My gorgeous wife
Chapter 189 - 167: The Missing Yang Xin

Chapter 189: Chapter 167: The Missing Yang Xin

Upon entering the lab, Li Chen, as usual, chatted with a few perfumers and boasted, then told them some things about perfumery.

Time flew by and it wasn’t long before it was time for Li Chen to clock out. His heart throbbed with excitement, as the beautiful moment was about to arrive. What should he play with his beautiful wife today?

Bondage?

No, he estimated that his beautiful wife might not yet accept that.

Master-servant role-play?

Last time Lin Yi’s maid outfit had really made Li Chen’s heart race, and Lin Yi had humbled herself to play along, which gave Li Chen an incredible thrill. However, since they had played it last time, Li Chen thought for a while, chuckled with a ’heh heh’, and decided, this time they would play nurse and patient.

But it seemed they didn’t have the costumes. He would have to go to a specialty shop to buy some cosplay outfits later, and besides, his beautiful wife’s lingerie was too conservative; it was time for a change.

As Li Chen was thinking about tonight’s life, his phone rang. Taking it out, he realized it was an unfamiliar number.

Feeling curious, Li Chen pressed the answer button.

"Hello, is this Li Chen?"

The familiar voice came through, and Li Chen thought for a moment, immediately identifying it as Yang Xin’s mother, Ning Wan.

"It’s me, Aunt Ning," Li Chen said, hoping Ning Wan wasn’t asking him over for dinner.

"Li Chen, is Xinxin with you?" Ning Wan’s words were laced with urgency.

"No, Xinxin hasn’t looked for me recently." Li Chen had a bad feeling.

"Ah, she’s not there? What should I do, Xinxin, where have you gone?" At this moment, Ning Wan was like an ant on a hot pan.

"Auntie, what happened?" Li Chen asked.

"Xinxin is missing."

Startled, Li Chen wondered how a grown person could just disappear, and it wasn’t like Yang Xin was at the age to be rebelliously running away from home, and her temperament wasn’t the type to do such a thing.

"Auntie, hold on, I’m coming over," Li Chen said and then hung up the phone and headed straight to Ning Wan’s house.

It wasn’t long before Li Chen appeared at Ning Wan’s home.

"Auntie, what happened?" Li Chen asked with a frown, getting straight to the point.

Ning Wan was anxious. "Yesterday, Xinxin said she was going to tutor a female student and I didn’t think much of it. But today, she was supposed to come home for dinner and she hasn’t returned. I called her and her phone has been switched off. I felt something was wrong and called her school. The school said Xinxin hadn’t been there, so I called her landlord, and the landlord also said Xinxin wasn’t in her room. I thought she might be at your place, so I called you."

"Auntie, don’t worry, I’ll bring Xinxin back," Li Chen stood up, "You call the police, and I’ll go look around."

"Ah, thank you, thank you," Ning Wan said, grasping at straws and nodding her head hurriedly.

"Auntie, do you know which student’s house Xinxin went to?" Li Chen asked.

"Let me think, she said she was going to Li Yun’s house."

"Do you have the address?" Li Chen inquired.

Ning Wan stood up, "I’ll go find it."

Afterward, Ning Wan went into Yang Xin’s room. It wasn’t long before she came out, face bright with relief, "Found it."

Ning Wan handed Li Chen a letter with an address on it. He memorized the address, "Auntie, I’ll go there and you can wait here for news."

After speaking, Li Chen left without further ado and headed straight to the address.

Everything had to be approached systematically, and right now, this female student was the only lead.

Before long, Li Chen arrived at the residence on the address, which was in a small complex in West City District.

He knocked on the door and a voice from inside said, "Just a moment."

Then the person opened the door and standing before Li Chen was a girl with bandages on her feet, apparently injured.

The girl, upon seeing Li Chen, couldn’t help but be taken aback, "Who are you?"

"Are you Li Yun?" Li Chen asked.

The girl nodded her head.

"I have a few questions for you. Did Teacher Yang Xin come to tutor you last night?" Li Chen stared intently into Li Yun’s eyes.

"She did," Li Yun nodded, "I injured my leg and couldn’t go to class, so Teacher Yang Xin came to give me a lesson."

"How long did she tutor you last night?"

"From seven in the evening until ten at night, and then Teacher Yang left."

Listening to Li Yun’s words, Li Chen frowned.

"Are you sure Teacher Yang Xin left?"

"Yes," Li Yun nodded, "I saw Teacher Yang out the door, then she went home and hasn’t come back." Li Yun looked at Li Chen with concern, "Did something happen to Teacher Yang?"

"It’s nothing. Just study hard," Li Chen replied.

After leaving Li Yun’s house, Li Chen’s brows were tightly knit, convinced that the girl wasn’t lying; it was clear that Yang Xin had disappeared after leaving Li Yun’s place.

That made things difficult; Li Chen didn’t know where to start.

While pondering, an excited voice suddenly erupted, "Li Chen!"

Li Chen turned around to see, it was Yu Yueying.

"What a coincidence?" Li Chen said with a slight smile.
