Li Chen caught up with Yu Yueying, who, at the moment, had no idea that Li Chen was behind her. She was still intently monitoring her target, a very ordinary-looking middle-aged man wearing a hat, hands tucked into his pockets.

"Stop right there!" Yu Yueying yelled out.

"Officer Yu, that’s not cutting it," came the voice of Li Chen from the side.

Yu Yueying stood up, glaring fiercely at the fleeing thief.

"I didn’t ask for your help, I would have caught him myself!" Yu Yueying charged into the alley with Li Chen shaking his head and following after her.

It must be said that Yu Yueying’s stamina was quite impressive—she hadn’t been shaken off by the thief. In fact, she was gaining on him fast.

"Stop right there!"

Seeing Yu Yueying behind him, the thief dared not pause; he sped up even faster, his figure disappearing around a corner.

Yu Yueying cursed inwardly and hurried after him. But as she rounded the corner abruptly, the man kicked out at her. Caught off guard, Yu Yueying fell to the ground, and the thief stopped running. With a fierce expression, he seemed intent on injuring Yu Yueying first before making his getaway.

Dropping the stolen bag, the man glowered at Yu Yueying on the ground, malicious light flickering in his eyes.

Yu Yueying got up and adopted a fighting stance. The man suddenly let out a roar and charged at her. As Yu Yueying tried to block him, he ducked low and barged into her.

The man’s brawl technique was shameless, as he wrapped his arms around Yu Yueying’s waist and pushed her back with brute force, yelling all the while.

He was incredibly strong!

Yu Yueying was taken aback and struck with her elbow at his back, but he wouldn’t let go. As she was about to be shoved against a wall, Yu Yueying had a flash of inspiration and tripped them both, sending both tumbling to the ground.

Yu Yueying tried to choke him out, but the man’s brute force was too much; after a struggle, he managed to pin her down, raising his fist to smash into Yu Yueying.

But at that moment, a stone flew in, hitting the attacker’s hand. Startled, the thief saw Li Chen standing not far away.

Without a second thought, the man got to his feet and fled into the distance.

"Tsk tsk, this thief just knocked down the police officer," Li Chen said, shaking his head.

"And you didn’t help," Yu Yueying said icily, looking at Li Chen. This jerk knew she couldn’t catch the thief and still didn’t help her—what kind of friend was that?

"Who was it who just said she could catch him on her own?" Li Chen said with a smirk, walking over to help Yu Yueying to her feet.

"Are you going to help, or not?" Yu Yueying turned to him.

"Why should I help? I’m not a police officer," Li Chen said matter-of-factly, "It’s the duty of the police to catch thieves, but I’m not the police."

Yu Yueying snorted coldly. This bastard, "So we’re not friends anymore?"

"This has nothing to do with being friends," Li Chen chuckled, "unless, like last time, you agree to a request of mine."

"No way!" Yu Yueying decisively refused.

"Then he’s going to get away," Li Chen leaned in, "Are you going to just watch him run away?"

Yu Yueying bit her lip, Li Chen felt a surge of triumph in his heart, certain he had her cornered.

"Fine." Yu Yueying remembered the last time Li Chen took advantage of her and couldn’t help blushing.

Hearing Yu Yueying agree, Li Chen quickly tapped his foot and his figure disappeared without a trace.

The man had abandoned his bag and was still running at full speed. He was scared, but suddenly, a figure appeared in front of him.

"Stop running," Li Chen said indifferently.

How could that be possible?

The man’s eyes widened, how could the other person suddenly appear in front of him?

Right away, the man didn’t care about anything else and charged straight at Li Chen, planning to take him down first and then run away.

However, this time, the result wasn’t as he had hoped it would be. Suddenly, the person grabbed his arm, swiftly moved behind him, and locked his hand behind his back, while simultaneously kicking the back of his knee.

In one second, Li Chen had subdued the man, then struck him unconscious with a palm and picked him up.

Yu Yueying’s gaze was cold as she glanced at Li Chen, but her heart was beating furiously fast, her face was already red, and she puffed out her chest and closed her eyes.

"Hurry up!" Yu Yueying opened her eyes, her face already flushed. Although she was a police officer, this didn’t mean she was very bold or proactive in this respect.

"You’re the one who asked me to touch," Li Chen leaned in, chuckling.
