Chapter 1876: Chapter 680: Struggle for Possession_2

It’s doubtful if the Binding Seal Beast truly craved those Immortal Apricots. It was possibly a pattern it deliberately cultivated about itself, a weakness displayed on purpose.

This perceived weakness was intentionally left as a flaw. Should anyone exploit it to trick the beast, it would signal the opportunity for it to break free from the Treasure Seal.

Master Sun felt he played an "unexpected role" in the Binding Seal Beast’s plan, but the creature seemed prepared for such "unexpected" factors, feigning naivety and charging towards the Immortal Apricot Tree.

By now, everything had proceeded according to the Binding Seal Beast’s plan, and the real key determining the outcome was the battle to possess the Immortal Apricot Tree.

While the Binding Seal Beast prepared for countless years, but the Immortal Apricot Tree was not to be underestimated. The beast’s soul was dark red, the tree’s a purple-green. Their clashing souls caused the tree to erupt with thunderous flames from top to bottom, reaching out to the countless underground roots and setting the entire Immortal Apricot Void ablaze!

As the flames surged up from the ground, Samara suddenly sensed a powerful force buried deep within the earth, poised to explode. The fear this aroused was so intense it convinced her she would be obliterated, without leaving even a trace of her immortal soul!

To fall within the One Heaven meant truly dying. Every arrangement outside couldn’t bring her resurrection.

"Master, we need to leave! This place is too dangerous. I promised the Inspection Immortal General to guarantee your safety..."

Master Sun raised his hand, and through the air, a comforting force calmed the hysterical Samara. She saw three layers of light rings emerge under their feet, stopping all fires on the edge of the rings.

It suddenly dawned on Samara that she was standing with an Immortal King. What should she fear then?

Master Sun smiled and said, "If we leave now, we’ll lose out. Let’s wait a bit longer, our opportunity is coming!"

"Opportunity?" Samara looked confused, a certain childish innocence on her face which made Master Sun take an extra look. At this moment, she felt more than ever that Master Sun was unfathomable. She had been unable to decipher his intentions even when he spoke of the "opportunity". She knew nothing about the real purpose of his visit to the Immortal Apricot Void, or more accurately, his venture into One Heaven!

She had only seen him whimsical on his journey, without any obvious intent. And yet now, he seemed close to achieving his real aim!

The contest between the Immortal Apricot Tree and the Binding Seal Beast reached its climax, and no clear winner had emerged so far. However, at this point, the Treasure Seal, bound with Chain Lock, began to sway, revealing a force intent on yanking the Beast’s immortal soul from the tree!

Due to the restraint of Chain Lock, the pull was not too strong and had a limited effect on the Binding Seal Beast.

Master Sun believed that the Binding Seal Beast must have accounted for this, yet whether this would decide the showdown remained uncertain.

Even the Binding Seal Beast must be unsure.

While it indeed planned for countless years, how could something this significant be guaranteed to be foolproof? If it was that successful, then it would not have suffered under the Chain Lock and Treasure Seal for this long.

This plan was a desperate gamble.

This desperation is what Master Sun was waiting for as he sensed that the Treasure Seal is ready to act.

"Do you need help, fellow?" Master Sun floated into the air, released his Immortal King’s power, and with a smile, expressed his "good intention" to the Binding Seal Beast.

The Binding Seal Beast couldn’t be certain if it could succeed amidst the attacks from both the Immortal Apricot Tree and the Treasure Seal - it estimated over a seventy percent chance of success, and hence it risked its life!

But there still was a thirty percent chance of losing. When another party offered an alliance at this moment, it could increase the odds of success significantly. How could the beast refuse?

Master Sun knew it wouldn’t refuse, so he quickly said, "I just need your answer to a few questions."

On the trunk of the tree, a giant beast face strained to open its mouth and let out a low growl; it sounded like a dragon’s chant or as though it was speaking, uttering the pronunciation of the word "can".

Sun laughed heartily, reaching towards Samara in the sky with his hand. Samara found all thirty-six of her Embroidery Needles hidden in her sleeve whisked away by Sun. Her beautiful face blushed instantly, thinking to herself: If only you had given me some notice, so I could have prepared myself.

