Chapter 1149: Chapter 541: I Come From the Casting Net!_1

As dusk fell, the old man came to a small village to stay overnight, carrying the True Spirit Totem in his arms. Rex County was poor, and no one in the village was kind enough to let him stay. He saw the totems of the Divine Lord in the houses, but he dared not admit that he was a believer as well.

With the Divine Servant Lord already dead, the entire Divine Religion in Rex County would be wiped out. He couldn’t ensure that if he revealed his identity, these people wouldn’t arrest him and send him to the officials!

Under the guidance of an older woman in the village, the old man went to a broken temple on the east side of the village and stayed there for the night. The temple originally enshrined the local Lord of the Land. Seeing the tattered statue, the old man was filled with an inexplicable rage and tore the clay statue to pieces, stomping on it angrily. Exhausted and panting from the ordeal, he rested for a while before respectfully placing the True Spirit Totem on the altar where the Lord of the Land once stood, bowing and praying earnestly.

After performing all this, he drank some well water and fell asleep beneath the altar table.

Marcello and his group were stationed outside the village. After nightfall, there were hardly any lights in the village. Suddenly, Marcello felt something was off. He flew up high and surveyed the land, which seemed to be vast and desolate. Creatures like foxes and rats hidden in the mountains and plains, searching for food. There seemed to be nothing unusual.

The Tiger Patrol Guard approached and asked softly, "Your Excellency, have you discovered anything?"

Marcello shook his head: "I may be overthinking it." However, when they returned, Tiger Patrol Guard saw Marcello scatter a few seeds on the ground while pretending to lay down and sleep.

The two exchanged a glance, agreeing that being careful was essential as Calamity Experiencers in Da Luo World Gate adventures. The more cautious they were, the better chance they’d have of surviving.

The old man awoke at dawn, picked up the True Spirit Totem, and resumed his journey. The night before, he had caught a field mouse in the broken temple and eaten it raw. The noise of catching the field mouse had attracted the curses from nearby villagers.

The old man felt stronger and more energetic in the morning.

Marcello’s group didn’t move until the old man had traveled several miles away. No one in the village saw them come and go. They had spent the night camped on a wild field outside the village, full of shrubs and weeds. The seeds Marcello scattered had taken root and grown, blending perfectly with the surrounding weeds.

This Tier-6 Marvel called Sacred Grass, though not high in status, was exceedingly rare. The Tiger Patrol Guard had only heard of it before, so he wasn’t surprised by Marcello’s use of it.

Marcello spotted a young man through the Sacred Grass after traveling several miles following the old man. The man appeared to be at the Fifth Realm, Sixth Meal, and certainly not at the Sixth Realm. He stealthily appeared around their previous campsite. The young man was cautious, fearing traps, so he didn’t enter the camp and instead kept watch from the outside before following.

Marcello said, "There’s a tail behind us." He glared menacingly at the Tiger Patrol Guard and the others. Since he didn’t bring this tail, it must have been because the three of them had been careless earlier.

The three didn’t dare argue, and Wallis played up her feminine charm, saying, "What should we do? We’ll follow whatever you say, Your Excellency."

Marcello estimated that the man’s cultivation level was a small tier higher than his, which explained why he didn’t notice him following from behind. Marcello thought that the man might have used some Divine Skill to spy on them last night when everything fell silent, raising Marcello’s suspicion. Marcello was confident he could kill anyone in the Sixth Realm, let alone this man, as long as he used a few of his magical items.

"The tail is in the Fifth Great Realm, Sixth Meal. We have to get rid of him but can’t alert the old man in front," Marcello said.

Foolish Free and Easy raised his hand and said, "I have a Tier-6 Marvel called the Freeze Pestle. When it falls, it freezes everything within a ten-mile radius, preventing any sounds from escaping."

Marcello nodded, "Let’s use it. We’ll set up an ambush, lure the tail in, eliminate him, and then continue tracking the old man."

The Tiger Patrol Guard was a bit worried, "Why don’t Your Excellency and the other two ambush the tail while I follow the old man? Just in case something unexpected happens."

