Chapter 1519: Chapter 557: Ghost Corpse Sect_3

...

The young lady and her party found a sheltered spot outside the village, started a bonfire, and her two maids boiled water for her to wash up. The others cooked dry food, but the lady didn’t have much of an appetite. She waved her hand, letting her subordinates eat freely, and prepared to rest.

A maid pitched the tent and spread a blanket. When the young lady lay down, the maid carefully exited the tent with the young lady’s back turned to her and said, "Don’t leave any trace, it may ruin our plans."

The maid scoffed: "Just a group of Fourth Realm nobodies. Rest assured, my lady, I will cut off all evidence."

The young lady said nothing more. The maid left the tent, signaled some guards who immediately took flight and landed on nearby heights to keep guard.

The maid sat by the bonfire and began to chant. With a whoosh, the fire shot up, spookily turning emerald green, and the heat waves turned into chilling gusts that seeped to the bone!

The maid stroked her Storage Brocade Pouch and opened it to reveal neatly arranged corpses of demon beasts! Most were intact, the rest were fragments — but it looked like they had been dissected, for reasons unknown.

She picked through the pile, cutting open the corpse of a Tire-5 Monster, and other kinds of beasts, sewing their parts together. But still, she wasn’t satisfied: "I need better materials."

She opened another Storage Brocade Pouch, inside it looked like a butcher shop, all kinds of corpses and dismembered limbs of cultivators of different realms were hanging on chains!

Picking through the corpses, she searched for the right materials as if one would for proper meat at a butcher’s. Finally, she selected a face, four hands, and four feet, threading them onto the beast corpse. Finally, she tossed the "stitched-up monster" into the eerie green fire.

Woosh——

The flames surged, the maid stood motionless, and a divine soul emerged from the spiritual cavity located on the top of her head, plunging into the stitched-up monster. After getting acclimated to the new body in the flames for a moment, the creature jumped out of the fire, its body almost strangely translucent!

The monster bobbed its head, a human face grafted onto the beast’s, piece by piece with rough stitches. Under the emerald fire light, it looked utterly creepy and bizarre!

After identifying the direction, it dove into the void toward the inn and disappeared, leaving only one statement behind, "I’m going to collect some firewood, watch over my body."

In their eyes, whether it’s a beast or a cultivator, they’re just like pieces of wood, merely materials for their tasks.

...

After Steven Brown and his companions had dinner, they went back to their rooms to finish their daily cultivation routines and went to bed. They had already contacted their family, hoping they could get access to Black Dragon Valley through connections.

In the middle of the night, a layer of dark clouds rolled in, covering the bright moon. A cold gust blew through, making the trees rustle and raising an eerie green hue.

The stitched-up monster, half-human half-beast, silently emerged from the void like a giant maggot, squirming all the way up to the second-floor windows.

Her first target was not Steven Brown, with whom she had directly conflicted but Princess Amelia. She guessed that Steven Brown and his friends were just trying to show off in front of the Little Princess. The maid, driven by jealousy, couldn’t bear women who were able to bewitch men with just their appearances.

"This body is quite good. Once I get it, I plan to live in it for three years."

"However, if the lady also sets her eyes on it, I’ll have to let her use it first. By the time she gets tired of this body, I guess it won’t be usable anymore. I’ll have to dispose of it as a material. What a pity..."

She stuck out her tongue and silently pushed open the window to enter. The little princess was sitting bright-eyed at the table, her eyes filled with madness. If Steven Brown and his friends saw this, they’d no doubt be terrified...

On her table, a variety of knives were neatly arranged, which the Little Princess had just "borrowed" from the kitchen. The maid walked in and happened to "lock eyes" with the Little princess, who was already selecting the right knife: "Should I mince it all together or separate it into different parts to make skewers?"

"Your taste is getting heavier, can you really eat this?" A cultivator, Steven, appeared silently by her side. He put a hand on the Little Princess and blew out a cloud of fog... The maid’s eyes showed a hint of confusion, and then her memory was altered:

She snuck the room and found this insane little girl playing with knives in the middle of the night. With the girl’s Fourth Great Realm cultivation, she fell easily to the maid. She skillfully harvested this "material", leaving no marks on the surface.

Then, she silently collected another five "materials" and left the inn without alerting anyone. Tomorrow morning, the host will assume that they have left overnight.

She returned to the bonfire successfully and first returned to her body. The perfect body was indeed coveted by the lady who happily took possession, discarding the original body into the material store.

Then the maid unexpectedly began a conversation: "My lady, there are military guards around Black Dragon Valley, how are we supposed to get in?"

"There are so many cultivators around Black Dragon Valley, surely some of them would have access permits. Once we take their skins, we’re in."
