Chapter 654: Chapter 0654: Operation Boost Grades
"Chen Cang isn’t even worried, so what are you all nervous about?"
Tang Ming grimaced, having already mastered all the basic knowledge in the textbook. Now, Liu Mengting and Li Xiaoli were searching for all sorts of bizarre and difficult problems to prepare a test, aiming to challenge Tang Ming.
"Meng Meng sister, look at this problem, it’s rated five stars in difficulty."
Li Xiaoli, holding the review materials, moved closer to Liu Mengting, "Let’s include this problem as a major question in the test for Brother Tang Ming; it will definitely stump him."
"Indeed, it’s tough, let’s settle on this one."
Liu Mengting glanced at it a few times and then immediately copied the problem onto the test paper.
"You guys keep looking, I’m going to sleep for a bit."
Tang Ming rolled his eyes and lay down on the desk to sleep.
Half an hour later, Liu Mengting and Li Xiaoli finally completed a devilishly difficult test paper—forged from the toughest questions they could find in various study materials; even they would struggle to pass.
"Stop sleeping, stop sleeping, hey."
Li Xiaoli nudged Tang Ming awake, proudly proclaiming, "This is a math test paper, all prepared. If you can pass this test paper, then the math exam will definitely be a piece of cake."
"I’m really scared of you guys."
Tang Ming propped himself up, groggily taking the test paper and a pen in hand.
"Hehe, Meng Meng sister, how many points do you think Brother Tang Ming will score?"
Li Xiaoli giggled as she asked Liu Mengting.
"I don’t know how many points he can score. I’m currently working on the problems with the answers, and they still seem very difficult. If the national college entrance exam is as tough as this test paper, I guess all the candidates in the country would fail."
Liu Mengting, focused on the solutions, seriously muttered without even lifting her head.
"Hehe, the tougher it is, the more interesting it gets. If we really manage to stump Brother Tang Ming, then we’re really something, hey."
Li Xiaoli tilted her head, grinning and looking at Tang Ming, only to see him with one eye open and one eye closed, furiously writing on the test paper.
"Hey, Brother Tang Ming, what are you doing?"
Li Xiaoli called out discontentedly.
"I’m answering the questions."
Tang Ming reflexively responded.
"You’re clearly sleeping! Meng Meng sister and I put in a lot of effort to make this test for you, you need to take it seriously, hey."
Li Xiaoli, visibly annoyed, glared at Tang Ming, protesting, "With you half asleep and writing so quickly, you wouldn’t be just filling it out haphazardly, would you?"
"Wait ’til I’m finished, and you’ll know. What’s the hurry?"
Tang Ming yawned, continuing to write hurriedly.
"With you like this, getting even one question right would be a miracle."
Liu Mengting gave Tang Ming a look and then returned to studying the solution analysis seriously. Although this was meant to help Tang Ming with his cramming, tackling these problems was also a way to improve their own skills, so she took it seriously.
Half an hour later, Tang Ming put down the pen and stretched lazily, "I’m done with the answers, and it wasn’t that hard."
"Really?"
Liu Mengting glanced at her own test paper; she hadn’t finished even a third of it. How had Tang Ming finished already? Could he be bluffing?
"Is it really that fast, huh?"
Li Xiaoli skeptically held up the exam paper in front of her and started comparing it to the answer key.
"You guys mark the papers; I’m going to sleep some more."
Tang Ming said with his eyes closed, then sprawled on the desk to sleep again.
"This pig—every day, all he does is eat and sleep. Doesn’t he have any other ambitions?"
Liu Mengting glared at Tang Ming fiercely, then quickly grabbed the exam paper and started reviewing it.
After checking a few answers, Liu Mengting and Li Xiaoli were both astonished. The twelve multiple-choice questions were all correct, and the fill-in-the-blanks were all standard answers. For the essay questions, although Tang Ming’s answers differed from those on the materials, they were obviously more concise and accurate.
"Oh my gosh, did Brother Tang Ming peek at the answers beforehand?"
Li Xiaoli exclaimed incredulously.
"The exam paper was pieced together by both of us with a lot of materials, and we didn’t even know the exact answers, so how could he have peeked?"
Liu Mengting gave Li Xiaoli a look of disdain, her expression complex as she gazed at Tang Ming, thinking he was just too freakish.
"Then what’s the point in us helping him study, huh?"
Li Xiaoli sighed disappointedly. She had wanted to challenge Tang Ming with tough questions, but the problems she spent so much effort on were nothing to him.
"Both of us have grades that aren’t as good as his, it seems like we can’t really tutor him."
Liu Mengting also looked frustrated. What seemed like tough problems in her eyes were child’s play to Tang Ming; how could they possibly tutor him?
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, that makes sense."
Li Xiaoli nodded repeatedly. "It’s just like in the movies, where only martial arts masters can teach apprentices, and those who aren’t skilled only produce useless disciples."
"Who makes comparisons like that?" Liu Mengting stared at Li Xiaoli speechlessly. But she also knew that she and Li Xiaoli truly didn’t have the capability to tutor Tang Ming—they were just too far behind.
"Got it, we can ask Wei’er to tutor Tang Ming!"
Li Xiaoli had a burst of inspiration and excitedly proposed, "Wei’er’s grades have always been near the top, not far off from Brother Tang Ming’s. She could definitely help Brother Tang Ming."
"This... this is actually a good idea."
Liu Mengting frowned slightly. Although she was reluctant to let Xia Wei’er get too close to Tang Ming, it seemed like the only feasible way to help improve his grades.
"It’s absolutely a great idea! Tomorrow, we’ll invite Wei’er to give Brother Tang Ming some lessons. With the three of us beauties teaming up, I refuse to believe we can’t stump Brother Tang Ming."
Li Xiaoli shouted excitedly, and if it hadn’t been so late, she would have gone to fetch Xia Wei’er immediately.
"Heh, I think you’re not doing this for Tang Ming’s grades at all; you just want to stir things up."
Liu Mengting laughed coldly, looking scornfully at Li Xiaoli.
"Hehe, don’t you think this is quite fun, Meng Meng sister?"
Li Xiaoli didn’t deny it, her personality just loved being where the action was.
"There’s really no way to deal with you."
Liu Mengting understood her friend’s personality well. "Let’s study hard. This test is a close simulation of the college entrance exam; we should also work hard to achieve good grades."
Li Xiaoli pouted boringly but obediently bowed her head to review her books. She needed to study hard too; otherwise, she’d fall too far behind to play with others. Besides, the college entrance exam was a significant event in her life and had to be taken seriously.
Liu Mengting bowed her head to read for a while but couldn’t help smiling when she noticed Tang Ming drooling in his sleep on the desk. She stood up and walked toward the clothing rack.
