My gorgeous wife
Chapter 484 - 457: Trap!

Chapter 484: Chapter 457: Trap!

"No harm, one visit will tell."

Now Li Chen was truly desperate for the Void Flower, as it could save Wang Qianqian’s life. Therefore, wherever the Void Flower was, he was determined to take it.

"Master, should we follow?"

Seeing Li Chen leave in such a manner, a member of The Dark Division asked.

"You don’t need to expose yourselves; I can go alone."

Li Chen said indifferently; after all, a manor couldn’t stop him, Li Chen.

...

Greps Manor.

This manor, located on the outskirts of London, was quickly found by Li Chen once he had a clue.

Arriving at the entrance of the manor, Li Chen, out of politeness, still rang the doorbell. Yet, after a minute had passed, there was still no one opening the door.

Li Chen frowned and effortlessly leaped over, entering the manor.

Surveying the interior of the manor, Li Chen couldn’t help but frown; the place was desolate, as if no one was there.

Li Chen took a look at the items in the manor; there was a barbecue grill that still seemed warm.

Besides that, on the tables and chairs laid out, there were some items, and Li Chen even found a mobile phone on one of the chairs.

Li Chen’s heart chilled, and instantly his entire being tensed up. The manor remained eerily quiet, devoid of any movement, but in Li Chen’s eyes, the scene had changed completely.

From what he had just seen, there was no doubt that someone had been in the manor; the residual heat from the grill indicated that someone was here within the past hour. But now that he was here, they had vanished. Could it be haunted?

Li Chen’s mind raced, formulating reasons in an instant, and his eyes narrowed slightly.

A trap!

Immediately, Li Chen deduced the situation in the manor and had a suspicion: behind his journey in Europe, someone was probably monitoring him, ready to strike at any moment!

Otherwise, he couldn’t explain why the Void Flower was taken by others just a quarter hour before he went to the exhibit hall.

And now, in the same way, after finding out that the previous owner of the Void Flower had come looking, they all disappeared.

This wasn’t plotting against him, then what was it?

Li Chen glanced over the state of the manor and snorted coldly, "Are you sure you want to keep hiding?"

Li Chen’s voice echoed, but there was still no movement inside the manor.

"If you don’t come out now, I will invite you out myself!"

Li Chen said coldly, then slapped his hand forward, directing True Qi toward the bushes. In an instant, a figure flew out from the underbrush.

Immediately after, several more people jumped out from the sides; they were Caucasians, though their skills were quite good.

Li Chen looked at these emerging people with a cold expression.

"Did you take these people away?"

Li Chen asked indifferently.

"This is none of your business," the Caucasians snorted coldly. "We didn’t want to kill you, but you just don’t know what’s good for you, so you can’t blame us now."

No sooner had the voice faded than one Caucasian charged straight at Li Chen.

"Overestimating yourself."

Li Chen’s expression unchanged, he slowly raised his fist and swung it at his opponent as they charged at him.

"Pfft"

Then, the other Caucasians saw their comrade fly backward like a cut kite, spitting blood, and crashing to the ground.

"Jerry!"

The Caucasians were shocked, and one went to check only to find that Jerry had died instantly under Li Chen’s punch.

"He killed Jerry! Kill him!"

The man yelled, and the other few Caucasians charged at Li Chen.

Li Chen’s expression remained unchanged, and he stepped forward with fists ready. As one Caucasian approached, Li Chen punched.

"Bang"

The man likewise flew backward, and then Li Chen began to wreak havoc, throwing rapid punches. The approaching Caucasians flew back one after another.

The remaining few Caucasians were stunned. They hadn’t even made a move yet and saw their own men beaten like dogs, lying motionless on the ground.

Or more accurately, like dead dogs, for none of them survived the blows from Li Chen’s fists.

One punch, one man!

Li Chen stood in place while those Caucasians seemed petrified, not daring to come closer. But just then, Li Chen turned and punched, hitting another one trying to sneak attack. He spat out a mouthful of blood and died on the spot.

"You might as well tell me who is commanding you from behind; dying might be less painful," Li Chen said coldly.

The Caucasians looked horrified, glancing at each other and, without a word, turned and ran.

After all, there were still several Caucasians on-site. If they split up, Li Chen wouldn’t be able to capture them all.

Li Chen chuckled and swiftly pursued the three, catching up quickly. With a single palm strike, all three were knocked to the ground.

He kept these three alive, albeit injured, so they couldn’t run any further.

Meanwhile, Li Chen chased after the other two, intercepted them, injured them, and then flicked his fingers, shooting True Qi to the few who were left!

The terrifying True Qi pierced the legs of the two who were trying to escape, causing them to tumble to the ground.

After bringing the two back and tossing them on the ground, Li Chen demanded, "Speak up, who’s pulling your strings."

"You’re good, really terrifying," one Caucasian began, "but don’t dream about making us talk, you should know we are knights of..."

Before he could finish, Li Chen’s fingers flicked, and True Qi sliced through his throat.

"Too much talk."

