, with not a single flaw on her skin, and her body was of the optimal proportion. From a distance, she radiated a quiet, scholarly air, but up close, it became apparent she had a kind of pride in her eyes, as if nothing was worthy of her attention.

The real Xia Yilan was already very beautiful, but compared to the woman in front of him, she was still five Zhao Qians behind.

Her face was too beautiful; it didn’t look naturally human.

"You always stare at me for a long time, but every time you leave without hesitation," the woman sat on the sofa next to the curtains, not minding the risk that her loose clothes might reveal too much. "When I was a child, my father kept a hound that only obeyed his commands and ignored me. Not long after, my father’s favorite hound was accidentally shot and died in his favorite hunting ground."

From the woman’s tone as she spoke, Han Fei could distinctly feel that she was different from other women; at least the other victims who wanted to kill Fu Yi once had feelings for him. But this woman in front of him hadn’t given Fu Yi a second thought.

She didn’t seem to have feelings of love for Fu Yi; she might have just seen him as an interesting toy.

She wanted to monopolize this amusing toy, yet the toy was anything but obedient, flirting around, seemingly oblivious to its proper "toy" status.

"That dog is only loyal to your father, which shows it’s a good dog." Han Fei was already thinking of leaving, he knew that no matter what he said, he could not persuade the woman before him, she clearly was that kind of highly paranoid, self-centered, yet highly capable person.

"Everyone likes a loyal dog, I actually want a big dog like that too." The woman opened her bag, she took out a scarf and then removed a ring that was obviously very valuable from her finger, threading it onto the scarf, "I’ve heard from Zhao Qian about the issues you’ve encountered, actually, all of them are easy to solve."

The woman tied the ends of the scarf together, she looked satisfied at the scarf in her hands, which now resembled a collar, with the gemstone ring looking like a bell hanging on the collar.

"Most problems in this world can be resolved with money, I can help you go back to making the ’Eternal Life’ game, isn’t that your life’s dream? Your talent shouldn’t be buried."

"Eternal Life’ game, my dream?"

"Think carefully about what and who you truly like, then tell me what you should do." The woman crossed one leg, then tossed the ring-threaded scarf in front of herself.

The scarf, resembling a collar, fell near the woman’s feet, the bright and pure gemstone quietly lying on the expensive carpet.

What should be done in this situation?

Han Fei had not anticipated it would be like this before he came, refusing Du Shu would make creating the game much harder, but acquiescing to Du Shu was also a highly dangerous decision.

Staring into Du Shu’s eyes, Han Fei carefully weighed his options.

"Du Shu has wealth and power, not only is she a regular at the Plastic Surgery Hospital, but she also has intricate connections with this hospital. If I team up with other players to kidnap her, can I force out the hospital’s secrets?"

In ancient times, one held the emperor hostage to command the princes; now Han Fei could use the players to kidnap Du Shu and thoroughly muddy the waters.

If it were only him entering the Shrine Memory World this time, his actions would certainly disrupt his "peaceful, cozy" life. But what’s special is, this time other players are also entering, who can help with these dangerous tasks.

The only thing he needed to consider now was whether kidnapping Du Shu would prematurely trigger world mutation. Du Shu is a key character in Fu Sheng’s Memory World and is very likely to be Hatred.

As Han Fei was pondering, Du Shu also caught the conflicted look in his eyes. A stunning smile appeared on her face, yet a flash of malice flickered in her eyes. She had already envisioned her subsequent plan; anyone who dared betray her would suffer fates worse than death. She wanted to bring Fu Yi’s family to ruin, turn him into an obedient toy, then completely destroy him.

In the past, it was always her who grew tired of others and cast them aside, but Fu Yi had the audacity to go behind her back, maintaining contact with more than seven women at the same time.

Just thinking about it, the hatred in Du Shu’s eyes seemed barely controllable.

Han Fei, highly sensitive to danger and as a master-level actor, clearly understood the deep implications behind those subtle expressions on Du Shu’s face.

This person harbored intense murderous intent! And what was key was that the intent did not seem to be directed at Han Fei.

Shaking his head slightly, Han Fei didn’t so much as glance at the scarf at Du Shu’s feet: "Give me some time, let me go back and think about it."

Du Shu did not know what Han Fei envisioned to kidnap her, as it was difficult for a normal person to have such an association under such ambiguous circumstances.

"How much longer will you need to think?" Du Shu pressed the bright and pure gemstone ring with her toes, "You have a very good wife and a seemingly happy family, but you should know better than I what dirty things are hidden beneath that clean appearance. I can give you time, but you should know that some things cannot be concealed for long."

"What are you trying to say?"

"Once the outside world knows of the mistakes you’ve made, even if your wife and children want to pretend those things never happened, they won’t be able to. They might become so pained that they fall ill or even take things too hard and suffer even more tragic consequences."

Han Fei heard the threat in Du Shu’s words; she might ruin his family or do something even more insane.

The other female victims just hated Fu Yi, wanting to kill him; they bore no such ill will towards Fu Yi’s wife and children, but Du Shu was different.

"Since you put it that way, don’t blame me." Han Fei had intended to first stabilize Du Shu, but now he had changed his mind.

He picked up a mirror from the table and walked to a place not touched by the sunlight, holding it up to his face.

When he faintly saw the reflection of a woman’s figure in the mirror, he placed the mirror in front of Du Shu: "You possess the most perfect face and figure; you are the most beautiful person in the world."

"It seems you’ve made your decision." Du Shu smiled very prettily.

"Unfortunately, in my eyes, you pale in comparison to the other women, each of whom is more attractive than you," Han Fei stared at Du Shu’s face, "To you, beauty is everything, but to them, beauty is merely the most insignificant of sparkles."

Upon hearing Han Fei’s words, Du Shu did not react at first, but slowly her emotions seemed to become extremely agitated, and a thin line of blood surfaced beneath that perfect skin, like a tiny crack.

"Look in the mirror more often, take a good look at your face, after all, all you have left is your beauty," Han Fei left the room. A few seconds later, he heard the sound of the mirror breaking and objects being smashed.

"What does hatred matter? I have not been above kidnapping before, and Little White Shoes still regard me as their big brother," he continually reassured himself. But unless absolutely necessary, Han Fei would never go to such lengths; his priority was to quickly reduce the hatred of others and make up for Fu Sheng’s regrets.

"Qiangwei seems to be an orphan with a number as well, having once lived in that orphanage. With his ability, before the world changed, abducting an ordinary person would have been very easy. Once the world changed and Du Shu became Hatred, it was also highly likely that he could escape with his abilities."

Han Fei trusted Qiangwei greatly. Whether Qiangwei could escape from Hatred or not was no longer Han Fei’s problem, "After all, dying in Memory World doesn’t really result in death, but merely a loss of some memories. Once I finally control the Shrine, everyone can leave together—I am doing this to save them."

Han Fei had not persuaded Qiangwei. Instead, he had persuaded himself first.

Walking out of Building One, Han Fei did not rush to leave. He pretended to be lost, heading closer to Building Two.

As he was about to enter the building, he suddenly saw a doctor wearing a face mask coming out of a ward. The doctor was holding a blood-red bandage, looking tense.
