Chapter 612: Beaten Up Again
Chapter 612: Chapter 612: Beaten Up Again
"Tang Ming, brother, beat him to death."
As Li Xiaoli retreated, she raised her fists and shouted viciously.
Only Xia Wei’er, tightly held by Tang Ming, was unable to move. Even though she already knew that Tang Ming’s cultivation had recovered, Xia Wei’er still instinctively wrapped her arms around Tang Ming’s neck, using her back to help shield him from attacks.
"A guy who only hides behind a woman is a true waste indeed."
Hu Wei sneered disdainfully and shouted evilly, "Don’t worry, after I take care of you, I’ll make sure to look after these three beauties for you."
"Make your move."
Just as Hu Wei charged to within a meter, Tang Ming called out cheerfully.
"Kid, you’ve got guts, touching those under my protection."
A chilling voice rang in Hu Wei’s ear as Chu Batian, dressed in a suit and sunglasses, appeared before Hu Wei like he’d performed instantaneous movement, and with a flying kick to the chest sent him flying through the air.
"Pfft!"
In midair, Hu Wei spat out a large mouthful of blood. The blood, mixed with rose petals, made the scene particularly splendid and eerie.
"Bang." Hu Wei landed heavily on the ground, clutching his chest, and stared at Chu Batian in horror. He had just checked the surroundings and hadn’t found Tang Ming’s bodyguard. How had this guy suddenly appeared?
"You, using your strength against the weak, what kind of hero does that make you?"
Hu Wei struggled to stand up, growling through clenched teeth.
"Hmph, had I not shown mercy, you wouldn’t be able to stand up ever again."
Chu Batian snorted coldly. Dealing with a Half-step Martial Master was beneath him, "If you want to harm those I protect, even killing you wouldn’t make me feel guilty."
"Hee hee, kiddo, weren’t you acting all tough just now? Saying you’d finish me off? Come on then, try to finish me!"
Tang Ming looked at Hu Wei with a cheeky grin and shouted, shaking his head.
"Bastard... Pfft."
Seeing Tang Ming’s demeanor, Hu Wei spat out another mouthful of blood in anger.
"Oi, I can make you vomit blood without lifting a finger. And you still dare to challenge me? You’re just too weak."
Tang Ming said with a look of disdain.
"You coward who only knows how to rely on others for protection, what a wimp; I despise you."
After picking himself up, Hu Wei pointed at Tang Ming and started cursing. With Tang Ming’s bodyguard now in the picture, he wouldn’t dare to make another move; he could only try to gain the upper hand with his words.
"Kid, scram. If there’s a next time, I won’t be so lenient."
Chu Batian let out a cold shout of warning.
"Hmph, let’s go."
Grinding his teeth, Hu Wei fixed his gaze on Chu Batian before leaving and asked word by word, "I know you’re a venerable from the Poison Sect, may I know your name?"
"You aren’t worthy of knowing my name yet."
Chu Batian said with an air of cold arrogance.
"I know I’m not worthy, but for today’s kick, my elders of the sect will naturally seek justice for me in the future. If you’re frightened, then forget it."
Hu Wei wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and said with a cold smile.
"Using provocation? You think I’d be afraid? I am Chu Batian of the Poison Sect. If anyone seeks revenge, I’m waiting anytime."
Chu Batian answered with a sneer. Now that he followed Tang Ming, his cultivation advanced by leaps and bounds. Those enemies he previously regarded as formidable were no longer a concern, and he was more than willing to have a few of them come over to give him a bit of practice.
"Got it."
Hu Wei nodded, then left the scene, supported by his three girlfriends.
"Why did you tell him your name? Don’t you think it’s more in line with your style to impress him unseen?"
Tang Ming grumbled, looking at Chu Batian with annoyance.
"That guy’s tricks seem familiar; His sect might bear a grudge against our Poison Sect. I’m hoping they send some experts to seek revenge—my hands are itching for a fight."
Chu Batian grinned and said cheerfully.
"Itching for a fight, huh? Then meet me behind the residential area’s hill tonight; I’ll help relieve that itch."
Tang Ming shot Chu Batian an irritated glance.
"Hiss, I’m not fit for making public appearances. See you later." Chu Batian dropped that line and disappeared. He and Xin Badao had been thoroughly trashed by Tang Ming; he would rather die than fight Tang Ming again—it was pure masochism.
With Xin Badao gone, the onlooking students were astounded. Although unclear about the specifics, everyone knew that not only did Hu Wei fail his confession, but he also got kicked. This newly emerged school bully seemed to have no sway in front of Tang Ming.
Soon, Liu Fei’s car arrived, picking up Tang Ming and the two young ladies for dinner. Xia Wei’er declined the invitation, as she had to go home to help run the ice-cream shop.
After being taught a lesson, Hu Wei stormed back to the Hu Family home, still spitting blood as he entered.
"Son, what happened to you now?"
Seeing Hu Wei return home spewing blood, Hu Zheng was startled and approached anxiously to ask.
"Dad, when will the sect send someone capable to deal with the Poison Sect’s expert?"
Hu Wei slumped onto the sofa, grinding his teeth and roared, "I must tear Tang Ming into ten thousand pieces."
"You went looking for trouble with Tang Ming?"
Hu Zheng frowned slightly, explaining, "The sect has yet to send any word; they just want us to observe and adapt, and focus our efforts on recruiting newcomers and business. They advised against any conflict with the Poison Sect in the city for now."
"What does that mean? They’re unwilling to come, aren’t they?"
Hu Wei asked with an ugly expression on his face.
"Seems like it. You know, sects and Martial Arts Families are different. They value interests within the Martial Arts world more. As for the city’s development, leaving it to people like us is sufficient."
Hu Zheng nodded, sighing, "Actually, I also feel there’s no need to start a war with the Poison Sect over trivial matters. There are many interests in the city, and harmonious wealth is the key."
"But they’ve already started shitting on our necks."
Hu Wei said sullenly, aware that his father was always thinking of the sect’s interests and rarely allowed personal feelings to get in the way. He himself, however, did not possess such generosity.
"What exactly happened?"
While checking Hu Wei’s injuries, Hu Zheng asked.
Hu Wei recounted the events that had transpired.
"Nonsense, haven’t I warned you not to provoke Tang Ming? You could have handled Chen Cang, but Tang Ming is under the Poison Sect’s protection. You’re lucky they didn’t kill you for attacking him."
Hu Zheng reprimanded without any pleasantness.
"I didn’t mean to provoke Tang Ming; who knew Xia Wei’er was involved with him."
Hu Wei grumbled unhappily, "And that guy named Chu Batian, a Five-star Martial Master, following Tang Ming around—the protection is a bit excessive, isn’t it?"
"Who did you say?"
Hu Zheng’s expression changed slightly, knowing who Chu Batian was, finding it hard to believe that he would protect Tang Ming, considered a useless person.
