Greystone was quite upset about this, but Owen Bertram didn’t seem to have much of a reaction. He strolled around the city for a while, then left for the revered Lord’s residence in Sharon Mansion.

The revered Lord’s residence was rebuilt at the original site. This time, Owen Bertram didn’t send anyone to notify them in advance of his arrival. As soon as he showed up at the gate, he was stopped by a Military Officer: "Who is this?!"

After the officer reported the situation, he noticed a hint of strangeness in Lord Prescott’s expression, and it took quite long to respond.

"Lord?" the Military Officer couldn’t help but ask, thinking to himself that Lord Jasper should make a decision quickly as their men could not hold Owen back for long.

Jasper Michael muttered to himself, "Finally, he’s here..."

The Military Officer felt strange: Was the Lord really looking forward to the arrival of this living Yama?

Jasper Michael didn’t explain but said, "Escort Commander Lord in first, I’ll be there shortly." After speaking, he hurried towards the Backyard. Ignoring the Military Officer’s call, he walked with swift strides. The Military Officer had no choice but to return to the gate and relay Lord Prescott’s orders truthfully.

Sucky gritted his teeth and said, "Please come in, Lord."

Owen Bertram, however, did not move. He stood outside the fort, looking inward with his hands behind his back, and laughed, "Is Jasper Michael ready? Have him and all his men come out to meet me."

Did this mere Prescott think Owen Bertram dared not kill?

Owen Bertram felt something was wrong. Even if Jasper Michael was arrogant and loyal to the Ronald Clan, he wouldn’t be so disrespectful to himself, giving him an excuse to act out.

Sucky and the Military Officers beneath him secretly lamented their misfortune as they were caught in the crossfire of the power struggle between higher-ups. Sucky no longer cared and left the gate to report inside again.

However, after searching every corner of Jasper Michael’s residence, Sucky did not find him.

Standing in the middle of the courtyard, the bewildered maid scratched his head, "I didn’t see Lord Prescott leaving..."

From the new well under the courtyard wall, the sudden "swish-swish" sound of water emerged. Both of them turned their heads to see several black Mosquitoes crawling out of the well, each one the size of a fist. With their wings folded, they relied entirely on their slender legs to crawl and had three sharp mouthparts varying in length, and a poisonous stinger at the end of their tails!

The Mosquitoes shook off the water from their bodies, then quickly took flight towards the two people. Sucky’s dagger flew out with a swish, cutting several Mosquitoes in half. However, a wisp of black smoke emerged from their bodies and crawled towards the two people’s nostrils and ears as if it had a life of its own.

Sucky immediately circulated his Spiritual Energy to protect himself. The black smoke failed to invade him and instead targeted the maid next to him. The maid was just an ordinary servant with no cultivation skills and was quickly invaded by the black smoke through his orifices. The man’s eyes rolled back, and he fell to the ground. Just then, with a strange "puff" sound, the well started spewing countless Mosquitoes like a fountain. These disgusting creatures tumbled in midair, flapped their wings to steady themselves, and then began searching for life sources. They quickly locked onto the only living person in the vicinity, Sucky, and swarmed towards him.

Sucky tore up a Talisman, putting up a light screen to barely shield himself while screaming for help. The servant’s Corpse beside him swelled rapidly before bursting with a bang, revealing countless black egg-like objects that floated in the air, trying to burrow into Sucky’s body!
