Chapter 253: Flesh and Blood
Chapter 253: Chapter 253: Flesh and Blood
Her body was stabbed with twelve dinner knives, each one piercing her vitals, and her fresh red blood dyed her a new garment.
"Xu Qin!"
From a distance of about ten meters, upon hearing Han Fei’s voice, her crazed eyes twitched slightly, and her bright red lips parted slightly as if she was saying something. Then, without any hesitation, she plunged the last dinner knife into her heart!
Blood spurted like flying birds in all directions, and the last bit of sanity in Xu Qin vanished completely.
Her slender arms drooped down, curses filled her entire body, and they rolled and intertwined on her pale skin. Completely different souls began to emerge amidst the curse; they were like flowers blooming on the sea of blood, or giant monsters hidden in the deep pools of the curse.
Those thirteen dinner knives were the keys to opening the door of taboo, and now Xu Qin was showing her true form.
Sweet murmurs, an enchanting voice mixed with piercing cries and painful wails, all emotions were eventually covered by Xu Qin’s hysterical laughter.
"Who will tear me apart with their hands, who will embrace such a me, kill this insanely mad me, or be killed by me in madness."
Blood and curses intertwined, and the shadows under her feet spread around continuously.
The sharp dinner knives were just keys that pierced into flesh, all the blood was to open the heart’s door dominated by gluttonous desires.
All the malicious curses in the world flowed in the wounds, with the deepest darkness sweeping around, and the place where she stood seemed like the abyss.
"The most beautiful human skin woven into the most beautiful garment, the most lovely face to be preserved in a jar, I gather the most beautiful of everything, piecing together your likeness, how can this selfish love be tasted by me alone?"
Her slender arms stretched forward, and the dark curse twisted and coiled. A flawless human face emerged on Xu Qin’s body; she stared at the monster wearing a mask, dragging a body composed of curses and rushing towards it.
The building was continuously devouring bloodstains, but it couldn’t keep up with the speed of the blooming blood flowers. Xu Qin had completely lost control; there wasn’t a trace of sanity in her eyes, all the curses within her body were unleashed, and her surroundings became a restricted zone!
Han Fei now understood the real meaning of Curse Aggregation, where every inch of blood and flesh was condensed with despair, other grudges were dominated by despair, but she herself was composed of despair.
Streams of blood shadows rushed towards the monster wearing a mask, with boundless blood-red thorns twisting into man-eating vines, and once entangled, there was no escaping.
The monsters in the Butcher’s house had not expected the woman in front of them to be so terrifying; they had driven Xu Qin into deadly situations several times, but she had never acted so madly even in such perilous situations.
Those monsters did not know that the missing dinner knife had already been returned by Han Fei. With little time, they were forced to set up a deadly trap, and it coincidentally met with Xu Qin at her strongest moment.
Never easily drive a monster mad, the people of the Deep World all understand this simple truth.
The three masked monsters knew there was no escape, so they exchanged a glance and charged towards Xu Qin together.
Their eyes, hidden behind the masks, were filled with malevolence and murderous intent as their bodies transformed at a speed visible to the naked eye.
The two at the front were the pig-faced monsters from Beast Alley, except their bodies were covered with totem-like bloodstains, giving them a bit more sanity than the other monsters.
They drew their slaughter sabers, roaring, and fiercely hacked at the blood-red thorns with blades edged with hatred and despair.
Blood rained down as the two tattooed pig-faced monsters took the lead, while the remaining one in the black robe gave Han Fei a glance, then pulled out a stitched-up little dog from under his clothes.
The sickly little dog’s back was covered in scars, as if it had been frequently torn by something.
The man cut off his own finger and fed it to the little dog.
After swallowing its master’s flesh and blood, the sickly little dog’s eyes filled with blood red, dark energy poured in, and its body began to swell, tearing its back open.
With fangs as thick as thumbs gleaming coldly, the names of people who had abandoned it or who had once given it names were written on the exposed flesh under its fur.
Beneath the seemingly sweet names lurked intense malevolence, as if all had been carved into its body with knives. Perhaps its former masters had long forgotten these matters, but it hadn’t; it remembered the scent and taste of each master.
The giant dog broke free from the blood-colored thorns and lunged at Xu Qin.
Seeing such a ferocious beast biting towards her neck, Xu Qin extended her arms towards it—a simple hug that triggered countless curses throughout the room!
The deepest resentment and despair, nearly a hundred different curses embraced the giant dog, a sight that even the God of Death would find chilling.
No one could withstand Xu Qin’s embrace, her curse surged like the tide, her hug like a wave composed of blades.
Her pale arms slowly closed around, the giant dog’s body wrapped in the wings of death, thrown upwards, breaking through the ceiling.
When the giant dog fell back down, its head and tail had already scattered to different places.
The smooth floor tiles seemed layered with a red velvet of blood, and Xu Qin didn’t care about the blood traces absorbed by the Butcher’s house; with every step she moved, the bloody area would expand even further.
As the slaughter increased, more and more figures formed by curses quietly appeared; this woman was like a natural disaster.
The terrifying giant dog was instantly killed, and the three masked monsters began to fear, yet they still didn’t retreat.
