Chapter 303: Chapter 303: Either Being Teased or On the Way to Being Teased
This kiss was imbued with a trace of fierceness.
The address "Qi Ge" she was about to blurt out was thoroughly blocked by the man, not a single syllable could be uttered.
There was a mix of surprise and a tinge of scare.
She admitted that, after getting married, this was the longest they had been apart, but was there a need to be this intense?
In a little while, she might as well not meet anyone.
Her mind was hazy, and by the time she realized what was happening, she had been moved elsewhere.
Since the moment they parted, Bo Yan thought of her every second.
He hoped she missed him as much as he missed her, but he couldn’t demand that of her.
His feelings grew ever more intense, and he feared he might scare her off.
He was supposed to fly back last night, but the flight couldn’t take off due to heavy fog.
Early today, he couldn’t wait to return, hoping to surprise her, only to find that she had woken up early.
That was quite unexpected.
"Qi Ge, Qi Ge, let go of me first, I have something to tell you."
"What is it, hmm?"
They were very close, his breath fanning over her face.
Yuran stiffened her body, daring not to move an inch.
Bo Yan’s elegant features lifted into a soft laugh by her ear, "Didn’t you say you had something to tell me? Have you gone mute? Speak."
"...Then you, then you first let go of me, my hand."
His presence was so overwhelming that Yuran’s speech faltered, fearful he couldn’t control his actions.
Seeing her eyes flicker and her mouse-like timidity, Bo Yan laughed with pleasure, releasing her hand and burying his face in the nape of her neck, "We’ve been apart for so many days, did you miss me?"
After pondering for a moment, Yuran wrapped her arms around his waist and replied with a reciprocating smile, "I missed you, really missed you."
Upon hearing this, he raised his head to look at her, exhaling a laugh, "It’s one thing for your mouth to miss me, but how about proving it with some actions?"
Yuran didn’t dodge, struggling to express her extraordinary inner feelings toward his shameless demeanor, "Don’t change the subject."
"I want to get to the point, will you at least agree?"
Yuran: "..."
Asshole.
Shameless.
Bo Yan carefully examined the injury on the back of her hand, which was covered with a band-aid, hiding any actual view.
But he was stubborn.
Yuran’s eyes softened, touching his face, "I’m fine, it’s just a small wound."
"Small wound?" Bo Yan disapproved with a not-so-pleased expression, "I don’t think it’s just a small wound."
He kissed the spot where the band-aid was applied, "It must have hurt at the time!"
Yuran shook her head, "At that moment, I was too busy being angry to notice any pain."
Bo Yan looked at her with a speechless expression for her carefreeness, "You’re really big-hearted."
His fingers scratched in the palm of her hand.
Tickled by his teasing, Yuran tried to withdraw her hand that he was holding, laughing, "Qi Ge, you... let go of me first."
Bo Yan got up and sat beside her. Yuran thought he was finally going to have a proper talk but found herself lifted lightly by him and seated securely on his lap.
Yuran: "..."
Bo Yan raised an eyebrow at her, "Are you turning your nose up at me? You don’t like it when I hold you?"
"How could that be? Seventh Brother, didn’t you say your flight wasn’t arriving until this afternoon? How come you’re back so early? Shall we go out together and cook breakfast? You don’t understand, if it wasn’t for godmother fearing I might starve to death, you would really have had to come back to collect my corpse."
"Don’t talk nonsense."
"Oh!"
Bo Yan said, "I spoke with Director Lin on the phone, and he said you did well."
Yuran couldn’t believe it, "Director Lin actually complimenting someone? That’s incredible, you have no idea how miserably some people get scolded on set."
This person who was scolded miserably, needless to say, Bo Yan knew who she was referring to.
The two went downstairs, and Bo Yan stared at the exhaustion as he went to make breakfast, preparing to feed the certain someone sitting at the dining table scrolling through the official blog, who took her seat without any qualms, with a cup of warm milk in front of her, no less.
Bo Yan fried the eggs, then the ham, and just as the toast was done, he made two sandwiches and carried them out, sitting down beside the young girl. Out of the corner of his eye, he caught a glimpse of the message she was looking at and couldn’t help but chuckle.
"Her car accident has nothing to do with you."
He was worried she might blame herself; after all, she had cursed it, and then it happened, that was all.
Evildoers will eventually bring about their own destruction; it couldn’t be blamed on anyone else.
Tossing the phone aside, she took the breakfast handed to her, her eyes curving up in a smile, "Of course, it has nothing to do with me. Did you think I would take the blame for that?
I’m not foolish, and besides, I don’t have the power to harm her! My words were actually quite reserved.
If I were to be ruthless and say something beyond my control, then I might retreat into a brief self-reflection."
Well, that was a worry for nothing.
Savoring the sandwich in her hands, Yuran piled on the flattery, "Seventh Brother, your cooking skills have improved a lot after just a few days."
The man’s low chuckle seemed to emanate from his chest, his meaningful laughter sending a sensation of being overtaken washing over Yuran; his dark eyes were deep, like the ink-stained night sky, "Baby, you don’t need to praise me so much, I’d still make you breakfast."
For a moment, Yuran was at a loss for words. She really wasn’t trying to compliment him just because of breakfast, was she?
But it seemed like a misunderstanding.
After breakfast, she had to hurry to the set; Uncle Lin had already arrived at the doorstep. Bo Yan had hardly rested the previous night and planned to get a bit more sleep, intending to rush off to the set at one in the afternoon.
As he walked Yuran to the door, he looked at her, waiting for something. Yuran pretended not to see, though her face reddened slightly, "Then you go back and rest. I’ll order milk tea for everyone at noon, should I order one for you too?"
Bo Yan laughed out loud, unable to comprehend the shrewdness of the young girl who couldn’t avoid the inevitable but still kept making side comments!
"Fuyunfang’s desserts, have you promised the crew to treat them? Did you make the arrangements?"
Striking where it hurts, hitting the nail on the head, Yuran choked with embarrassment, her face turning red, "You... "
"All’s fair in love and war. Is such a small request from me excessive?"
"You said you’d wait until I was nineteen."
"Baby, I didn’t say I absolutely had to do something right now; I was simply looking at you, and you never even signaled."
Almost as if possessed, Yuran thought there might be some room for negotiation, "Shall we settle this when we return tonight?"
"Hmm!" Bo Yan drew out his response rather long, shaking his head, "I like to do things efficiently and quickly—for everyone’s sake, baby, could you deign to do so?"
Yuran always thought she had the upper hand when facing him; naive, she was truly naive.
In face of him, she was totally at a loss, in a state of constant retreat, okay?
Bo Yan wasn’t pressing too hard, merely observing her with an unfathomable gaze, amused by the colorful expressions on her face—it was a delightful sight for him.
Actually, at this moment, she could have thrown a tantrum and slammed the door in departure.
But...
His baby was just that innocent; how could he not take advantage of such an opportunity?
Of course, he couldn’t.
