My Dungeon Life: Rise of the Slave Harem -
Chapter 1692
I did it with my daughter a few more times. She was able to last a little longer after each go, and I was slowly able to do what I wanted with her, shaping her to my form and insuring no other man would touch her. Ahem… Cough… I mean I used the dungeon system to increase her defenses. It turned out she had quite a few mobs left in her toy chest. Although she had used a lot of her miasma reserves when she evolved into a sentient dungeon, she still had the stuff leftover from previous evolutions. fr.e ewe.bno.vel .com
I was able to summon up a good amount of defenses, using the lore from multiple dungeons to create a variety of different traps, ambushes, and such. The boss room was expanded, bringing back the miasmic lake. The room that had made up the final floor had become a cottage that happened to be sitting on the lake. I didn’t know if she had some kind of sixth sense about such a thing, but as soon as the lake returned, Selena seemed to show up, finding a new perch nearby.
Of course, I left Matty and the witch on level 5 to provide extra defense on their own, but I also made every level a challenge to bypass. I noticed that the more units I put out, the slower the mana counter increased. It seemed like when a unit was out versus in the toy box, it required a base amount of miasma. Miasma appeared to be what ultimately fed mobs and provided them energy. When they were in the toy box, it was like putting them in cold storage. The miasma it cost to make a mob was like stored energy, but there was no upkeep cost in the toy box. Perhaps that was why my daughter hadn’t brought any of them out right away. She could always drop enemies when she needed them and save the rest of the miasma points for later.
Even though I knew that I still didn’t want to take any risks. I made sure that her dungeon was airtight, even if her miasma only went up a few points a minute instead of per second. Eliza acted like a good girl and didn’t argue about any of my changes. Compared to other dungeons, the miasma absorption was still probably amazing for a dungeon this size. As for using the dungeon as a training ground for my troops? That use was expired.

Didn’t the soldiers have the entire wilderness that they could train in? There were still two dungeons out there and innumerable beasts and monsters. They could even resurrect normally after they died. Admittedly, it wasn’t as controlled of an environment as I would have liked, but being too controlled would stifle their growth. There was a time when the army needed to train in my dungeon. Back then, their levels were too low to handle the unpredictability of the wilderness. Things had changed.
Some of the soldiers had been around for many months. They had fought several difficult battles and claimed numerous victories. Some higher-level lieutenants could protect the lower-level soldiers and help them train. Furthermore, those who had been left in Chalm during the time that the Maid’s Lament took over the city had been altered somewhat. In the same way, the little girls had been altered by Astria’s machinations, a good portion of the citizens had also gained a subtle bond to the dungeon.
According to the adventurer’s guild, the group that had been turned into rage zombies by Elaya had seemingly gained enhanced bodies. They had a much higher resistance to miasma. They could go longer without eating and had increased stamina. They seemed to level quicker, and their status had a permanent buff. Thankfully, no one would complain about being stronger and more capable.
In the battle against King Roth, although beastkin were supposed to be stronger, most of them were able to hold their own. Simply put, the citizens of Chalm were all dungeon-blessed. That’s the name that was starting to go around. These people had once been terrified by dungeons, but after living next to my dungeon for months, and even seeing it protect them and help them gain prosperity, they seemed to have an almost fondness for Eliza.
Of course, the downside most of them didn’t know was that there was a karmic switch inside them, and I could take control of them at will. They probably would be less enthused to know they were a single snap away from becoming my slaves. That was confidential information, though.