The bloodstain totems converged into a beast’s face, and the two larger pig-faced monsters fed their own flesh to the slaughter sabers; after the sabers were completely reddened, they charged at Xu Qin from both sides.
The man at the back then tore off his loose black robe and hood, revealing a head that was almost animal-like. Beneath his black coat, he wore a tattered white lab coat, with a veterinarian’s ID dangling from his neck.
Shaking his black robe, the man let out a strange noise, apparently having forgotten the human language.
One by one, sickly, stitched-up pets crawled out from under his black robe and white lab coat. The veterinarian slashed his own veins and began to feed the pets.
Standing outside the door, Han Fei saw all this. The veterinarian was neither a resident of Butcher’s house nor a secondary personality of the Spider, and yet he wore the mask of the building.
The doctor seemed to be trying to win them over by giving them the processed masks.
"Ameng wasn’t lying. His mask was indeed taken away."
The veterinarian needed time to control the stitched-up pets. As he began to prepare, Han Fei had already stepped forward with his saber.
The hall they were in had combined four rooms to become the largest room in the building, but at that moment, it seemed terribly small with no place to dodge.
The veterinarian didn’t feel any threat from Han Fei until the crying started. By then, Li Zai had already switched bodies with his brother, Li Nan.
The burly and irate Li Nan charged at the veterinarian, his deformed fists filled with resentment smashing the ground and creating a web of cracks.
Not giving the veterinarian any time to prepare, Han Fei and the neighbors weren’t new to coordination. He moved behind the neighbors, his cold eyes emotionless, quietly focusing on the veterinarian’s neck.
"If it weren’t for you, Xu Qin wouldn’t have lost control. The pain of being stabbed by thirteen dinner knives, you will have to pay back double!"
The veterinarian’s attention was all on Li Nan and the crying, completely unprepared for Han Fei, who lacked any dark energy and was just an ordinary person, daring to intervene in a fight among fierce ghosts.
By the time he realized, Han Fei had already quietly approached him.
Saber in hand, Han Fei aimed a blow at his head.
When the veterinarian saw Han Fei holding the saber, he was briefly stunned, but then he realized he had made a grave mistake.
A dramatic wound appeared from his shoulder to his lower abdomen, and as the veterinarian desperately tried to distance himself, he fell into Li Nan’s hands.
He primarily relied on making pets for slaughter, and his own body wasn’t very strong, but perhaps that was why the Rebirth Saber didn’t split him open right away.
The attack on the veterinarian hadn’t finished yet, and the two pig-faced monsters covered in tattoos were already wrapped in the blood-red thorns under Xu Qin’s feet, being torn at by humanity made from curses.
As the pig-faced monsters struggled, Xu Qin turned her gaze to the veterinarian and Li Nan. She was no longer the person she once was.
Completely controlled by the curse, she cared nothing for what lay before her, desiring only to kill and devour.
A body pierced by dinner knives was like a gate connected to the Curse World; no one knew just how much resentment was hidden within that profound darkness.
"Let me go! If you don’t run now, you too will be killed!" The veterinarian’s last words went unheeded, though there was sense in what he said.
Cry, with his last breath, stuffed the veterinarian into the Spiritual Altar, then briskly pulled Li Nan back as they all ran out of the room together.
Within that expanse of blood-red, Xu Qin’s laughter was still pleasing, crazed, and even carried a deadly enchantment.
"Hurry, let’s go!" Ameng grabbed Han Fei, the event having sharpened the boy’s speech considerably.
Blood spread, and the out-of-control Xu Qin chased after them, violently attacking everything around her.
"Where is the Doctor now? Take us to find the Doctor immediately!" Han Fei ran swiftly, a step slower and he would be pierced by the blood-red thorns.
"They, they want to kill the Writer again..." Ameng was picked up with one hand by Han Fei. The group ran hectically, heading straight upstairs.
The passages within Butcher’s house were continually changing. As more blood was absorbed, the building seemed to come alive; everyone could hear the faint beating of a heart.
"Run toward where the heartbeat sounds strongest!" Han Fei knew that the Spider had yet to find its half-representing goodness. The malevolent heart lay buried deep in the Blood Pool of Beast Alley, so the kind-hearted one must be hidden inside Butcher’s house.
The sounds of impact from outside kept getting louder, and the building shook more noticeably. When Han Fei and his group reached the second floor, the corridors within Butcher’s house began to collapse.
Those sneaking behind to steal Manager Abilities, wanting to kill the Writer again, seemed desperate, careless of everything if it meant accomplishing their final step.
The blood-red covered the world, and in the building in Beast Alley with the most people, a madness unfolded that not even beasts would undertake.
As the outer wall collapsed and the impact sounds intensified with the heartbeat,
when a section of the wall beside Han Fei fell, he finally saw the outside through the gap in the wall.
A multitude of pig-faced monsters appeared outside Butcher’s house, their pig-faced masks cracked, their skin extensively fissured, and things continuously crawled out of their abdomens.
These chunks of flesh gathered together, loosely forming the shape of a person.
When Han Fei saw the face of the flesh monster, the corner of his eye twitched slightly. He never imagined he’d meet the Spider from the Deep World in such a way!
