Asher rubbed the little girl’s head, trying to console her to stop crying.

Why did she think he would hate her?

He is the best person in her world.

With the events unfolding, she was now feeling so many emotions that it was overwhelming.

Because of that, seeing Felix made her stutter, panic and shake. But not in a bad way. She gets too excited which makes her embarrassed and unable to process her thoughts.

That would be the way to put it.

So, coming to the problem at the moment, Should she call him dad? Father? Papa?

She never had a father before. Obviously...

All those words were what other children call their fathers. Which one would be better? She wanted to please her broth-

"Miss Anne...you don’t need to rush. I am sure the duke is also getting used to it. Take your time. But don’t ignore the duke. He is very worried and sad. You understand, right?"

"Does brother Ash know how I found out about this? Or...did...he tell you anything about what I have done before too?"

"No...the duke said Miss Anne herself will tell me one day."

"...I will. I definitely will, in one day. Brother Ash will hear me out right? And, I hope you won’t hate me on that day."
