Chapter 1036: Chapter 508: Thunder Guiding Finger_3

From a distance, Mr. Bertram noticed a massive beast gyrating in the lake and immediately darted towards it, excited.

The ensuing battle left the Tire-7 Monster - a Twin Fire Serpent, yowling in agony as it retreated to the deepest parts of the Fire Lake, refusing to emerge. Mr. Bertram sighed, not because he couldn’t conquer this Fire Lake, but rather, he verified this area was not the Nirvana Grand Tomb, so why waste effort?

However, following that, Mr. Bertram flew over a thousand miles, and everywhere he passed was lush green, with Monster Beasts and Monster Plants roaming freely. He no longer encountered a place with Spirit Fire.

He had fully expanded his divine consciousness but still couldn’t sense the power of Spirit Fire.

By the time it was late afternoon and night was drawing near, slight heat fluctuations vaguely originated from the southeast direction. Overjoyed, Mr. Bertram flew toward it, prepared to work through the night to find the Nirvana Grand Tomb sooner.

After flying four hundred miles, Mr. Bertram finally spotted a scorching land. This place was unlike any other – it was a vast hill undulating in all directions, each looking like a steamed bun stamped on the ground.

Among the pitch-black rocks, glaze streaks were mixed in. These streaks and rocks had crevices in between from which white hot air and dark red flames kept gushing out.

Just as he was about to approach for a closer look, one of the hills suddenly burst open with a bang. Shattered rocks and glaze splattered in all directions, followed by a widespread flame and magma.

Beneath the ground, a long and angry roar echoed: "Ahhh—" A colossal head, not much smaller than a hill, lunged out from the flames and magma.

Its entire body somehow resembled an ox, glowing like a glaze. Between the two curved horns atop its head, three sturdy vertical horns were grown. Its body ran long like a centipede with seventy to eighty segments; each bore sharp claws.

Under its bovine head, on the neck region, a vast number of tentacles sprouted, unlike an octopus’s flexible tentacles, each of these was armored with dense scales; they looked more like pythons!

Moreover, the top had a ring-shaped mouth that could widen seven to eight times. Inside it were seven layers of sharp tusks.

Mr. Bertram was taken aback. He had never seen such a grotesque and ugly Monster Beast before: "What the hell is this?"

This giant beast crashed out, shaking its body causing tremors in space. It let out ox-like roars continually. The sound contained a potent deterrence effect, any Tire-4 or lower Monster Beast would likely die from the sheer terror.

Mr. Bertram saw a silver long spear piercing the belly of the giant beast. It contorted its body, apparently trying to sway the long spear out. However, many thin silver threads seeping from the long spear had grown deep into the flesh around the wound!

A few figures sprinted out with the flame and magma, a voice called out: "Honored Lord, strike now!"

Mr. Bertram recognized that voice and on a closer look, realized it indeed belonged to Mr. Archibald and a few others.

A gust of massive tentacles swept across the air. The heads of two persons were caught, leaving the headless corpses to drop down with a crunch. The tentacles’ mouths gulped hard to swallow the spherical objects.

Mr. Archibald and another cultivator screamed out in pain, their eyes almost bursting with rage. At that moment, the giant beast bowed its head and let out a long fire dragon. A shining treasure light enveloped Mr. Archibald’s body, and when the fire dragon hit him, the treasure light shattered, yet it bought some time for Mr. Archibald to escape.

The other person wasn’t so lucky and was instantly swallowed by the fire dragon, leaving not even a trace of his corpse!

They had risked their lives to set up an ambush for this Tire-7 Monster Beast, creating an opportunity for the Honored Lord. Uncertain if the Honored Lord could successfully hunt the sacrifice, they had already suffered heavy casualties, leaving only Mr. Archibald.

"Beast! Bring back my brother’s life!" The Honored Lord finally appeared, crying bitterly, eyes swollen with tears, and one hand held high as if clutching something invisible.

Out of thin air, countless thunderbolts and thunder lights converged, these potent forces followed a certain law to condense into tiny talismans. The talismans joined together to form a Thunder Talisman Long Spear in his hand!

With a roar, the Honored Lord hurled the long spear. The Tire-7 Monster Beast lowered its head and shot a dark red light from its vertical horns, heavily landing on the Thunder Talisman Long Spear.

