The next day, by the time Li Chen woke up, Lin Yi had already gone to work.

After getting ready and having breakfast, Li Chen also got in his car and headed for the company.

Li Chen chuckled softly and asked:

"Is that foreigner still bothering you?"

"You beat him up like that, do you think he still has the mood to bother me? He probably doesn’t want to see me for the rest of his life." Yang Xin’s voice carried a hint of relief. Bard had been a real nuisance to her before.

"That’s good, where are you heading? Do you need a ride?" asked Li Chen, glancing at Yang Xin and noticing she was holding a book.

"No need, I’m just going up ahead to return this book. Walking is even faster; by the time you could give me a ride, I’d already be there!" After saying that, Yang Xin glanced at the long line of cars in front of Li Chen and let out a little chuckle.

Li Chen looked forward too, and with a shake of his head, he said:

"Alright then."

"I’m off!" Yang Xin waved her hand and started walking to the opposite side of the street.

"Yang Xin!"

Li Chen suddenly called out to her.

"What is it?" Yang Xin stopped and curiously turned to look at Li Chen.

"I helped you out yesterday. Don’t you want to thank me again? How about a flying kiss or something?" Li Chen poked his head out of the window, grinning at her.

"A flying kiss?" Upon hearing this, Yang Xin paused, then looked at Li Chen with a disdainful expression:

"If you dare, why don’t you come and kiss me? Do you have the guts?"

Yang Xin’s gaze was full of provocation, and from yesterday’s incident, she was convinced that Li Chen was someone who had the desire but not the courage!

"Heh..." Seeing Yang Xin’s provocative gaze, Li Chen smiled slightly and without another word, he opened the car door!

Li Chen got out of the car and strode over to Yang Xin.

"What... what are you doing!" As Li Chen approached with determination, Yang Xin was a bit bewildered.

Stopping in front of Yang Xin, Li Chen didn’t say a word and just bent down to kiss her!

"Mm~!" Yang Xin’s eyes widened.

After a full minute, Li Chen finally let go!

"You nearly suffocated me!" Yang Xin gasped for air, glaring at Li Chen!

Li Chen just smiled slightly:

"The taste lingers on!"

At Li Chen’s words, Yang Xin’s face instantly turned red, and she ran off in confusion, clutching her book like a frightened little deer.

Watching Yang Xin’s retreating figure, Li Chen smiled to himself.

Shortly after getting back into the car, the line of cars ahead finally started to move. Li Chen then started his car and slowly pulled away.

Standing at the roadside, Yang Xin turned her head to steal a glance in the direction Li Chen had driven off to, feeling her cheeks still burning hot.

"That jerk, always picking on people!" Stomping her foot, Yang Xin checked her direction and then headed for the bookstore.

"Squeak~!"

But just a few steps away, suddenly, a sharp screeching of brakes came from behind!

A white van skidded to a halt in front of Yang Xin, leaving long black marks on the ground.

The van’s door opened, and several men in black jumped out!

Before Yang Xin could react, one of the men in black covered her mouth and then dragged her towards the inside of the van!

Bang! The door slammed shut again, and the white van sped away into invisibility in the blink of an eye!

The whole incident took only two to three seconds, so many passersby had no time to understand what had happened.

Li Chen drove to the company, parked the car, and with car keys in hand, he hummed a tune as he walked towards the building.

Waiting for the elevator in front of it, soon the elevator arrived. The elevator doors slowly opened.

"Brother Cheen!"

As the elevator doors opened, a delighted voice came from inside.

Li Chen looked up and smiled slightly, "Qianqian? What a coincidence!"

"I thought you wouldn’t come to work today!" Wang Qianqian smiled with pursed lips.

"How could I not, with so many beauties at the company?" Li Chen said with a faint smile, stepping in.

Li Chen pressed the elevator button and casually glanced down at the floor, then looked up at Wang Qianqian:

"Qianqian, you look very pretty today!"

Li Chen looked down at the elevator floor once more.

The elevator floor was somehow replaced today. The white metal plate was as smooth as a mirror.

After a glance, Li Chen said with a grin, "You’re wearing black today, nice!"

"You..." Hearing Li Chen’s words, Wang Qianqian was startled and then noticed what he had done just before.

Wang Qianqian looked down and immediately caught on, letting out a shriek and hurriedly covering her skirt, her pretty face blushing red!

"Ding!"

Just then, the elevator doors opened slowly.

A girl stood outside.

"President Lin!" Seeing Lin Yi outside, Wang Qianqian’s face turned even redder, appearing somewhat embarrassed.

Lin Yi curiously glanced at the two of them, and seeing Wang Qianqian’s brightly blushing cheeks, she finally turned her gaze to Li Chen with furrowed brows:

"Did you bully Qianqian?"

"I wouldn’t dare!" Li Chen spread his hands, but felt a bit guilty.

Lin Yi glared at Li Chen and walked into the elevator.

Standing next to Li Chen, Lin Yi stretched out her hand and fiercely pinched the flesh on his waist, whispering:

Suddenly, the ringtone of Li Chen’s phone resounded.

Li Chen took out the phone and saw it was a call from Yang Xin.

"Hello?"

No one spoke!

"Hello?" Li Chen frowned and asked again.

"Bang!"

A thud came from inside the phone, but still, no one spoke.

Just as Li Chen was about to say something, the phone was abruptly hung up, only a frantic beeping followed!
