Chapter 151: Chapter 151 - You’re Stealing from Kids Now?

The sudden scream from the fourth floor startled Han Fei, and then he heard the voice of that little boy in the corridor.

"Why are those three messing around again! I should have let Mom strangle them all when I had the chance!"

The little boy muttered under his breath before hurrying upstairs.

As the boy headed up, Han Fei gently pushed the security door open a crack and saw the boy’s retreating figure.

The boy was wearing the uniform of Yimin Private Academy, but it was clearly too big for him, hanging off his body awkwardly.

After the little boy ran off, the door to the neighboring dorm manager’s room opened, and the sound of measured, heavy footsteps emerged as the dorm manager took a flashlight and also headed upstairs.

"There might have been a fatality, this place feels a lot messier than Happiness Residential Community," Han Fei pieced together the information he had witnessed: "The little boy in the next room, he must be the one who put needles in the fruit, those thank-you letters are probably related to him as well."

"He didn’t seem surprised when the scream was heard; he even mentioned ’they’ve escaped again.’ It seems he knows who the murderers are."

"From the information gathered so far, at least four individuals inside the building harbor malice, and they are all acquainted with each other."

Once the dorm manager had left, Han Fei stepped out from behind the door. He put the landlord’s ring back on and then walked upstairs.

Although the dormitory building had only four floors, each floor had many rooms. However, every room was deathly silent, devoid of any sound.

Stealthily reaching the corner between the third and fourth floors, Han Fei could faintly hear noises from above.

"I only killed one, why are there corpses everywhere inside the building now?"

A middle-aged woman’s voice came from beside the fourth-floor security door, as she dragged a female corpse out from Room 401.

The corpse’s belly was extremely shriveled, as if two layers of skin were stuck together, as though everything inside had been scooped out.

The dorm manager was very strong; she wrapped the female corpse in a bedsheet and carried it downstairs.

Han Fei reacted quickly, decisively retreating back to the third-floor corridor.

The keys in his pocket clinked together, and with every step the dorm manager took while carrying the corpse, a faint sound followed. She didn’t enter the third-floor corridor but continued straight downstairs.

After the dorm manager had left, Han Fei went up to the fourth floor.

"The door to Room 401, near the left corridor, is open, as is the bathroom door next to it. Did someone encounter a fatal incident while going to the bathroom in the middle of the night? Where did the roommates go?"

Bracing himself, Han Fei entered Room 401. At first glance, it was just an ordinary dorm room with no one inside.

The small room was cluttered with various items. Not daring to linger long, Han Fei rushed to search for anything useful.

The girl who slept in Bed No. 1 was named Qiu Tao. Beneath her pillow, she hid a poetry collection about love, several pages of which had been torn out.

This girl seemed to be in a romantic relationship, writing somewhat flirtatious words on the blank back of her essay book.

"Essay book? Isn’t she afraid the teacher will see? Or is she deliberately wanting the language arts teacher to see?"

With limited time, Han Fei then turned his attention to Bed No. 2.

The opened textbook bore the name of the girl from Bed No. 2—Yu Yingying. An avid fan of celebrities, she seemed to come from a well-off family; the clothes thrown on her bed were noticeably more high-end than her roommates’.

The girl from Bed No. 3 was named Wang Hui. She had two pairs of sports shoes beside her bed and a leave request from the school sports team in her backpack; she seemed to be planning for a future in sports.

Finally, Han Fei approached Bed No. 4, and upon lifting the mosquito net, he immediately sensed something was wrong.

The bedsheet was wrinkled, and the duvet was in disarray, suggesting that something terrible had happened here recently.

"Was the girl the dorm manager just carried out the one who slept in Bed No. 4? But why would she end up like that? There are no wounds on her stomach, yet her insides seem to have been completely hollowed out. Could the ghost be in this room?"

Turning to look around, Han Fei had not had a chance to inspect properly when he heard the voice of the boy from the corridor once more.

"I had everything planned out; why did you three have to come and make a mess of things!"

"We’ll do whatever we feel like doing. Do you really think you’re the boss here?"

"Stop arguing, stop arguing, they’re all going to die anyway."

The voices outside were getting closer, and Han Fei knew he wouldn’t have enough time to get out.

He glanced left and right and then, lifting the bedsheet, hid underneath Bed No. 4.

Holding his breath, Han Fei’s gaze shifted towards the doorway, but he broke out in a cold sweat even before fully turning his head.

He saw a woman’s face beneath Bed No. 1!

With black hair cascading down to the floor, the woman was tied under the bed frame, her eyes wide open as though she died with her eyes unshut.

