Chapter 887: Chapter 859: Please Go Die
Speaking of strength, Kester wasn’t particularly weak.
At least, even Gula, who was slain earlier, was only about as strong as him.
But the opponent he faced was different from the one Gula had encountered.
Although the former Ning Wangyang was formidable, he hadn’t reached the strongest state yet.
Li Chen, however, had witnessed Ning Wangyang in his peak state, the demonized state.
Still, even in that state, Ning Wangyang was no match for Li Chen. Or rather, even the demonized Ning Wangyang was completely overpowered when facing Li Chen.
This alone could show just how formidable Li Chen’s strength really was.
Yet even so, Li Chen did not exert his full strength.
Because his opponent was Ning Wangyang, he couldn’t bring himself to strike with full force.
But now, it was different, as Kester faced Li Chen, who already had anger in his heart that had no outlet.
That he wasn’t slain on the spot by Li Chen was already a fortunate outcome.
Watching Li Chen leave, Kester and the others had expressions of lingering fear on their faces. For him, today was truly a nightmare-like experience.
As a councilor of the Dark Council, he was originally considered one of the pinnacle beings in the European Region’s Dark World.
But today, he witnessed what true power really was.
Following the direction where more and more people were headed, Kester found Gula’s corpse and, seeing the tragic state of Gula’s body, his heart shook even more.
Originally, he believed that he and the others stood at the peak of the Dark World.
However, realizing now that he had merely been sitting at the bottom of a well looking at the sky, his emotions were incredibly complex.
"What on earth happened to his body?" Kester felt increasingly unsettled by the horrific state of Gula’s corpse.
Moreover, it is said that this deed was done by the so-called Dark Sword Demon.
But who was that young man leading a group of followers just now?
Kester, carrying Gula’s corpse, and followed by a group of people, slowly left the desolate town.
A challenge that had everyone’s attention thus came to an end.
Nobody knew what exactly had happened, but they all sensed it.
This battle, Gula must have been defeated.
Because Gula’s corpse was left on the site, while the Dark Sword Demon was nowhere to be found.
Shortly after Kester walked a distance, he suddenly saw a figure approaching them from not far away.
Noticing that the person appearing not far away wasn’t the same youth they had encountered earlier, Kester breathed a sigh of relief, and his expression turned haughty once again.
"Who dares to block my path?"
However, Kester’s words did not receive any response.
The figure walking towards them, as if they hadn’t heard him at all, continued to approach slowly.
The sound of footsteps, in this pitch-black night, seemed particularly grating.
"Who are you? I’m talking to you, are you deaf?" Kester’s face darkened once again.
Originally, he was almost tortured to death by Li Chen, and now another member of his clan had died; his mood was already not very good, and now, encountering someone acting all mysterious in front of him, his mood worsened even more.
Yet, the figure ahead of him still did not answer, instead gradually stepping closer to him.
On the ground there, lay a pitch-black longsword, resting quietly in place.
If it weren’t for this figure approaching, even Kester would not have noticed its existence.
It was not until this figure picked up the black longsword that he saw it.
"You are... the Dark Sword Demon?"
Looking at the iconic black longsword before him, a strange expression appeared on Kester’s face.
"The Dark Sword Demon? I suppose... I could indeed be considered a Demon?" Ning Wangyang said with a somewhat hoarse voice, his body still smeared with quite a bit of blood.
Although he couldn’t control his own body during demonization, his sensitivity to the outside world remained.
His body drove him to instinctually flee when facing the more powerful Li Chen, but as soon as he regained control of his body, he immediately returned to retrieve his sword.
He was a Swordsman, and the sword was his life.
Unless he died, the sword would never leave his side!
"It was you who killed Gula?" Kester looked coldly at Ning Wangyang and spoke.
Behind Kester, a group of young people also spread out, subtly encircling Ning Wangyang at the center.
"I killed him, so what?" Ning Wangyang said with an indifferent look on his face.
"You’ve killed him, so prepare to pay with your life!" Kester finally could not hold back the anger in his heart, and a mass of bat wings erupted from his back instantly.
He could feel that the person before him was not as fearsome as the young man from The East he had met before. Moreover, he was badly injured.
Although he had killed Gula, being injured by Gula to such an extent also indicated that his strength shouldn’t be all that great.
With this in mind, what was there for him to fear?
He was a member of the Dark Council! Likewise, as a member of the Blood Clan, how could he stand by idly when his kin, especially one with whom he had a very close relationship, was killed?
"It’s you bats again?" Ning Wangyang cracked a smile, seemingly laughing.
"Just perfect, I’ve had enough of you as well."
"Oh right, there’s something I want to ask you," Ning Wangyang suddenly spoke.
"What is it?" Kester asked, frowning.
Ning Wangyang described Li Chen’s appearance for a moment.
"You... You know him?" Hearing Ning Wangyang’s description, Kester’s face visibly changed and then he looked toward him with a somewhat trembling voice.
"That’s right," Ning Wangyang nodded, "They were all my brothers once."
Once?
Kester’s eyes shifted, and he remembered what Li Chen had said.
But since the man in front of him said it was once, if he killed this man, that terrifying man probably wouldn’t say anything, right?
Besides, if he killed him here, who would know about it?
A sly smile appeared on Kester’s face.
"That’s right. Now, I don’t know how they see it, but as long as I am in my right mind, they are still my brothers," Ning Wangyang’s expression turned somewhat peculiar, "No matter... whether they still consider me a brother or not."
"You’ve threatened my brothers, so please, go to your death."
Across Ning Wangyang’s body, dark patterns began to spread gradually.
