Chapter 230: Chapter 230 I’m Willing to Become the Monster They Describe with You
There was a special kind of beauty to the woman, intense and bewitchingly strange, accompanied by a strong scent of blood that sent shivers down the spine of those who saw her, captivating them.
She merely curled the corners of her lips, and that smile made the surrounding mist of blood lose its color.
The stark contrast between the half ugly and terrifying pig-faced mask and the other half of her exquisitely flawless, fair cheek shocked everyone who saw it.
The one-eyed pig-faced monster also saw the woman’s smile. Its roaring gradually weakened as the crimson pig’s eye reflected the woman’s figure, and blackish-red blood oozed from its crooked mouth, revealing uneven teeth smeared with chunks of flesh.
It took a step forward, realizing the woman’s gaze was still fixed on a certain place.
Then it seemed to understand something and turned its head to look behind itself.
As the pig-faced monster twisted its neck, the woman in the blood mist suddenly accelerated without any warning.
With the blood mist trailing behind, a malicious curse intermingled in the extreme bloodshed, the dinner knife thinned like a cicada’s wing transformed into a line of bright red, its sharpness as if it could sever the entire filthy world.
"Bang!"
The hefty bone chopper barely blocked the dinner knife, the formidable force sending the woman backward. However, at that moment, the woman, her coat dyed red with blood, contorted her body in a way that no living person could.
Her dinner knife instantly multiplied, and the pig-faced monster had no idea how those knives appeared; it only saw that it had blocked the woman’s first strike when suddenly, the woman’s dinner knives bloomed like splatters of blood.
Blades, one after another, sharply severed the black blood vessels on the monster’s arm.
Blood poured out, and the woman landed steadily. Clutching her knife, she stared at the pig-faced monster, not as if it were a living being, but rather as food to be processed.
Unlike the monster’s wild, brute, wide open attacks, the woman aimed every knife thrust at the most vulnerable parts of its body as if intending to dismember it alive.
This could be a master chef at work, preserving the freshness of the ingredients until death was presented as the final gift.
Blinded in one eye, with severe wounds to its chest and abdomen, the nearly three-meter-tall pig-faced monster appeared rigid and clumsy before the woman, like a slab of fat on a chopping board.
Blood sprayed, moistening the air, thickening the blood fog.
The monster’s movements became sluggishly slower, realizing it was no match for the woman. Perhaps there might have been a chance had it not been injured, but now, continuing the struggle meant death was merely a matter of time.
A retreat sounded in its heart, its actions becoming more defensive.
After forcing the woman back once more, the monster hesitated not and ran towards the alley behind it.
The woman was agile, her speed fast; the monster could only run with all its might to have a chance at survival.
The creature that lived by slaughter was now the prey being hunted, and the brain driven by hunger began to fear ending up on the dining table as someone else’s meal.
With all its attention on the woman behind, the pig-faced monster was oblivious to the emotionless, icy gaze lurking in the dark corner of the alley, fixated on its neck.
The heavy footsteps drew nearer, and Han Fei, lying in wait for a long time, had been waiting for this moment.
He was never a man to forgive and forget. In the Deep World, leniency invites aggression, whereas if you were vengeful, adversaries would think twice about the consequences before targeting you.
Because if they couldn’t eliminate you in one go, they would trigger your relentless vengeance.
The pig-faced monster had made that mistake. Hunger clouded its judgment, leading it to a fatal decision.
Guarding the corpse on the spot was its only chance to kill Han Fei, a pity it didn’t cherish that opportunity.
As the world turns, it had not killed Han Fei, but Han Fei was not about to let it off the hook.
While the monster confronted the woman, Han Fei had already calculated the distance between himself and the beast, having rehearsed his following actions in his mind countless times.
The vigilant attack the unprepared; Han Fei considered all possibilities, adjusted his breathing, and concealed all his presence, as if he were just another corpse thrown in the corner.
As the heavy footsteps finally approached, accompanied by the pungent stench of blood and foul odor, the monster dashed to the corner of the alley.
No longer caring for the gaping hole in its chest, it even stepped on its own trailing entrails.
Blood trailed its path as it endured agonizing pain, but it dared not entertain any distractions.
Run, run for life!
The overwhelming will to survive drove it to desperately distance itself from the woman behind, its attention solely on its pursuer, neglecting its surroundings.
How could a beast driven by hunger understand the cunning and deception of humans?
The seemingly unproblematic end of the alley revealed nothing amiss until the monster drew near, but suddenly a figure emerged from the dense darkness!
Han Fei had timed it perfectly, everything falling into his calculated plan, including the monster’s actions at that moment; he even predicted the monster’s initial reaction upon seeing him.
"Death!"
Without a moment’s delay, the Black Giant Python had already infiltrated the Ghost Pattern. Han Fei cared not for the secondary harm to his body; the icy surge of murderous intent within him, like the Ice Sea, could no longer be contained!
Emanating a heavy Dark Energy, his body enhanced by the Ghost Pattern, Han Fei leaped forth, pouncing directly at the pig-faced monster’s neck.