But just how domineering he was... it felt a bit... um um um...

With Samara’s Immortal Skill and Immortal Artifact, Sun had a certain degree of restraint on the Immortal Apricot Tree.

Whoosh-

All of the Embroidery Needles were inserted into the body of the Immortal Apricot Tree, primarily in its purple and green soul coloured parts. The Immortal Apricot Tree began to tremble violently while Sun’s hand rapidly formed a series of Immortal Skill symbols. As these were guided by the thirty-six Embroidery Needles, various tree-restraining Immortal Skills were infused into the body of the Immortal Apricot Tree!

Sun had practically read all the books in Hiram Garden. Although there were no books above the third rank, a good deal of miscellaneous Immortal Skills and Immortal Methods were available. Immortal beings could remember them all, and for someone at the Immortal King level like Sun, utilizing skills below the fourth rank was as easy as picking up an object. These may not cause fatal damage to the Immortal Apricot Tree, but they were plenty, greatly increasing his restraining power.

Sun could only take action against the Immortal Apricot Tree, not daring to focus on the Treasure Seal - this avatar was crucial, and Sun didn’t want to discard it just yet.

The Immortal Skill symbols in Sun’s hand continuously transformed, and his two hands created a sky full of afterimages. The Binding Seal Beast was now able to "empathize" with the Immortal Apricot Tree. Samara could roughly infer the ranking of the Immortal Skills from these symbols.

Samara felt that these Immortal Skills were of low rank, and against a top-notch brute like the Immortal Apricot Tree from One Heaven, it feared it might be difficult to cause real harm. Perhaps they could only make the tree feel slightly uncomfortable and distract its energy?

The empathetic Binding Seal Beast initially thought so too, but soon found that the Immortal Apricot Tree couldn’t hold up!

Due to the surprise, Binding Seal Beast didn’t keep up in time, and missed the opportunity to continue attacking the weak when they were already down and end this battle over possession.

The Binding Seal Beast didn’t feel it was its mistake; this was a brute that had a strength equivalent to its own! The Tree was restricted by the rule and couldn’t move, but was more powerful in other aspects, making up for this deficiency.

Even if you bombarded such a being with thousands of low-ranking Immortal Skills, it wouldn’t matter. It wouldn’t even penetrate its bark. But why couldn’t it hold up after a few hundred skills? Who would have thought?

Sun also called it a fluke. If it were another brute, for example, one like the Binding Seal Beast, Sun might indeed be in a bit of a predicament. But it turned out to be a tree, and the brutes Sun was most familiar with happened to be plant-based. Starting from his first encounter with Fern, Sun had the deepest contact with these types.

By the time Little Grape grew up, Sun would be even more adept against these types of brutes. It’s not quite easy as pie... but getting closer.

When thirty-six Embroidery Needles penetrated the body of the Immortal Apricot Tree, Sun quickly grasped the various attributes of this brute. Then, using a combination of low-level Immortal Skills, he was able to restrain it as well.

Without the restraint imposed by the Binding Seal Beast, Sun’s Embroidery Needle wouldn’t be able to enter the Immortal Apricot Tree. Without the guiding of the Embroidery Needle, Sun’s low-level Immortal Skills wouldn’t penetrate its bark. But now, everything was falling into place!

The Binding Seal Beast was stunned for a moment before immediately taking action. In the Immortal Apricot Void covered with blazing lightning flames, the dark red representing the Binding Seal Beast became more and more prevalent, gradually suppressing the purplish-green color of the Immortal Apricot Tree...

Boom, Boom, Boom...

Roaring sounds echo from deep under the ground, as though a terrifying giant creature was turning over, eager to burrow out from the earth. But ground gradually calmed down.

Sun timely held up a Poisonous Immortal Apricot and said to the Immortal Apricot Tree, "Bind yourself within your fruit and surrender this place to Noble One, so we won’t have to eradicate you! I promise you, as an Immortal King, that there will be a chance for you to rise again in the future!"

The Immortal Apricot Tree hesitated for just a brief moment before transforming into a thick purple and green luminous liquid and flew out of the fruit.

Sun was overjoyed!
