"Being a cop is so exhausting, why keep doing it." Li Chen laughed, then whispered, "Officer Yu, how about you be my wife?"

"What did you say?" Yu Yueying glared, her capable aura on full display, but it didn’t scare Li Chen.

"I said be my wife. Why the big fuss, really." Li Chen patted his chest, "You’re trying to scare your future husband to death."

"Who, who’s your wife?" Yu Yueying’s face flushed as she spoke those words, obviously feeling awkward.

"It’s you, of course. I’ve saved you so many times, do you think you can still get away from me?" Li Chen grinned, "Gratitude should be repaid; you have to pay back favors owed."

"I don’t owe you anything."
