Chapter 61: Chapter 61 Tolerating

"Oops! I forgot," Pillu said with a loud, mocking laugh. "You don’t know how to use it." Without waiting, he snatched the remote from Karl’s hands and changed the channel himself, his chuckles filling the room.

Karl’s face stiffened. His fingers twitched in irritation, and at that moment, he officially decided that he hated Pillu.

Soon, a cool sound effect echoed through the room: "Whoosh... ding... da-da-dum!" The name of the Soulstream company appeared on the screen in glowing letters, followed by a soft chime. The TV fully turned on, displaying a vibrant introduction screen.

Karl reluctantly passed the remote to Pillu, who snatched it with an air of entitlement. Without hesitation, Pillu began flipping through the channels as if he owned the moment.

Milo, however, was too mesmerized to care. His eyes lit up, and his excitement was written all over his face. The faint sound effects from the TV only heightened his anticipation.

"At this time, Seven Deadly Sins of human is broadcasting. Let’s watch that," Pillu said smugly, as if he were the authority on the matter.

Angeline’s husbands exchanged subtle glances, their expressions showing shared annoyance. They didn’t like Pillu’s attitude either, but their desire to watch the Soulstream kept them quiet.

Julian sat on the mat, trying to focus on the screen, while Karl’s fingers curled slightly, his irritation growing. Adrian, on the other hand, stared at Pillu, already planning how to avoid him in the future.

Pilu had a way of making everyone feel like they were beneath him, and it was starting to grate on their nerves. But since Soulstream was on and they didn’t want to miss it, they stayed quiet, biting their tongues for now.

Only Milo remained purely happy, his excitement making him oblivious to the tension.

The Seven Deadly Sins of Humans turned out to be a popular love triangle daily soap. It revolved around Jin, the only human in a world dominated by ghosts and witches. Jin had fallen deeply in love with a witch named Ashley, but Ashley herself loved someone else—her ghost husband, Milan. Yet, despite her feelings, she ended up marrying Jin too.

The plot thickened as Jin, with his cunning and vicious personality, attempted to drive a wedge between Ashley and Milan. His manipulative schemes and sharp wit kept viewers on edge. Surprisingly, many fans adored him, not only for his cleverness but also for his attitude and breathtaking beauty.

Milan, on the other hand, was Ashley’s first husband, a weak and Sweet ghost who always tried to keep the family together despite Jin’s constant meddling.

The show had become a sensation, capturing the hearts of viewers with its dramatic twists and emotional depth.

The show began with a dramatic scene, featuring a breathtakingly handsome ghost with long black hair cascading down his shoulders and striking purple eyes glistening with tears. His voice trembled as he sobbed, "Why doesn’t she believe me...?"

Half the episode passed with him crying over his sorrows, and just when his despair reached its peak, someone offered him a tissue. Slowly raising his head, he was met with a sharp, mocking smile.

"This won’t be the last time," the man with golden-blonde hair declared smugly, his tone dripping with malice. "There will be plenty more times you’ll cry like this."

Everyone in the room was completely engrossed in the drama. Though Karl, Julian, Adrian, and Milo didn’t understand the full story, the moving pictures, emotional dialogue, and gergeous characters were captivating. For them, the experience of watching the Soulstream was entirely new, and it left them amazed.

The room was silent except for the sound of the show. Pillu sat on his single sofa with an arrogant expression plastered across his face, his lips curved into a self-satisfied smirk. I have everything they don’t... he thought smugly, relishing their awe.

After an hour, the episode finally ended. Pilu leaned back with a smug expression and said, "I hope you all enjoyed it. You can come over to my house to watch daily if you want... I don’t mind," he added with a smirk, his tone dripping with arrogance.

They nodded politely and waved Pillu goodbye, stepping out of his house with restrained smiles. As they walked a little distance.

The sky was a deep, eerie red, and the ground was dark, shrouded in a thick layer of fog that clung to their feet.

"I don’t like him," Karl said sharply, his anger evident in his tone.

"We don’t either," Angeline’s sixth husband chimed in, rolling his eyes."But for Soulstream, we have no choice but to tolerate him. That arrogant ghost loves making us feel small. Trust me, every time we watch Soulstream, we’re swallowing our pride just to enjoy it."

"Let’s not waste time talking about him," Kenji said firmly, and everyone nodded in agreement, eager to move on from Pillu’s condescending demeanor.

Suddenly, Milo burst into uncontrollable laughter, catching everyone off guard. The others stopped and turned to look at him, confused. He sheepishly grinned and blurted out, "Brother Karl was just like Milan from the show! Always crying a lot!"

The group froze for a second before laughter erupted among them. Karl’s face turned red with indignation as he glared at Milo. "Little Milo, you dare make fun of me! Do you even realize how precious my tears are?"

Milo giggled even more, holding his stomach, while the others continued to laugh. Embarrassed and fuming, Karl stomped his foot like a child and shouted, "You’re all horrible!" before turning on his heel and running ahead, leaving everyone chuckling behind him.

"Don’t be angry," Milo called out as he ran after Karl, his steps quickening to catch up. Reaching Karl, he gently held his arm, but Karl stubbornly turned his face away, still sulking.

Milo tugged on Karl’s sleeve softly and said, "Don’t be angry. I know your tears are precious—each time you cry, it makes my heart hurt..." His voice was innocent and sweet, his wide eyes looking at Karl with genuine concern.

Karl’s anger melted in an instant. His lips twitched as he tried to hold back a smile, but Milo’s adorable expression was too much. Without a second thought, Karl wrapped his arms around Milo’s neck tightly, squeezing him with all his might.

"Little Milo, tonight you’re going to die from my hug!" Karl declared dramatically, hugging him so tightly Milo gasped for air.

"Brother Karl, mercy! I’m too young to die!" Milo said, laughing and wriggling in Karl’s hold, making the others laugh even harder as they watched them.
