My Favorite Game Followed Me! -
Chapter 423
Anton examined the second magic item from the first chest that the blue whales and pink dolphins had given him. It was a tiara, not a simple one, but an elaborate lace-like tiara that only women could wear. That meant that even if the options of the tiara were phenomenal, Anton might not be able to wear the accessory.
When he stored the tiara in his inventory, his Diablo II system identified it as Dremonda’s Tiara of Protection. Its options were still for low-level wizards, in Anton’s opinion. Its options were the following: Durability fifteen over fifteen, just like the first magic item, its required level was wizard level one, a little higher than the Bracelet of Anonra, it would also provide the user a base defense of twelve to fifteen, the item would also provide an enhance defense of ten percent and an additional twenty defense. The item would also provide an all resistance of plus five to eight to the user, and lastly, it also had a skill called Magic Shield, and the option stated that upon use, the magic shield would remain for twenty minutes or until it was destroyed by an attack. It had five charges, but the item could also be recharged by casting spells on it or using his mana power bank.
Anton did not know why these items from the chest that the whales gave him were able to be recharged by his mana power bank and not the regular enchanted items from shops. He thought that there was a chance that when his Diablo II system identified the items, it modified them a bit so they could be recharged by his mana power banks. If that was the case, why did the other magic items that he received or bought not receive a similar advantage? He truly had no idea, and it appeared that his Diablo II system would not answer his questions. He was not even sure that his theory about his system modifying the items was correct. The only thing he could do was accept them as they were the moment he identified them.
The third item that Anton identified was a sturdy looking amulet, and the only thing that he could think of was it was made for a man. The amulet had a masculine look that would not appeal to women. His Diablo II system simply identified as the Fire Amulet. Its options were the following: it also had fifteen over fifteen durability, it would provide the wearer a base defense of five to ten, and one of the most important things was it did not have any required level, and that meant that anyone could wear it. The system also stated that the Fire Amulet would give a plus three Light Radius, and Anton was excited to see what it would look like. The amulet would also add one to two fire attack and a plus ten percent fire resistance. To be honest, he didn’t know what those numbers represented. He didn’t even know what the number represented in his skill table and the only thing he knew was to use his spells until his enemies were dead.
The fourth item was a pair of gem-encrusted gloves that could only be worn by women since it was very delicate looking. Anton’s Diablo II system identified it as Princess Moran’s gloves. Its options were still low-level. It had a durability of fifteen, just like the first three items. It also did not have any required level, so anyone could wear it, but it would provide the user a base defense of five to ten. It would also add a plus three to Light Radius and it had a skill which was a level one Flash which would blind everyone for several seconds upon use except the wearer. Anton wondered if it would cause friendly fire, but the user could warn his or her companions when he or she would use it, so it was fine, he guessed. It had ten charges and could also be recharged using his mana power bank.
The last item was larger than all the rest. It was a scepter, and it was also gem encrusted, and because of that, it looked like a decorative piece instead of an actual weapon. Anton’s system identified it as the Scepter of Heal. It was simple, and it didn’t have any required level and had only two options aside from its durability, which was the same as the first four, which was fifteen. Its options were plus three to light radius and a skill was level one Heal, and it had ten charges.
The items were not the best but the fact that they were made out of gold and were all gem encrusted meant that Anton could not deny that they were probably very valuable.
Anton spent the rest of the afternoon practicing his Diablo II spells, leveling up his Amazon character, and singing and recording a cover songs that he would add to his collection. His Amazon leveled up to level twenty-two and was satisfied with that.
After dinner that night, Anton gave the first chest to his father.
“I thought you’re going to put enchantments on them?”
“Just keep it, Father. I still have a lot of items that I haven’t enchanted yet, and I’m in the middle of studying new enchantments. I will not have the item for now to enchant them, so you can just keep them and treat them as our emergency treasure.”
“Are we going to examine the contents of your second chest?” Anton’s father asked, and he nodded.
“Before that, though, I’ll tell you what the magic items that came from the chests were.”
Anton then gave a description of each of the items, but he, of course, did not give the numbers the options stated and just kept it vague except for the skill charges, like this item would add fire attack to each of your hit or this item would provide an additional physical and magical defense.
“Don’t you want to use any of it?” Antonia asked Anton while examining the magic items.
“No. They all look girly except for the Fire Amulet, and that one is suited for a warrior, so I’m thinking of giving it to Lucas or Devon.”
“Just give it to Devon,” Lucas said and that made his son excited.
Devon excitedly wore the Fire Amulet, and everyone was amazed when the area surrounding him became a little bright.
“Oh. So that’s what the additional light radius will do,” Anton said.
“It will make you a target,” Lucas said while frowning.
“I’m guessing that you’re supposed to use it in exploring dark areas,” Nemina commented.
When Devon waved his sword around, they were amazed at the fire trail that the sword produced.
“So that’s what the added fire attack will do. Can you try to punch? Let’s check if it will add fire attack to your punches,” Anton asked Devon and the man began shadow boxing but they didn’t see any fire trails.
“More than likely, it will only add the fire attack to his weapons,” Frederick commented.
Devon thanked Anton, but the man removed the amulet, and the light surrounding him returned to normal.
“Wait! If I wear a gown filled with gems, will I glow like a goddess?” Anna exclaimed, but everyone just shrugged.
Anton’s sister then borrowed the amulet and ran to her room. When she came out, she was wearing a while gown, and they could see that her presence was magnified because of the additional light radius. Not only that, but all the pieces of jewelry that she was wearing were also glowing because of the light.
