Chapter 1209: Chapter 469: Second Brother Gnawing on a Bone_2

Therefore, the King of Souls actually had no real expectations of the Young Master, only giving unconditionally. But then, the Young Master suddenly asked if he could obtain a Tier-9 evil artifact related to death rules?

The King of Souls shuddered and cautiously inquired about the various properties of this evil treasure. Suddenly, it was as if a bright light had switched on in his mind and he exclaimed, "Young Master, this is a destiny. Isn’t this ’Corpse River’ prepared for our Miniature Underworld?"

Owen Bertram thought it made perfect sense, "Lend me the Abyss, let the Ghost Dragon transport this treasure back."

"Yes!" The King of Souls and Owen Bertram both knew this was a risky move. However, faced with a Tier-9 treasure, who could resist such temptation?

Owen Bertram glanced at Santa and opened the "Abyss" with a wave of his hand. Santa could force his way in to watch, but since they were allies and Owen Bertram did not invite him, he stayed where he was, coldly snorting with his arms behind his back, "Kid, don’t overdo it. You might still need my help later."

Deep in the Abyss, the Ghost Dragon warily crawled out - it wasn’t usually like this, excitedly leaping out to devour the prey at sight, much like how the second one behaved.

With an immense effort, it managed to carry the ’Corpse River’ on its back, almost being crushed immobile. Fortunately, since the Ghostly Ted no longer controlled the ’Corpse River’ and it faintly sensed the synergy of its properties with the Abyss and the Ghost Dragon, it did not offer any resistance.

The King of Souls heaved a long sigh of relief in secret and quickly took back the Abyss, returning to the Miniature Underworld with the ’Corpse River’. He then activated the Ghost Dragon, striving to shift the ’Corpse River’ out of the Abyss. The poor Ghost Dragon turned into a worm-like creature, wriggling bit by bit with considerable effort, and finally managed to transfer the ’Corpse River’ out of the Abyss.

Upon contact with the Miniature Underworld, the ’Corpse River’ felt like a deity returning to position, and it automatically suspended itself in the air above the Miniature Underworld. It instinctively communicated and integrated with the Miniature Underworld!

Nonetheless, the ’Corpse River’ still carried an evil force within it. During the integration process, tendrils of black mist representing this force dissipated into nothingness.

The Corpse Fiend, Lord of the Skeleton Sea, and Drowned Ghost Princess gazed in shock; within the Ghost Soldier Camp, those Tier-6 generals simultaneously let out roars of joy, and countless ghost soldiers clapped their weapons excitedly!

The King of Souls smiled and said, "This is a blessing from the Young Master!"

They had aided the Honored Lord in building the Miniature Underworld—not something many expected given the Young Master’s relatively low rank. Yet, he was able to gift them such a treasure! The King of Souls spoke again, "We chose the right person."

Treasure Ghost Judge and others nodded in secret agreement—things were looking promising for the future, not just a slight improvement but rather a flourishing one!

The King of Souls reported to the Young Master, "Once the ’Corpse River’ and Miniature Underworld have completely merged and completely expelled the evil forces, the Miniature Underworld will once again greatly elevate. A few new divine positions would appear and they will need the Young Master’s approval."

Owen Bertram did not object to this.

As for the Elder Santa, he looked puzzled with his beard fluttering in the wind: a Tier-9 evil artifact is more potent than both of Ghostly Ted’s main magic treasures, and this boy had really taken it away!

However, Owen Bertram was not entirely satisfied—he couldn’t use the ’Corpse River’ as a bargaining chip. He still wanted to embezzle the Spirit Fire Dogs of the Red Dragon Master. What to do?

While Owen was trying to figure out his deception, Elder Santa had seen right through him and bellowed, "Return the Spirit Fire Dogs to their master!"

The divine dogs had already devoured the entire Corpse Bone Mountain, including all the resentful spirits on it. Each one of them had grown more than three times their original size.

The Corpse Bone Mountain was also a Tier-9 evil artifact, so one can imagine the preciousness of the Spirit Fire Dogs now. Santa was definitely not willing to part with them.

"Hehe, Elder..." Owen grinned, to which Santa sternly interrupted him, "Don’t even think about it!" Then his tone became serious, "Bertram, listen to your uncle, you won’t be able to control this treasure."

"Really can’t be negotiated?" Owen was persistent, weighing the cost of absconding with this treasure and angering the Red Dragon Master, to see if he could afford it. Finally, he gave up, not because of the cost, but because, even if Owen was thick-skinned, he wasn’t shameless to that degree.

He shook the gourd once and returned the Spirit Fire Dogs to Santa. Satisfied, Santa then laughed, "You are sensible, kid. Don’t worry; the Red Dragon Master is not petty. He acknowledged your efforts, and if you need it in the future, he’s willing to lend you this treasure."

Owen was overjoyed, "Is this true?"

Before Santa could add, "Don’t push your luck by borrowing this treasure indefinitely under the guise of ’need’!",

Owen laughed off, "Hehe, how could I? You always misunderstand me, Elder. Look, as a junior, I have a major operation coming up and it’s extremely dangerous. I need a treasure for protection&"

"Stop!" Santa interrupted, glaring at him. He went on pretending he was wronged. He used the ’Than Thousand Doors Eye’ to scan below, unearthed something from the sand, quickly stuffed it into the Gourd Elder, and said, "You don’t want this, do you? Let me keep it."
