My Ex-husband Asked Me to Remarry Him Every Day
Chapter 427 - 421: Graceful in the Hall, Skilled in the Kitchen

Chapter 427: Chapter 421: Graceful in the Hall, Skilled in the Kitchen

Sun Ping was quick to say, "We’ve eaten already, all of us have."

Shen Dang gave a slight nod and strode towards the kitchen with his long legs.

The man’s steady gait was rhythmic, exuding an aura of ruthless decisiveness.

Sun Ping finally understood why Teacher Qiao’s marriage announcement didn’t expose Boss Shen.

The man’s stunningly handsome features would make others feel inferior.

Some people exist in this world to be admired.

It was even more surprising to him that such an influential businessman would cook at home.

Rich people, especially the fabulously wealthy, shouldn’t they have hundreds of servants at their home?

If he hadn’t witnessed it with his own eyes, he wouldn’t have believed that Boss Shen would personally cook.

Damn, even he was starting to envy Qiao Xi!

That’s just ridiculous!

Fifteen minutes later, Shen Dang brought two bowls of steaming noodles to the table.

A golden-brown egg lay atop the soup, emitting a particularly delicious aroma.

Qiao Xi hadn’t eaten anything in the morning before Shen Dang had her doing exercises, and her stomach was growling with hunger.

Shen Dang handed her the chopsticks, and she began to eat right away.

Even though she was starving, she still behaved with grace.

Shen Dang was equally unhurried in his movements.

"The fridge is empty, I’ll have my secretary do some grocery shopping later and bring it over. I need to go to the office later, do you want to come with me?"

"No." Qiao Xi’s face was indifferent, "And you don’t need to trouble your secretary either. I’m going to meet up with Tutu later to do some shopping at the mall. Then I can cook when you come back from work."

She had already taken it for granted that he would cook for her.

But Shen Dang found it sweet.

Cooking for the one he loved was never a burden, only a sweet happiness.

Shen Dang liked it that way, he raised his hand and gently ruffled her hair, "Okay, I’ll cook, you just wait and eat."

His movements were gentle, and his tone carried an indescribable tenderness.

Qiao Xi smiled with a curved lip, "Feels like getting a boyfriend isn’t so bad after all."

Shen Dang corrected her, "You’re wrong, it’s not ’not so bad,’ it’s ’not bad at all.’ After all, I’m good in the hall and the kitchen."

Qiao Xi: "..."

Good at what?

What good?

What’s he talking about so early in the morning!

Qiao Xi buried her head into her noodles, ignoring him.

After they finished breakfast, the TV crew had also finished installing the cameras.

Qiao Xi roughly estimated that there were at least thirty cameras installed in the living room, kitchen, and dining area. The place was bristling with cameras; any little thing she did was sure to be caught on film.

However, Qiao Xi was already used to being in front of cameras, and she wasn’t bothered by it, although she worried that Shen Dang might not be as comfortable.

Qiao Xi just hoped he wouldn’t be too unrestrained in front of the cameras; otherwise, they might accidentally get banned.

Sun Ping turned to them and laughed, "Teacher Qiao, Boss Shen, we’ll be on our way then and come back tomorrow."

Shen Dang nodded his head, "Everyone has worked hard. I’ll have my assistant book a private dining room in the restaurant across the complex. Just report my name when Director Sun’s team arrives."

No wonder he was the boss—the breadth of his generosity was something others could scarcely match!

Turns out the big boss wasn’t as aloof as the rumors suggested.

"Thanks, Boss Shen. You’re too generous. What are you waiting for, thank Boss Shen!"

Sun Ping gestured to the others.

"Thank you, Boss Shen!"

The group said their thanks in unison.

Bei Bei asked Qiao Xi if there was anything she needed to be arranged for her.

Qiao Xi didn’t need her, so she let her leave with the TV crew.

The house quieted down soon after.

"I’m going to change clothes."

She was being pulled by him towards the bedroom.

Her eyes were questioning, "...Why do you need to drag me along to change clothes?"

"To help me pick out what to wear today."

Qiao Xi was pulled into the room, and as soon as the bedroom door closed, Shen Dang pressed her against the door frame and kissed her.

Qiao Xi had both hands caught by his in one hand, held high above her head.

Under his assertive advances, Qiao Xi gradually melted, nearly losing her breath by the end.

It was only when Qiao Xi stepped on his foot did he calm down.

Shen Dang slightly pulled away from her lips, his tone teasing, "After so many kisses, you’re still not used to it?"

Qiao Xi glared at him with her jewel-like pupils, "Aren’t you supposed to be going to your office?"

He said stickily, "I can’t bear to leave you, just one more kiss."

Qiao Xi didn’t let him get out of hand, wriggling out from under his arm, and warned him, "No more fooling around. If you smudge my makeup, how am I supposed to go out later?"

Her voice, however, was soft and gentle.

Qiao Xi was really afraid he would lose himself.

Shen Dang raised his hands in surrender, helplessly, "Okay, I won’t fool around anymore. Help me pick out my clothes, girlfriend."

Qiao Xi pulled open the wardrobe and took out a black pinstriped shirt for him.

Shen Dang took off the shirt he was wearing, his muscular chest and lean waist exposed before Qiao Xi.

The six-pack abs on his stomach were well-defined, radiating a masculine power and a wild temptation.

All the while, he undressed, his captivating peach blossom eyes fixed on her.

His gaze was deep and intense.

Qiao Xi finally understood the meaning of ’eyes that can drive.’

His eyes were particularly meaningful as he looked at her.

She couldn’t help but think about it.

Qiao Xi: "..."

You’re no good, you dog!

Qiao Xi threw the shirt at him and turned to leave the bedroom.

As she turned, Shen Dang caught her hand.

Qiao Xi’s heartbeat skipped erratically, and she looked back at him, "What now?"

"Xi Bao, you haven’t gotten me my pants yet."

So, what, he wanted to take his pants off in front of her now?

Qiao Xi was speechless, "All your suit pants are the same, just different colors, what’s there for me to pick?"

"It’s all about the color."

She found it completely natural.

Qiao Xi: "..."

You’re really something else.

Qiao Xi had no choice but to find a pair of suit pants for him.

"Is this good enough?"

Shen Dang’s eyes curved into a smile, "Thanks, wifey. You’re the best, wife."

"Who’s your wife."

Qiao Xi retorted and left with a blushed face.

When Shen Dang came out of the room with a jacket under his arm, seeing Qiao Xi looking at her phone on the couch, he walked over, "I’m off then."

Qiao Xi glanced up, dismissing his departure casually, "Go on, then."

Shen Dang raised an eyebrow, "Aren’t you going to see me off?"

Qiao Xi almost laughed, "Just a few steps and you still need a send-off?"

"I do."

Boss Shen was bold and assertive.

Qiao Xi laughed at his insistence, pushing him gently, "Just go, stop dawdling."

"One kiss before I go."

Seeing his relentless attitude, Qiao Xi had to tilt her face up and peck him on the cheek.

Shen Dang ruffled her hair, leaving satisfied.

Hearing the door close, Qiao Xi was about to call Su Tutu, but her phone rang first.

She answered, "Tutu."

"Sister, we need some groceries for cooking at our place for the next two days. Let’s go shopping at the mall together," Su Tutu added, "and don’t bring a man!"

Qiao Xi chuckled, "I won’t, he’s gone to the office. Where shall we meet?"