The long spear exploded with infinite Thunder Lights but was still knocked down to the ground, creating a large pit. The Tire-7 Monster Beast relaxed a bit, however, the silver long spear lodged in its belly established a connection with the Thunder Talisman Long Spear. A long lightning bolt connected both. Under the attraction of the silver long spear, the Thunder Talisman Long Spear surged upwards for the second time, landing heavily on the beast’s wound.

Soar!

A myriad of lightning strikes illuminated everything in snow white.

Both the Honored Lord and Mr Archibald were blinded, but amidst the white brilliance, they heard the agonized scream of the Tire-7 Monster, followed by the feel of the ground shaking as though a massive creature had fallen.

The two finally heaved a sigh of relief.

As the light from the Thunder Talisman Long Spear finally faded, they floated up, looking past the decimated hills to see a huge beast lying in a pool of magma. Its abdomen sported a massive wound, where flesh was charred black by the combined powers of lightning and thunder.

"Is it dead?" asked Mr. Archibald. Despite their success, he couldn’t feel joy as they had lost almost all of their top cultivators.

The complexion of the Honored Lord abruptly changed, "Something’s not right! It’s vitality hasn’t ceased..." But before he could finish, phantom embers of Spirit Fire burst forth from within the Monster’s body. Its wound began to heal at an astonishing speed. Its scale-covered appendages twitched incessantly, its mountain-like head was about to rise, when suddenly a hand extended from the void, holding a Stone Cone, which accurately stabbed into the monster’s neck.

Swoosh——

Blood spurted, igniting in the air.

This wound was trivial compared to the one they had inflicted with their joint effort using the silver long spear and the Thunder Talisman Long Spear.

However, in spite of being such a small wound, the Spirit Fire in the Tire-7 Monster’s blood was gushing out uncontrollably, its vitality rapidly draining away. While it struggled to get up and screamed in agony, it finally collapsed on the shattered hillside after quite a long struggle.

Mr. Archibald and the Honored Lord were dumbfound. They had considered themselves doomed after their attack failed, despite the silver long spear talisman called "Thunder Guiding Finger" which, in conjunction with the Lord’s Thunder Talisman Long Spear, had capabilities far exceeding their current cultivation levels.

It was the Honored Lord’s only method capable of slaying a Tire-7 Monster. Which is why Mr. Archibald had risked leading others to ambush the Monster from behind, inserting the Thunder Guiding Finger into its belly.

If the Honored Lord’s most potent method had failed, they could only prepare to meet their end.

Who could have imagined that a little Stone Cone could have finished off a Tire-7 so easily?

Mr. Bertram conceded that he had been opportunistic. Had Mr. Archibald and the Honored Lord not severely injured the Tire-7 Monster, he would have needed various additional methods to win the battle, like summoning the Chaotic Demon to stand in front.

He knew very well the shock that his own strike would have on Mr. Archibald and the Honored Lord. His main interest, however, was in this place which could very well be the hiding place of the Red Dragon Master’s Nirvana Grand Tomb!

Mr. Archibald and the Honored Lord wondered to themselves: We were the first cultivators to enter this Ancient Annihilation Domain, could it be that another powerful being has snuck in after us?

Could it be possible.... That the one who secretly stepped in, is an ancient cultivator who has woken up in this world?

An entrance gradually revealed itself in the void, through which a figure appeared holding a stone cone.

As soon they saw who it was, they both cried out in surprise: "It’s you?!"

Owen Bertram nodded, stating, "I owe you one, saving your lives is my way of repaying you, we are now even." He then went to the corpse of the Tire-7 Monster and with a brief touch, the massive beast disappeared, stored away in his gourd. Whispering quietly to his younger brother, "Are you hungry? Your big brother put his life on the line and overcame hardships, using the limited power of the Sixth Realm and slaying a Tire-7 Monster out of his league, all so my dear little brother won’t go hungry!"

Little Loach’s eyes spun around. With everything being so serious, would it be really okay to casually consume this Tire-7 Monster after his elder brother had put up such a struggle?

Little Loach’s first instinct was that there could be trouble. But it hadn’t eaten properly in a long time, how was it supposed to resist such a feast laid out in front of it?

Little Loach circled around the food a couple of times, its two whiskers gently brushing the meal. Eventually, it gave a delighted yelp and pounced on the food, eating heartily.