Clenching his teeth, it was only Han Fei’s fierce self-control that kept him from making a sound.

A moment later, someone entered Dormitory 401 for girls.

The person was wearing a pair of clean white sneakers and sat on Bed No. 1.

"Now that all four girls in this dormitory have been killed, Teacher Ma’s secret will never be leaked."

"He really is a beast. Accepting Qiu Tao’s confession was one thing, but he didn’t stop there; he even went after Chu Xia."

"I really want to kill Teacher Ma."

"Shut your filthy mouths, all three of you! That’s our father!" the boy’s voice suddenly grew louder, "There’s still one more person who knows the secret. When Dad lured Chu Xia into the gym, someone hid behind the equipment and later escaped through the gym’s window."

"With so many people at the school, who knows who the eavesdropper is? We can’t just kill everyone in the school to protect Teacher Ma, can we?"

"Killing everyone in the school is difficult, but what if we change our approach and kill Teacher Ma instead?"

"Can you kill him?"

"All three of you shut up!" the boy harshly said, "I will take care of everything from now on."

"Why should we three listen to you?"

"Out of the quadruplets, only you survived—you sucked away all the vitality and left us three as stillborns, and now you want us to listen to you?"

"Believe it or not, I’ll kill you, too?"

"You three are threatening me?" The boy was somewhat angry, but he didn’t turn hostile, "My power alone is indeed not enough...Fine, I’ll give you all the old items I found around the school, they still have the scent you like on them."

"Then what is it you want us three to do?" The other three voices clearly perked up.

"Leave my body and just stay here in Dormitory 401, don’t go anywhere!" said the boy as he unzipped his backpack, "If you agree, everything in this backpack will be yours."

As the backpack was unzipped, the temperature in the dormitory plummeted, and Han Fei felt the ring on his hand grow cool as well.

However, to Han Fei’s surprise, the coolness from the ring was accompanied by a faint tingling sensation; he looked at his finger and saw the small black shadow that Xu Qin had been nurturing. It lay on the ring, seemingly enjoying the coolness emanating from it.

"Did this little thing enter the Hidden Map with me?"

Cry and Li Zai, lacking a Yimin Private Academy pass, were kept outside the school, but the Academy’s barrier seemed to be directed only against Fierce Ghosts and Grudges.

The small thing Xu Qin nurtured belonged neither to Ghost and Monster nor to life; it was very special, its existence seeming to exploit some loophole.

Desiring objects exuding Dark Energy outside, the black shadow on his finger projected a feeling of hunger. Han Fei could sense the emotion, but he was powerless to act now.

He had once obtained information from a female student who ran into Happiness Residential Community that there was a terrifying ghost student inside Yimin Private Academy who had changed Yimin Private Academy.

Han Fei suspected that the boy sitting on Bed No. 1 could be that very special ghost student in Yimin Private Academy. He needed to be careful and if he really had to make a move, he would wait until the boy had left.

The boy sitting on Bed No. 1 completed the transaction with the other three voices, left the backpack behind, and walked out of Room 401.

After he left, three child-sized apparitions emerged in the room. They retained the outline of children and began to fight over the objects in the backpack.

"That boy instructing the three Ghost Fetuses to guard Room 401 indefinitely is disadvantageous to me. If I continue to hide here, it’s only a matter of time before they discover me." Han Fei wouldn’t log off unless absolutely necessary, "I must run out of the room and then find somewhere to log off so that the next time I log into the game it will be safe."

With muscles tensed, Han Fei watched the room, looking for an opportunity when suddenly an old pair of glasses fell to the ground.

The three black shadows had been grappling for the contents of the backpack and accidentally dropped a set of glasses.

The glasses looked very old, stained with blood and exuding a thick aura of malevolence.

"How about we split it three ways?"

"Fine."

"I agree," one of the shadows said as it bent down. It extended its hand to pick up the glasses but suddenly seemed to sense something was off.

It slowly turned its head to look under Bed No. 4, and there was the face of a man watching it!

"Touch the deep secrets of the soul!"

Using all his strength, Han Fei kicked the black shadow!

He had turned the ability to touch the deep secrets of the soul into an attack on the deep secrets of the soul!

Han Fei had no choice; having played the game up to this point, he had collected a bunch of Passive Abilities.

Now, to deal with ghosts, he had to use his support abilities as if they were offensive ones.

Flipping the bed board, Han Fei grabbed the backpack from the shadow’s hands, while the threads on his fingertips wrapped around the glasses on the ground.

Before the three childlike ghost shadows could react, he was already clutching the backpack and had dashed far away!
