Chapter 292: Chapter 292: Planted Early, and Not Wanting to Be Uprooted for a Lifetime

At first, Yuran also couldn’t bring herself to call out "godmother, godmother." Later, Bo’s mother told her, "Baby, since you and your Seventh Brother are married, naturally, you should call me mom."

It felt awkward at first, but the more she called her that, the smoother it got.

On the night she arrived at the capital, Yuran called the instructor to report her return from leave, then notified Director Lin and Director Tang separately.

When they were married overseas, Xuan Ze mentioned some scenes needed reshooting and that she should do it as soon as possible if she had the time.

Due to the filming progress of "Glory," though the project had dragged on for quite a while, it didn’t prevent her from giving her early efforts the utmost refinement.

As for "Emperor Shun of Tang," which was still shooting, she needed to squeeze in time for her own scenes, especially since she had taken off a week and fallen behind considerably.

Bo Yan was packing in the room when he saw her standing in front of the floor-to-ceiling window on the phone. His eyes softened, and he wasn’t sure what she had said to Director Lin, but suddenly she laughed and said, "Thank you, Director Lin."

After hanging up the phone, she came over to pack their luggage with him. There wasn’t much, but because someone was distracted, the packing was going rather slowly. Bo Yan, watching her squatting beside him, said, "The Platinum Imperial Palace was originally decorated to my liking. If you’re not happy with it, we can redecorate."

"Why are you suddenly mentioning this?" She didn’t actually find anything wrong with the current decor. The style was minimalist, which she also liked, and as for the color scheme, she felt a few decorative items would liven it up, no need for the hassle of a complete redecoration.

"Baby, although I think, with you, anywhere is home, I’m afraid that you won’t feel like this is your home."

"Not at all. I think the same as you do—wherever you are is home for me."

Bo Yan smiled and leaned in to kiss her forehead. "The day after tomorrow, I have to go to Haicheng to shoot the OL ring advertisement. It will take two days, so I’ll only be able to return on Friday."

Having just gotten married and now having to part, both Bo Yan and Yuran felt reluctant to leave each other. Yuran’s packing halted, and her expression turned blank. Bo Yan couldn’t help but chuckle, "Can’t bear to part with me?"

Although Yuran was a bit embarrassed and felt she might be overly clingy, she still nodded earnestly, "Yes, but I support you."

After all, given the unique nature of their work, it wasn’t possible to be together all the time.

Bo Yan whispered in her ear, biting her earlobe, which made Yuran blush and reach out to hit him. Yet, he wrapped his arms around her, "I really want to tether you to me, to take you wherever I go."

"You’re shameless, don’t bite my ear."

"Why not?"

"Just because, you can’t bite, it tickles me."

"Ticklish? Doesn’t that mean I should bite a few more times?" Bo Yan pushed his luck, prompting Yuran to pinch the soft flesh at his waist. "Why do you act like such a scoundrel after we got married?"

"I’m a legitimate scoundrel."

Yuran: "..."

...

The day Bo Yan left, she didn’t go to see him off, not even knowing when he had left. When she woke up, she saw sticky notes from Bo Yan all over the place—from the bedside cabinet, through the bathroom, extending to the kitchen, in every corner of the house she could possibly see.

[Baby, I haven’t even left and I’m already missing you. What should I do?]

[Baby, remember you told me last night that you used to be my fan? I’m thinking about the unspoken rules for fans, you... would you consider it?]

[I said good morning to you in your ear, but got no response. If my Mrs. Bo sees this pitiful little note, please say good morning to me.]

[Mrs. Bo, eat well and remember to miss me.]

[Although we can contact each other by phone, I keep thinking that plastering you with love notes everywhere you look is the only way to express that you’re my one and only.]

[...]

True to Bo Yan’s possessiveness, the house was filled with sticky notes, all of them dripping with cheesy yet heartwarming words. She didn’t know when he had gotten up to busy himself with this; they truly were everywhere in the house.

Bo’s love notes.

Yuran held the warm breakfast in her hands and had just taken a seat at the dining table when she saw another note, which read, "Mrs. Bo, thank you for holding on until I met you."

Yuran froze; those words would have been more appropriate coming from her to him, as she’d lived a mess of a life before meeting Bo Yan, mistaking kindness for love, and being used until death.

After meeting Bo Yan, Bo Yan had taught her so much more.

It also made her understand clearly what you’re like when you love someone, and what the person you love is like.

Sipping on the porridge Bo Yan had made, she intended to send him a message, but looking at the time and recalling the take-off time he mentioned last night, she decided to send the message later.

Being married was like dreaming; something between them seemed different but also not different at all.

When class was nearly over in the morning, Yuran looked at the time and sent Bo Yan a message.

[Big Brother Qi, I’ve read all the notes at home, and now, if you’ve landed, would you chat with me?]

[What about?] The message was sent out and within seconds, Bo Yan replied to her.

[I want to tell you some cheesy love lines.]

[??]

[So, will you play along with my cheesy love lines?]

[Bo Yan: Okay [laugh][doting][laugh]]

[Yuran: Big Brother Qi, I have a superpower.]

[What?]

[Yuran: I super like you.]

Bo Yan, who had just disembarked from the plane, Xie Cheng pushing his luggage beside him, was seen holding his phone nonstop, fingers tapping away rapidly—even without asking, it was clear who he was contacting.

Who else could it be but Yuran?

However, as they chatted, Bo Yan suddenly stopped moving. Though he was perfectly disguised, the chances of being recognized by fans in the bustling Haicheng Airport were still high.

He turned to urge the great actor Bo Yan to hurry, but his eyes inadvertently caught the cheesy love lines on the actor’s screen, and he was speechless. Could such casual, cheesy love lines really make him so happy?

Don’t ask how he knew the great actor Bo Yan was delighted; somehow, he just knew. He was happy, and despite the insincere cheesy love lines, surprisingly, Bo Yan was eating it up.

Sheesh, was he that easy to please?

[Yuran: Big Brother Qi, do you like Mrs. Bo’s cheesy love lines?]

[Bo Yan: Say it again.]

[Yuran: ...You want to hear more?]

[Bo Yan: No matter how much of your confession is true or not, I’ll take it as true. I like hearing it.]

[Yuran: ...Okay then, Big Brother Qi, I have a handful of dirt.]

[Bo Yan: Dirt? What for?]

[Yuran: Do you want to fall into my hand? [laugh][laugh][laugh]]

Through the chat interface, Bo Yan could almost imagine the triumphant smile on the young girl’s face at the other end of the screen. Underneath his mask, his lips curved into an attractive arc, and the amusement in his eyes was about to spill over.

He followed Xie Cheng at a leisurely pace, replying to Yuran [Bo Yan: I’ve already fallen, and I don’t ever want to be pulled out.]