Marcello thought for a moment, "It’s best if we act together so everyone can be at ease."Tiger Patrol Guard had nothing to say. The four of them were just a temporarily formed team. To cut off the tail, Marcello had to stay behind. He was the main combat force. Without him to set up an ambush on the tail, it was uncertain who could really cut it off.

This led to the fact that no matter who, or which two of them, went to track the old man first, at least Marcello would not be at ease.

"No matter." Tiger Patrol Guard said: "That old man is just an ordinary person; he can’t fly to the sky."

...

On the country road, a young man was cautiously moving forward. Suddenly, he became as alert as a rabbit. But before he could turn around to leave, a person appeared on the small mound to his left. With a cold snort, he heavily inserted a magical instrument that was one-third like an iron pestle and one-third like a Command Token into the ground at his feet.

Soundlessly, the whole world seemed to freeze, the wind stopped, the clouds didn’t move, and the grass and trees no longer swayed.

Then, from the three other directions around the young man, three Calamity Experiencers appeared. In front of Marcello, a cruel smile appeared on his face, his facial muscles twitching. The three teardrop-shaped marks like petals on his brow flew out together.

In an instant, light spilled, and treasures shone!

One turned into a Flying Sword, floating in front of Marcello, as if it had its own sword spirit, ready to attack at the right moment. The second turned into a shadowy martial spirit sitting behind Marcello, pouring a torrent-like force into Marcello’s body. His realm broke through the Sixth Great Realm in one breath. The third turned into an ancient vine deeply rooted in the earth, drawing in the earth vein’s qi from the surroundings. Then the vine spread and wrapped around Marcello, turning into a green and oily vine armor that covered him from head to toe! His aura soared once again, reaching the Sixth Realm with Three Merits!

With a single thought from Marcello, the Flying Sword chopped through the air. With this power combined with Marcello’s current strength, even a Six Realms Five Merits opponent could be fought, let alone the fact that he had a secret medicine in his arms that could stimulate a Seventh Level attack once consumed!

However, Marcello did not see any fear or panic in the other party’s eyes. Instead, the other party even seemed excited and began to charge straight towards him at an accelerated pace.

With a raise of his hand, a dark, abrupt emergence appeared, quickly infecting the entire area where the Freeze Pestle was located. Marcello had once adventured with the seniors of Red Inscription 12 and had seen the situation before him, shouting out in horror, "Mini-world!"

The huge face of the King of Souls appeared in the sky, and Owen Bertram had already taken advantage of the Netherworld Small World’s cover. With the Ice and Snow Divine Sword in his hand, Marcello’s body was separated from his head, and he died!

Lord Owen was very satisfied, having thought hard for a long time yesterday but not finding a suitable method to conceal his breathing, so as not to disturb the True Spirit Totem in front.

Seeing that the sky was getting dark, suddenly he had a bright idea: Why not reverse the tactic? Just because I can’t do it doesn’t mean those four can’t. They had great confidence in their so-called "marvels". Maybe one of them just happened to have a marvel that could achieve my goal.

Then, Lord Owen deliberately leaked a trace of his aura, and sure enough, Marcello caught it. Lord Owen was still somewhat uneasy at first. If Marcello’s plan wasn’t so perfect, how should he respond to dispel their suspicions? However, Marcello did not disappoint him - the entire ambush process was flawless, and Lord Owen passively cooperated, making everything go smoothly!

Such a seamless opponent, please give me a dozen more!

The three Tiger Patrol Guards were caught in a chaotic state in the Abyss. With their strength, they could not even understand this Mini-world. At this moment, only one thought was in their minds: Why was Marcello so confident, yet so ordinary in the actual battle?

When the darkness around them dissipated and the "chaotic" feeling began to fade, they found themselves tied up with a dark yellow rope and hung on the Freeze Pestle. The "tail" was standing beside them with a satisfied look on his face.

What was most terrifying was that they found that under the state of being tied up by this rope, they could not open the Da Luo World Gate!