With his gaze locked on the target, Han Fei employed his greatest speed, plunging his hate-filled Boning Knife into the neck of the pig-faced monster!
"Ah!"
Veins bulging, Han Fei’s arm muscles burst forth with all his strength as he grasped the knife handle, attempting to chop off the Pig-faced Monster’s head, but regrettably, his physical strength was still somewhat insufficient.
The Boning Knife could only cut halfway before it could go no further, and the massive Pig-faced Monster raised its exaggeratedly large Bone Chopper.
Han Fei had anticipated the response of the other party, unable to withdraw the Boning Knife, so he decisively let go, leaving the knife embedded in the neck of the Pig-faced Monster.
That Boning Knife, still bearing the souls of a six-person family killed by the Pig-faced Monster, harbored intense hatred for all Pig-faced Monsters.
The Boning Knife, full of cracks, was not actually sharp; what was sharp was hatred.
So long as the knife pierced into the body of a Pig-faced Monster, the hatred would cling to its body.
The monster, only thinking of escape, never imagined that a seemingly ordinary alley corner could hide another person.
Although Butchers from Beast Alley usually kept to themselves, the two individuals it encountered seemed to have coordinated in advance, their partnership seamless.
With a large gash opened in its chest and abdomen, an eye gouged out, and a Boning Knife stuck in its neck, the Pig-faced Monster, no matter how strong its life power, was close to its end.
Its running speed noticeably slowed. For the first time, fear appeared in the eyes overtaken by hunger as the blood mist approached.
"Are you scared too?" Han Fei had completed what he needed to do and quickly retreated.
The alley was engulfed in a crimson fog. Walking through the puddles of blood, the woman wearing a half mask seemed like the pursuing God of Death amidst those fleeing for life.
She moved extremely fast and was incredibly agile. The Pig-faced Monster could not even touch the hem of her garment and could only watch helplessly as more and more wounds appeared on its body.
Its limbs nearly dismembered, the massive monster was but a slightly larger piece of food in the hands of the woman.
With the final streak of blood drawn, the arm wielding the Bone Chopper fell to the ground, a sight truly stunning to behold.
It was as though the woman sliced along the muscle fibers, finding the gaps in the bones and weak points of the sinew with ease even amid intense battle.
Who knows how many creatures she had dissected to reach such proficient skills.
Her slaughter carried a unique beauty, almost like blood-red art.
Han Fei, holding the Black Giant Python that had just crawled out of the Ghost Pattern, was also stunned.
The woman with the half mask walked through the blood rain, leaving only neatly segmented pieces of corpse on the ground with her gentle steps.
Despite its wailing, the Pig-faced Monster had lost the ability to resist, like meat on a cutting board.
"Despite such cruelty and madness, why do I feel beauty indescribable?"
The woman didn’t let the Pig-faced Monster get near Han Fei and didn’t approach him, either.
This unusual behavior left Han Fei somewhat puzzled. As the Pig-faced Monster lay dying, he stepped out of the darkness and approached her.
To his surprise, upon seeing him come closer, the woman stopped her attack and backed away, leaving the Pig-faced Monster on the ground and letting herself stay within the blood mist.
Separated by the near-dissected body of the One-eyed Pig-faced Monster, Han Fei and the woman stood on opposite sides of the alley.
After a moment of hesitation, Han Fei still called out the name.
"Xu Qin?"
Without nodding or shaking her head, the woman in the blood fog simply pointed to the mask on her face and then gestured for Han Fei to stop advancing.
She seemed to be in a state of confused frenzy from afar, her presence exuding a heavy stench of blood and a chilling aura of killing intent.
Her overcoat was completely soaked with bloodstains; her eyes beneath the mask were overflowing with Curse.
She appeared to be on the verge of losing control, a recollection that reminded Han Fei of past events.
The Curse could give Xu Qin power, but it could also make her lose herself; such negativity could only be countered by constant feeding.
Han Fei knew Xu Qin had her own difficulties, but he still resolutely walked forward.
It’s simple logic; when facing insurmountable issues, two people can at least share and rely on each other.
Seeing Han Fei approach, the woman retreated further into the blood fog. Pointing again to the mask on her face, the ugly Pig-faced Mask seemed as if it wanted to grow into her face.
"Is it because of that mask that you don’t want me to come over?"
Han Fei took out a fragmented mask from his pocket, looked towards the woman in the blood fog, and then raised his hand, ready to wear the mask on his face.
"If you think wearing a mask will turn you into a monster, then I’ll join you."
Pressing down the switch in his Brain Sea that controlled emotions, Han Fei leveraged his Master-level Acting ability to let his own emotions and memories settle, truly prepared to try on the mask.
Just as the mask was about to touch his face, the blood fog surged, and a blade struck from the side, knocking the mask away.
Looking at the broken Fragment of the mask in his hand, Han Fei lifted his head to see the woman in the blood-red coat had reached his front without him realizing.
