My Fortune-Blessed Leading Lady
Chapter 414: New Parents

Chapter 414: Chapter 414: New Parents

The Bo Family had many sons, and with them, abundant joy. Yuran stayed in the large courtyard with Bo Yan for three days, and during those three days, just watching the brothers stand in a row was highly amusing.

Bo Yan always took the opportunity to walk in front of his uncles with Zhizhi in his arms, saying as they moved along, "Zhizhi, whatever you do, don’t learn from these uncles, okay?

They’re so unaccomplished."

The brothers were left staring in disbelief.

Especially Bo Qin, who, at thirty-five, was still made to stand in the corner like a child. If word got out, he wouldn’t be able to show his face.

And then there’s Xiaoqi, shamelessly.

Zhizhi slept all day; he didn’t know a damn thing.

Making fun of oneself was one thing, but using one’s son as an excuse to mock them was also genuine.

Shameless.

...

Yuran was on fire.

When Qi Younian said this over the phone, he sounded somewhat emotional, "I once thought you would spend more time paving your path.

But your achievements always take me by surprise.

Now, your popularity continues to soar, and you’ve even cultivated a fanbase for the CP with Bo, the great film emperor, because of ’Glory’.

Your official Weibo has drawn many fans from Bo, the great film emperor, because of ’Glory’."

At the studio, we’ve received numerous work invitations, and you..."

While Yuran was listening to the call, her gaze remained fixed on the carpet with floral designs by the bedroom’s French windows.

Warm sunlight filtered in through the window, and Bo Yan lay on the carpet, with their little son nestled in his arms—a tiny bundle.

The scene was filled with love, and she couldn’t help but chuckle.

Qi Younian had no idea why she laughed, his train of thought interrupted, "Wait, what did I say that was funny? You’re actually laughing so heartily."

"What did you just say?"

Yuran was so engrossed in watching the father and son that she had drifted off and hadn’t heard him.

Qi Younian briefly reiterated, sounding a bit worried, "You and Bo, the great film emperor, married for love, and you’ve had Zhizhi;

do you even have the heart to work anymore?"

Yuran was taken aback, her eyes softening as she focused on the father and son by the French window, "To be honest, no."

Qi Younian wasn’t surprised at all, "I knew it would be like this."

Yuran, "In the future, let’s set a limit on my work. If I could do one film a year, that would be great. I probably won’t venture into TV dramas."

"If there’s a market for you on the big screen, you naturally don’t need to bother with the small one—unless the quality is exceptionally high; otherwise, wouldn’t it just tarnish your brand?"

"It’s not quite like that," Yuran smiled, "As for work invitations, I won’t be doing variety shows, nor any major interviews;

endorsements are limited to no more than three a year, and they must be high-value. If not, I’d rather pass."

Qi Younian’s brow twitched, "I’m not trying not to speak well of you, but won’t people say you’re acting like a diva if you’re this selective right after making it big?"

"You know I’m not."

Qi Younian couldn’t help but laugh, "I know that, but it’s useless. The audience won’t bother to understand you. With the media so full of information, they’ll only believe what they want."

"Well, there’s nothing I can do about that. I’ve done my best."

"You have the nerve to say you’ve ’done your best?’" Qi Younian said, half amused and half exasperated, "Nevertheless, I actually quite support your decision."

Ruanruan, who was lying on Bo Yan’s chest, must have been dreaming, as a plump little arm suddenly shot toward Bo Yan’s chin.

And then, she accidentally hit Bo Yan’s jaw.

Bo Yan startled for a moment and hurriedly checked on his son to make sure he hadn’t woken up. He glanced over at Yuran, who was still on the phone, and pursed his lips,

seemingly looking somewhat aggrieved.

Yuran couldn’t help but find the situation amusing. After speaking a few words to Qi Younian, she walked over to the father and son. Bo Yan stretched out his arm and pulled her to sit beside him, holding Zhizhi tightly in his embrace.

From being initially awkward to now being adept, Yuran could see the effort and intent he put into learning.

Mom Bo hadn’t insisted that they live in the old mansion but happily agreed when they decided to come back to stay in the Platinum Imperial Palace.

She only had one request: that she would often come to see Zhizhi, and when the two of them didn’t have time, Zhizhi should be sent to the old mansion.

Naturally, Yuran and Bo Yan had no objections.

They both knew very well how much Zhizhi was doted on in the Bo Family,

and they would naturally not decline the elders’ kindness.

Zhizhi’s little arms and legs were quite chubby and sectioned, white and plump, resembling freshly dug, cleaned lotus roots.

Just looking at him made one want to take a bite. The house was warm, and Zhizhi wasn’t swaddled in blankets but wore a thin shirt and pants with a diaper, and his chubby feet were covered in two cotton socks.

Children grow up so fast, from being such a tiny bundle to how he was now in just over a month.

Extraordinarily charming.

Yuran rested her head on Bo Yan’s shoulder and leaned in to kiss Zhizhi’s cheek.

"Brother Seven, I don’t want to go to work anymore. I want to stay with Zhizhi every day," she said.

Bo Yan looked tenderly at the mother and son, feeling incredibly soft inside, "I also want to take a long break, a break that lasts until Zhizhi can call me daddy."

Yuran laughed, "Brother Xie Cheng would go crazy."

Thinking about how Xie Cheng might react to Bo Yan’s words, Yuran couldn’t help but want to laugh.

"Brother Seven, there’s something I’ve been wondering about for a long time," she said.

She reached out to play with Zhizhi’s little hand, and with a move, Zhizhi grabbed one of her fingers and held it tight.

Even though she had experienced it countless times, Yuran still found it novel and wondered what her son was thinking in his dreams when he did this.

Bo Yan, seeing her happy, imitated her. Zhizhi two chubby hands firmly clutched their parents’ fingers.

Only then did Bo Yan look up at Yuran, "Hmm? What is it?"

Yuran smiled, a smile that was somewhat profound, "Xie Cheng initially had a big problem with me, to be honest. After you liked me, did you ever give him a lesson?"

Bo Yan looked at her deep-smiling face and leaned in to kiss her lips, "With how protective I am, what do you think?"

No need to say it, it goes without saying.

Bo Yan continued, "I almost told him to get lost, though I wasn’t very serious. But I really had that thought. The moment I realized my feelings for you were different, I couldn’t tolerate anyone speaking ill of you."

Perhaps, it was precisely for this reason that he shamelessly closed in step by step, pushing Yuran until she liked him back.

Yuran wrapped her arms around his neck, her chin resting on his shoulder, and they were intimately close, "I was wondering, if I hadn’t met you as Yuran, but as Fu Yuran, would you still like me?"

Bo Yan was taken aback, then smiled, "I don’t like such assumptions. You are with me now, and we have Zhizhi. That’s the final outcome."

That was indeed true.

Yuran wasn’t hung up on such questions. After all, she was someone who disliked hassle. Zhizhi was sound asleep in Bo Yan’s arms, sometimes cracking a smile, sometimes opening his eyes,

but upon seeing the two of them, he’d drift back to sleep.

As new parents, they found everything fascinating and would spend much of their day by Zhizhi’s side, watching his random little movements and feeling utterly contented.

Yuran counted the days until she had to return to school, feeling a sense of melancholy in her heart.
