Chapter 848: Chapter 0848: Extremely Poisonous Eggshell
"Before figuring out its origin and confirming its safety, no one is allowed to touch it."
After hearing Liu Mengting and Chen Cang’s conversation, Tang Ming finally calmed down and realized that this creature wasn’t an ordinary bat. As for what it was, he needed to research it slowly, though he had the biggest suspicion that this was the product of a combination between the Scorpion and the Poison Frog.
Thinking about this, Tang Ming felt speechless. One Scorpion, one Poison Frog, and the two combined, producing a bat; it really defies logic.
"Such a cute little thing, how can it be unsafe?"
Li Xiaoli stared at the little creature, impatiently saying, "Brother Tang Ming, quickly open the box and let us have a good look at this cute little thing."
"There’s no room for negotiation."
Tang Ming frowned and said unequivocally, "This was hatched from the Heavenly Yin Scorpion Frog Egg. Just hearing the name indicates danger. Until I rule out the danger, no one can touch it."
"No, no, I just want to play with it."
Li Xiaoli shook Tang Ming’s arm persistently.
"Xiaoli, stop it."
Liu Mengting hurriedly stopped Li Xiaoli, sternly reprimanding her, "Since Tang Ming said this thing is dangerous, there must be a reason. We shouldn’t add to the confusion."
"Yes. When Tang Ming rules out the danger, he will allow us to touch it. This is all for our safety."
Xia Wei’er also knew that Tang Ming never jokes about everyone’s safety, so if he said it, there must be a reason.
"Alright."
Although unwilling, Li Xiaoli knew Tang Ming was right and looked at the box with a pout, reluctantly.
"Rest assured. Once I confirm it’s safe, you can do whatever you want. Although I don’t know what it is, I’ll leave the naming rights to you."
Tang Ming looked at Li Xiaoli, smiling comfortingly.
"Alright, alright."
Li Xiaoli nodded repeatedly, seriously thinking, "This thing is so cute, I must give it a good name, ideally one that matches with Dingdang Dog and Little White at home."
"Then you guys go back and think about it. I need to research what this thing exactly is. You all should head back."
Tang Ming began to issue a farewell command, also wanting to quickly find out what this little bat was.
After determining their travel plan, the group returned to their rooms to pack their things. Even if it was just for business, the women wanted to dress beautifully and quickly mail extra items back to Songlan City.
Tang Ming immediately closed the doors and windows, then stood in front of the glass box, curiously staring at the creature inside.
"What on earth is this? With my knowledge, I haven’t seen anything like it."
Tang Ming murmured to himself, after considering for a while, he gritted his teeth and reached out to unlock the glass box.
"Whoosh!"
Once the glass box was opened, a red light shot out like lightning, even Tang Ming with his skills couldn’t catch it.
"So fast."
Tang Ming’s face changed dramatically, immediately getting up to chase it. Despite giving his all, he couldn’t catch the little bat.
Only to see a figure and a red light flying up and down the room, chasing each other for over ten minutes, still without a result.
"Forget it, this darn thing is too fast."
Breathless, Tang Ming sat back on the sofa, feeling speechless. He didn’t expect that, despite his speed advantage, he would lose to this newborn creature.
After Tang Ming sat down, the little bat didn’t stop, still turning into a red light darting around the room.
"Damn it, I don’t care about you."
Tang Ming glanced at the red light and then looked at the eggshell material inside the glass box.
Since the creature had already hatched, it was now impossible to consume the thing to enhance cultivation. Essentially, the billions of money spent were wasted, and Tang Ming, unwilling to give up, focused on the eggshell.
"Spent billions, just left with this little bit, wonder if it’s useful."
Tang Ming stood up, walked to the glass box, and reached in to dump the eggshells onto the table, then tossed the glass box aside.
When those eggshells fell on the table, the wooden surface immediately began to corrode.
Under Tang Ming’s shocked gaze, the table emitted black smoke, corroded by those eggshells creating many small holes. Eventually, all the eggshells burned through the table and settled quietly on the tile floor.
"Oh my god, this thing has such destructive power?"
Tang Ming hurriedly crouched on the floor, incredulously looking at the eggshells scattered on the ground.
After this discovery, Tang Ming quickly gathered Gang Qi in his hand to touch the eggshell, and when he made contact, his internal energy began to churn.
"This poisonous?"
Tang Ming’s face changed slightly, quickly channeling his cultivation to resist the poison on the eggshell. This was the most unique poison he had ever encountered, fearing for the first time since his debut.
At that moment, he suspected if he ate the eggshell, he might die from poisoning!
After recognizing the eggshell contained a powerful toxin, Tang Ming became excited, quickly picking up all the eggshells and placing them in an ashtray, as it seemed immune to corrosion.
"Oh my! This is definitely good, though I’m now a bit hesitant to eat it."
Tang Ming sat on the sofa, studying the eggshells in the ashtray, although uncertain if it truly was the Heavenly Yin Scorpion Frog Egg. The toxin alone made him feel the money wasn’t wasted.
While Tang Ming was studying the eggshells, he suddenly felt a weight on his shoulder, turning to see the little bat had landed on his shoulder, staring curiously at the contents of the ashtray.
"Why aren’t you running anymore."
Tang Ming rolled his eyes at the bat and reached out his fingers to touch it.
The little bat didn’t fear Tang Ming at all, it eagerly rubbed its head against Tang Ming’s fingers, showing a face of enjoyment.
"Seriously? Earlier you were running just to tease me!"
Seeing the creature not resisting, Tang Ming immediately realized it had been playing with him. By the look of it, it seemed to rely on him, had it mistaken him for its mother?
While Tang Ming was lost in thought, the little bat climbed into his sleeve and settled at his shoulder and neck area.
"This guy thinks I’m its nest."
Looking down through his collar at the little guy on his shoulder, Tang Ming felt speechless. However, during the touch earlier he found no toxins or danger on the little guy, feeling relieved.
Still, Tang Ming wondered, the eggshell that hatched this little creature contained such potent poison, yet the creature itself seemed free of any toxins. Could it be an instance of conflicting forces, the creature hatched in a poisonous environment managed to be free from the poison?