Li Chen shook his head and then turned to the other Caucasian.

The man clenched his teeth, "In your dreams! I’d rather die than tell you!"

Just after he spoke, his eyes bulged out as he began to convulse.

Li Chen’s brow furrowed as he glanced at the other party’s mouth and saw a trace of black liquid.

Poison!

A shock went through Li Chen’s heart. He hurriedly checked the other Caucasians, only to find that they too had bitten into the poison in their mouths. In an instant, the few who were still alive turned into corpses.

Li Chen’s face became extremely unsightly in an instant!

Without a doubt, these men had come prepared!

Who exactly is it that wants to plot against me from behind the scenes?

Li Chen’s mind raced, but to no avail.

Taking a deep breath, Li Chen took out his phone and dialed The Dark Division’s number.

"This is the real King of the Netherworld."

Li Chen spoke indifferently, "You guys go and check for me. My departure didn’t go smoothly, someone’s scheming against me from behind the scenes."

After hanging up the phone, Li Chen scanned the corpses on the ground, his face full of cold indifference.

Then, he checked the manor once more and discovered that there were no other items left behind or clues within the manor.

Shaking his head, Li Chen left the manor.

I’ve just arrived in Europe. By rights, no one should know my purpose here, but surprisingly, the person behind the scenes seems to know exactly what I’m here for.

Li Chen frowned, the enemy was hidden and he was exposed. Moreover, he had a suspicion that his Dark Division members might have been monitored as well.

However, he immediately dismissed this thought. When he had arrived earlier, the scene in the manor clearly indicated that someone had just been there, which meant the information from The Dark Division was still reliable, and he had guessed correctly that he was under surveillance.

Analyzing the situation in his mind, Li Chen unknowingly arrived at the hotel entrance.

"Let go!"

A familiar voice came from ahead. Li Chen looked up and saw Ding Xiaoke and Adam.

At the moment, Adam was grabbing Ding Xiaoke’s clothes, obviously entangling her.

The surrounding people were watching but no one stepped forward to help.

"Xiaoke, just come away with me. I like you so much, can’t you just give me a chance?" Adam was saying, but the force in his hands did not lessen at all as if determined to drag her away forcibly.

"You! Let me go, no matter what, I will not leave with you," Ding Xiaoke said loudly.

"Why must you resist, Xiaoke? It’s just that we had a quarrel and that’s why we are like this. I am apologizing to you now, can’t we just make up and be good?" Adam spoke, yet a cold light flickered in his eyes.

Slut! I must have you!

The bystanders, upon hearing this, dropped the thought of helping, thinking it was better not to interfere in lovers’ quarrels. However, they did not leave and kept watching from the side.

"Let go of me, let go!" Ding Xiaoke was both anxious and angry, finding Adam insufferably brazen.

"I won’t let go. Xiaoke, you’re my girlfriend, I won’t let you leave," Adam said shamelessly.

But at that moment, a faint voice came through.

"Let go!"

Hearing this voice, both Adam and Ding Xiaoke were stunned.

Ding Xiaoke turned her head and immediately showed a look of surprise.

"Brother Li Chen!"

Adam, turning his head, showed a look of confusion.

"How, how is it you?" he stammered, his words failing him as he involuntarily released Ding Xiaoke upon seeing Li Chen approach.

Li Chen walked over, and Ding Xiaoke quickly hid behind him, while he looked indifferently at Adam.

Adam’s face was still swollen, looking quite strange. Facing Li Chen, he seemed completely dumbfounded.

When Li Chen stood before him, silently watching, it seemed Adam finally snapped back to reality.

"I, I didn’t mean to," Adam said cowardly, his heart filled with nervousness. He knew the man before him was formidable; those three slaps from yesterday were still deeply etched in his mind.

Li Chen still didn’t speak.

The bystanders were also puzzled, wondering why the boyfriend seemed so weak.

Frightened by Li Chen’s silence, Adam made a shocking decision.

"Slap!"

He struck himself across the face.

"Slap!"

"Slap!"

The crisp sound carried as he continued to slap himself several times before stopping, looking fearfully at Li Chen.

The crowd was completely dumbfounded. Could this man kill with a look?

Otherwise, why would Adam be so afraid of him?

Could this be the legendary "giving a look that conveys all?"

Adam, sensing the pressure around him ease, immediately thanked Li Chen and then fled clumsily towards the distance.

"I really appreciate it, Brother Li Chen," said Ding Xiaoke gratefully.

"No need to thank me," said Li Chen, then he returned to the hotel.

To him, this was no more than a small effort.

Back in his room, Li Chen opened a video chat and, seeing Wang Qianqian appear on the screen, felt an immense heaviness in his heart.

Wang Qianqian looked even paler, her face as white as paper, horrifying to behold, and now, just a few short days later, Qianqian could only lie in the hospital bed, seemingly unable to move at all.

She had lost the ability to move.

This made Li Chen’s heart ache even more.

"Brother Cheen, it’s alright," Wang Qianqian faintly smiled, consoling Li Chen instead.
