Chapter 1158: Chapter 544: Ghostly Ted_4
Underneath the sinister atmosphere, Abner Lane felt a violent surge of emotion in his chest, growing larger and urging him to destroy everything in his path.
He activated his lifeforce to counter it, and quickly, his eyes cleared up: "What a wicked technique!"
Boom!
The gray shadow collided with the layers of firewalls in front of Santa, penetrating several firewalls, but was stopped in front of the sixth firewall. Layers of Spirit Fire emerged on the firewall, intending to devour the gray shadow—however, Santa suddenly roared angrily and forcefully withdrew all the Spirit Fire.
"You dirty old ghost!"
"Hahaha!" The demonic laughter came from the ground once again: "Aren’t you looking for the North Extreme? I’m giving it to you."
Owen Bertram finally saw that the gray shadow was actually a little figure shaped like a snow lotus, similar to the ginseng people at the South Extreme in Baker Refinement City’s Ancient Annihilation Domain. Its body had been tainted by Ghostly Ted’s evil power, turning it grey and black all over, with a malicious look in its eyes and claws starting to grow on its palms.
Santa didn’t want to hurt the North Extreme, so after dodging it a few times, he jabbed his Fire Staff into the ground forcefully: "Get out of here!" A Tire-8 Pure Fire transformed into a slender fire spike, drilling deep into the earth.
But that sly Ghostly Ted’s voice taunted once again: "Hehe, missed! Anyway, you guys can take your time playing with your North Extreme, I’m off to devour the Da Luo World Gate."
Santa was furious but couldn’t locate the old man’s true body, despite being a powerful expert along with Abner Lane.
The expression of the little snow lotus of the North Extreme was fierce, repeatedly charging at Santa. The Four Extremes of Eastern Land were vital to Red Dragon Master’s grand plan, at least one Extreme needed to be secured for the ensuing operations. South Extreme was out of reach, but the North Extreme was right in front of them. Santa truly didn’t want to destroy it unless there was no other option, so he chose to keep dodging and became somewhat dodgy in the process.
Suddenly, Owen Bertram spoke up: "Predecessor, you may have misunderstood Ghostly Ted, I think he’s a good person, even generously offering you one of the Four Extremes of Eastern Land that you couldn’t find."
Santa couldn’t believe his own ears, what nonsense was this brat talking about? He glared at Owen Bertram, but saw Owen smirking and asking, "Predecessor, do you have any more money? I’m a bit short on cash lately, and could use about seventy or eighty Shell Coins."
Santa’s mind raced, seemingly understanding something. But he rolled his eyes instead: "You greedy brat, asking for seventy or eighty Shell Coins right off the bat? I only have one left, do you want it or not?"
Owen quietly scoffed, thinking that Santa was holding back. Last time, he insisted on only having one Shell Coin, but now, in a critical situation, he suddenly had another one! There could be more next time.
Santa’s face flushed with embarrassment from Owen’s disdainful gaze, he hurriedly explained: "I went back and searched again, and found one more by accident. A lucky find for you, kid, take it."
Owen took it and stood side by side with Santa. He suddenly opened his own Domain— the little snow lotus of the North Extreme charged in and suddenly felt an unfathomable power descending from the Nine Heavens, cleansing its body like the Water of the Heavenly River.
The sinister energy from Ghostly Ted quickly faded away from the little snow lotus, its fierce gaze disappeared, and the anomalies on its body vanished as well.
Domain Authority: Purification!
Owen already had his Shell Awl raised high, striking it down towards a location on the ground. Based on the evil power on the North Extreme, Owen traced it back to find the hidden Ghostly Ted.
"Ah—"
The ground shook violently like a stormy sea, Ghostly Ted let out a miserable scream. Owen quickly retreated: "Now it’s up to you two, Your Excellencies!"
I’m just a Sixth Great Realm, only capable of a sneak attack. To face such a ferocious ancient being head-on, it’s all up to you two. I will be cheering you on!
