Chapter 824: Chapter 452: The Arrival of the Ding_3
On the Immortal Binding Rope, the dim yellow aura began to dissipate. This was the first time it had been restrained since Owen Bertram acquired it.
With a thought, Owen pulled back the Immortal Binding Rope like a spirit snake, while simultaneously opening his "Domain" to shield Cornelia and the shattered mountain debris from the Bronze Ancient Coffin’s attack, thus averting further casualties among the herb gatherers’ team.
The Bronze Ancient Coffin violently shook, repeatedly colliding with Owen’s "Sealing" Authority. Owen spat out a blood sword, but it failed to suppress the Bronze Ancient Coffin. Then, he activated the "Judgment" Authority to continue his resistance.
Owen spat a second mouthful of blood, appearing much weaker than before. However, the Coffin wasn’t faring much better, with its green and red energy weakened several degrees.
Despite his injuries, Owen persisted in channeling his Domain Authority into the "wounds" on the Coffin to influence and weaken its green and red energy – its very foundation.
As the Coffin continuously battled against Owen’s Authority, it became clear that Owen would be the one to fail in this standoff, given the Coffin’s higher rank.
Owen shouted angrily, "What are you waiting for!"
Unable to escape, the Chaotic Demon roared and threw itself at the Bronze Ancient Coffin with full force. In just one hit, it severely damaged the Coffin to the point where it could no longer withstand a Tier-7 attack despite being able to hold off a Sixth Realm Venerable.
The Chaotic Demon’s sneak attack forced the Coffin to retreat dozens of miles, incurring its rage. The Coffin expanded its influence throughout the Extinction Domain, causing all the different species within it to fall under its control. It wasn’t yet clear if daring to invite demon beasts to help them would be a blessing or a curse.
Being extremely cunning, the Chaotic Demon had already hidden behind the Host, so most of the impact of the Bronze Ancient Coffin’s influence was nullified by Owen’s Domain and the Commander’s Token. The remainder didn’t present much of an issue for a Tier-7 creature.
Cornelia and the others were taken aback by the presence of a Tier-7 creature – a being so powerful that it would be revered for life. Owen was only a Sixth Realm Venerable but could control a Tier-7 creature—a testament to his extraordinary power.
Unable to control the Chaotic Demon, the Bronze Ancient Coffin’s fury grew more intense. Owen’s two Flying Swords once again attacked. The Coffin managed to deflect the swords with two loud thuds, but two deep gashes were left on its body.
The Chaotic Demon’s earlier strike had severely weakened it, leaving it vulnerable to Owen’s Flying Swords. Owen laughed triumphantly and charged forward, unleashing the Five-toothed Flying Sword with a Sword God Skill attack and the Ice and Snow Divine Sword with the Heavenly River Sword Skill. The Great Seal Apparition paired with the "Sealing" Authority in the air, together assaulting the Bronze Ancient Coffin.
Sword auras tore through the void for hundreds of miles, as a Sixth Realm Venerable unleashed his earth-shattering power!
With a booming sound, the Bronze Ancient Coffin dispersed, using its green and red energy as the focus. Each coffin plank, nail, and copper ring transformed into Magic Treasures and clashed fiercely with Owen. Despite reaching this point, the Coffin still managed to gain the upper hand!
Each separate plank, nail, and ring were all Treasures, capable of fighting against the seven-tiered Flying Swords that Owen wielded.
With the Chaotic Demon concealed behind Owen, it would occasionally make an appearance. Its support prevented the Bronze Ancient Coffin from advancing, causing the battle to result in a stalemate.
However, their battle spanned hundreds of miles, causing the floating lands in this void to suffer heavy casualties. The lands would crumble with just a touch, completely shattering in the face of a direct attack...
While fighting, Cornelia and the others finally reorganized themselves, setting up the Fourfold Heaven Crossbow once more, and loaded a massive crossbow arrow.
Everyone was prepared but held back from firing. Shelia, the little girl, stood beside the large-scale magical instrument with a solemn expression, the power to fire the arrow in her hands.
Trusting Owen implicitly, they all allowed Shelia to be in control without question.
Shelia stared at the battlefield with intense focus, though in actuality, she could hardly decipher the intricate movements taking place. She was relying entirely on her instincts, but it still wasn’t the right time...
Though Cornelia was impatient, the situation worsened for Owen. He constantly retreated, assaulted by both the coffin planks and hidden coffin nails. As his position became precarious, the green and red energies erupted explosively. The coffin planks swiftly closed in from all directions and, with a sudden clap, transformed back into a coffin, trapping both Owen and the Chaotic Demon inside!
In a split second, Shelia’s heart raced – the time was now!
"Boom!"
The Fourfold Heaven Crossbow fired, and a massive crossbow arrow shot through the sky like a meteor. Within a blink of an eye, it covered a distance of several dozen miles. The green and red energies condensed rapidly, forming a ring that enveloped the arrow. The center of the blast field erupted, gradually weakening and shattering the arrow over a few inches of advancement.
However, the Innate Trapping Deity Talisman concealed within the arrow’s remains burst forth. A thin golden-red light film emerged and enveloped the green and red energies.
Frantically struggling within the light film, they experienced the "panic" of the Coffin’s evil power for the first time after their arduous battles.
