Li Chen was sitting in a corner of the company, deep in thought, when suddenly the mobile phone in his pocket started ringing.

"Hmm?" Seeing the number on the phone, Li Chen was momentarily startled but quickly answered the call.

"Wan’er, how come you thought to call me?" Li Chen said with a smile as he answered the call.

"Brother Li Chen..." Upon hearing Li Chen’s voice, Ouyang Wan’er also seemed very happy.

"Brother Li Chen, I’m calling you because there’s a favor I need to ask of you," Ouyang Wan’er said after exchanging a few words with Li Chen and then getting straight to the point.

"What is it?" Li Chen asked.

"I’m currently in Jiangbei City, yes, the one next to Linchuan," Ouyang Wan’er said. "Recently, we’ve discovered some peculiar situations here, so I wanted to ask for your help."

Hearing Ouyang Wan’er’s words, Li Chen thought for a moment and understood.

However, his struggles were completely futile.

Turning his head, the thief realized with some shock that Li Chen’s grip was unmovable, as if his hand wasn’t caught by a person but clamped by iron tongs.

"You... let go of me!" The thief glared savagely at Li Chen, "I didn’t even steal anything from you, why are you holding on to me like this?"

Li Chen looked at the thief with a seemingly amused expression, "So according to you, if you didn’t manage to steal anything, you’re not a thief?"

Hearing Li Chen’s words, the thief’s face turned pale, but he quickly regained his brazen attitude, "Of course not! I didn’t take anything of yours, what proof do you have that I’m a thief?!"

"I’m telling you, you’d better not mess with me, otherwise, be careful, I might make it impossible for you to get by in Jiangbei City!" The thief looked at Li Chen with confidence, "Do you know who I am? I, A Dong, have connections here in Jiangbei."

"My boss is a big shot in Jiangbei, by the looks of you, you seem new here, right? If you don’t want trouble, you’d best not stir it up, otherwise, I’ll make you regret it!" A Dong said arrogantly, his complexion betraying no sign of self-awareness despite being caught by Li Chen.

The expression on Li Chen’s face became even more peculiar, and there was a hint of oddness when he looked at A Dong.

"Has the public order in Jiangbei really deteriorated to this extent?"

Looking at Li Chen, a hint of doubt started to creep into A Dong’s heart.

His words were a mix of truth and bluffs. If Li Chen really called the police, he could only expect to be arrested, which is why he said all that, trying to intimidate Li Chen.

"You have three arms, don’t you? If one is broken, you still have two left. Eating shouldn’t be a problem, right?" Li Chen said softly with a laugh, looking at A Dong as he knelt on the ground, then turned and walked away.

His mood wasn’t very good, and if it weren’t for this guy practically asking for it, he wouldn’t have taken any drastic actions, but evidently, this person wasn’t as obedient as he had hoped.

After Li Chen had left, A Dong struggled to get up from the ground, glancing resentfully at Li Chen’s retreating figure, and sneaked off to a corner to make a phone call.
