With a hint of grievance, Li Chen said, "I brought your sister back; don’t I deserve a hug?"

"Hmph, why should I hug you?" Lin Xiaoxiao turned her head away, her character reverting to its original cunning and vivaciousness, "Are you trying to take advantage of me?"

Li Chen was frustrated, hey, when did Lin Xiaoxiao get so smart? It was just a hug, why be so stingy?

"Don’t talk nonsense, I already have a beautiful wife, why would I take advantage of you?" Li Chen stated with confidence, and Lin Xiaoxiao looked at his smug expression but laughed and grabbed Lin Yi’s arm, coquettishly swaying and saying,

Li Chen couldn’t help but laugh, "Xiaoxiao, just wash the vegetables first."

The three of them started cooking, but Li Chen was still in charge, otherwise it was questionable whether tonight’s meal would be edible.

Even so, Li Chen was somewhat flustered: "Ah, Xiaoxiao, you put too much oil in there."

"Xiaoxiao, don’t put too much salt."

This time, it truly was a close call with death. Jumping off that cliff, she had thought she was parting from Li Chen and Xiaoxiao forever. If Li Chen had arrived a second later yesterday, she might have chosen to end her life.

The three clinked glasses and drank. As Lin Xiaoxiao savored the wine, she remembered the time in the cave and murmured, "It feels so good to be alive."

Lin Xiaoxiao looked towards Lin Yi, "Sis, ignore him. Tell me what happened to you."

Lin Yi nodded and began recounting her experience of being brought back to Yanjing and what happened when Li Chen came to take her back.

As Lin Xiaoxiao listened to Li Chen’s exploits, her eyes lit up, but seeing Li Chen’s ravenous and seemingly indifferent demeanor, she was again lost for words.

After hearing Lin Yi’s account, Lin Xiaoxiao said, "Sis, I think we need to toast once more, to us being able to stay together from now on."

"Cheers!" Li Chen swallowed his food and lifted his glass.
