Chapter 79: Karl(2)

While Lucas stays as the bridge between them, having to hear Lucas always talk about Karl whenever they meet, Felix sometimes suspects if something is going on between those two, that he has no idea of.

While the purpose was to actually talk about him, the way Lucas talk is somewhat different than before. Felix definetely noticed it.

Still...he can’t be certain because these two look like enemies since all they do is bicker and annoy each other whenever he sees them together. So even when he is not present, it must be the same way, right?

It didn’t look very romantic in Felixs’ sight, so he wouldn’t be sure. But he never questioned Lucas either.

Alas, It would be weird to ask something like that when he hadn’t seen those two together for a long time. But the way Lucas talks, always complaining yet admiring Karl at the same time, does make Felix question himself.

"Let’s go and see your lover."

Karl said and signed the other two to follow him.

"He is not my lo- ugh! Whatever!"

Felix just gave up explaining when he saw the two’s weird looks. They always manage to annoy him. And they are always together on it.

Felix followed Karl with Lucas and entered a room where he came face to face with Asher, who was sitting on the sofa, awkwardly trying to get some words out seeing the duke.

"D-duke..."

Asher’s voice trembled and Felix rushed to him as Asher jumped to his arms and went into a hug.

"What did you do to him?"

Felix asked Karl annoyingly when he saw Asher crying in his embrace. He must have been scared.

"Nothing. I just talked with him. I guess he was scared."

Karl said while shrugging his shoulders, sounding not very serious. Seeing this, Lucas kicked Karl in the leg a little hard. Karl rolled his eyes, trying to convince them he was telling the truth.

"I really did nothing! Damn it!"

The man complained and Asher looked at him in the corner of his eyes, smirking at the man which the other two didn’t notice but he did.

While Felix was focused on calming down Asher, Karl, who was amused by the situation, let out a light chuckle and smirked, admitting defeat. He shook his head lightly, putting his hand around Lucas’s waist, leaning closer.

"Little puppy, don’t you think they look romantic now? See, my son is hugging his lover and spreading love, comforting him. Haha...I wish I had someone like that too. Too bad I have a fierce one that always kicks me."

Lucas turned his head and looked at Karl, bumped his forehead against Karl’s really hard. Karl whimpered, rubbing his forehead in pain and backed away immediately.

"Who is your puppy? I am a dog and I am going to rip your mouth off. You always cause trouble. What did you do to him? And why did you kidnap him in the first place, bastard? You should have just gone and met him if you were that curious. Idiot."

Lucas blamed him seriously but Karl smirked, came closer and put his hand around Lucas’s waist again, his eyes making contact with Lucas, madly excited as he knew what he did would be advantageous for his ’son’.

"It’s fun. See...My son and he can get close now. It’s always bad things that make people get close. Like the three of us. So yeah...I just thought I should give a push for my boy to get closer to that boy."

He said with a playful tone and Lucas pinched the arm around his waist, then walked to sit down. He was too frustrated.

Lucas didn’t know this guy kidnapped Asher till that day. Karl also did not inform him but waited till he came to visit him. He didn’t even blame Karl but straight went to see Felix as soon as possible after making sure Asher was doing fine.

Actually, Lucas was worried Felix might have noticed Asher’s absence and might be troubled already. But to his surprise, he didn’t even know Asher had been missing for three days and was with Karl.

Well, he would ignore it since Asher might not always cross paths with Felix everyday.

But what about Anne? Wasn’t she worried about Asher’s disspapearance? He was her personal servant so of course she would know if he had gone missing or not.

Lucas suspected maybe...Karl and Anne worked on this together. Anne is very close to Karl. They weirdly have a lot of similar things in common and if Anne had helped Karl in this stupid mission, Lucas wouldn’t even be surprised.

But...he would just let go of this because he thought Felix would get very upset to find out Anne could have helped Karl for this by keeping silent.

Felix and Anne have very different views of things. It makes Karl and Felix also have different views. But Karl and Felix had never gotten into any big disagreement because he had never done something that serious for Felix to go mad. But, Anne did...Killing people for her revenge. So, even this little thing might be a big matter in Felix’s view. Lucas didn’t want to cause problems so he decided he would chew Karl out for causing trouble.

He is the mastermind anyway. Alas, he wasn’t sure if Anne was really in this stupid plan. But it was most likely. And, Felix might also...understand it later.

"Before marrying your so-called son off, you should find a lover for yourself first. Too bad you can only seduce dogs and cats."

Lucas said with a smirk, making Karl’s grin get wiped off immediately.

"Fuck...its not seducing. They like me because I have a kind soul."

Karl said and sat down next to Lucas, complaining.

"Yeah yeah...so kind that you annoy the shit out of me."

Lucas said as he rolled his eyes.

"Are you angry?"

Karl asked Lucas, seemingly serious.

"Not much. But I don’t think Felix is okay with what you did."

"He will thank me later."

"Huh! For what?"

"You will know little puppy. Trust me in this one."

"Physo."

Lucas and Karl bickered in whispers as they didn’t want to ruin Felix’s and Asher’s ’moment.’

’Well...why don’t they let go of each other now? Acting all lovey dovey.’

Lucas was noticing a lot of changes in Felix now.

And it was definitely because of Asher.

But it was all good.

Still, it’s quite unfortunate that they are not as close as that so-called rumour that had gone around among the servants.

Like Anne and Karl, Lucas also wished it would be true.

But he felt bad because it felt like he was trying to pressure Felix into something he might not want to.

That’s why despite the jokes, he never talked about it in a serious way. But this idiot really took such a step kidnapping him and trying to make them get closer.

Idiot....
