Chapter 457: Chapter 352: Whose Opportunity Is It_4
"The Cultivation system of Nanni Nation originated from the Red Race." Owen Bertram guessed some facts.
He walked down from the city wall, while the patrolling team gradually retreated. Suddenly, Owen’s face changed, and he shouted angrily, "Seeking death!"
A white jade Great Seal spun in the air and fell down with a thunderous sound. A ray of spiritual light shined down and fixed an illusory figure in front of the captain of the patrolling team.
The figure didn’t fully materialize, and under the effect of the Great Seal Apparition, it appeared like a shadow condensed from clear water.
Cold sweat broke out on the captain’s forehead as he saw the figure holding a weapon in hand, only an inch away from his neck! If it weren’t for Owen’s intervention, he would have been killed silently.
"How dare you act recklessly in front of this official!" Owen shouted, and the Five-toothed Flying Sword burst out, slashing towards the figure.
A cheeky voice shouted, "I’ll kill you, Wood Dynasty dog!"
Among those hiding, one person suddenly leaped ten feet into the air, breaking free from the cloak’s concealment, and revealed himself.
Owen frowned, "A member of the Red Race?"
Had the Red Race already directly intervened in the conflicts between the Wood Dynasty and Nanni Nation?
The one who leaped out was the leader of the Red Race. In mid-air, he threw a punch at Owen, the clothes on his shoulder tore apart, revealing a Roaring Monster metal badge underneath.
The badge suddenly came to life, injecting molten metal into his arm. His arm swelled six times larger, like a giant’s hammer, as a strong wind rose and swept towards Owen.
Owen squinted, was this the Cultivation system of the Red Race? A fighting technique that combined bizarre Divine Artifacts with one’s own Cultivation.
Owen waved his sleeve, and a massive spiritual energy burst forth.
With this strike, Owen deliberately tested his own "One Meal" level strength, not using any other means, just relying on the pure power of his realm.
The Red Race opponent should be at the Power of the Five Mountains level, equivalent to the Fifth Great Realm of Wood Dynasty’s cultivators. Yet, it was unknown what level of strength he possessed within this realm.
Bang!
The steel-arm fist collided with Owen’s sleeve. The fierce and confident Red Race leader’s face changed dramatically, as cracking sounds came from his arm. Enhanced by the Roaring Monster badge, fissures quickly appeared on his arm, followed by chunks of "metal" falling off. The terrifying force swept over him, and he was knocked back with a painful scream by Owen’s sleeve, tumbling several times before crashing heavily to the ground.
His subordinates immediately went to assist him, unable to believe the outcome, "Your Excellency?!"
The leader jumped to his feet, pounded his chest, and roared to the sky.
However, his subordinates noticed that he was using his other arm, and the one he punched with had turned limp, as if it was broken.
The leader was full of doubt: It shouldn’t be like this. He had cooperated with Lester people several times to invade the Wood Dynasty along the border of Nanni Nation, and he had fought against the border army of the Wood Dynasty. With the Five Mountains’ half-realm strength and the Divine Artifacts’ power, he could easily defeat their Fifth Great Realm "Five Meal" level generals. He even had confidence in confronting their so-called unbeatable Sixth Great Realm!
Why did he seem so vulnerable in front of this fellow?
He felt his shoulder, his precious Divine Artifact, the Roaring Monster badge, had been completely shattered!
Thinking back to the process of that strike, the enhancement from the Roaring Monster on his arm began to shatter the moment it touched the opponent.
"Could it be that his spell power counters the properties of my Roaring Monster?"
This situation wasn’t uncommon in their Cultivation system. If there was a property counter, a lower-ranked Divine Artifact could potentially defeat a higher-ranked one.
The leader decided to switch to another type of Divine Artifact. He took out a crystal bottle, opened it, and held it above his head, pouring a drop of pitch-black liquid.
The liquid fell onto his head and raised a swirling black smoke. When he emerged, he had transformed into a Meat Mountain monster, standing nearly five feet tall with sharp and hideous bone armor and bone spikes all over his body.
The leader stared fiercely at Owen, furious at having to use up more of his precious Divine Artifacts! There were only two drops left in the crystal bottle, and it was incredibly difficult to condense the black liquid.
Roar!
He roared and growled, stomping his left foot heavily on the ground and charged towards Owen like a prehistoric mammoth. Under the power of the Divine Artifact, a faint black eggshell-like shield appeared in front of him.
The leader gritted his teeth, using all his strength to activate the Divine Artifact’s power. "Buzz, buzz," two more shields appeared, stacking three layers of power shields in front of him. Even the Sixth Great Realm of the Wood Dynasty would not be able to break his defenses in a single strike.
Owen was still savoring the taste of that strike. The Wildland Spirit was indeed formidable. Just by using the spiritual energy of his realm for an attack, he could easily defeat the Red Race’s punch.
It was more than enough!
