My Co-renting Lady Boss
Chapter 590 Ru Meng

Chapter 590: Chapter 590 Ru Meng

Tang Ming hadn’t expected Li Xiaoli to carry a Desert Eagle with her. Was this girl trying to defy the heavens?

"Scram," Li Xiaoli slowly raised her hand and pointed the gun at the bald man.

"Bad moods make my hand slippery, and if someone gets shot accidentally, don’t blame me."

"Big sis, stay calm, don’t point that thing at me, I’m wrong, I’m scramming now,"

The bald man dodged the muzzle while backing away in terror, and in the blink of an eye, he ran off without a trace.

"Xiaoli, why did you bring it out?" Liu Mengting and Tang Ming asked in puzzlement as they watched Li Xiaoli put away the gun.

"Hehe, didn’t Big Brother Tang say he didn’t want others to know he had regained his cultivation? Of course, I had to carry something for self-defense. I used this very thing to blow Yao Buji’s head off," she chuckled.

Li Xiaoli grinned and proudly said, "You see, this time I scared off those bad guys without Big Brother Tang having to lift a finger. How awesome is that?"

"Hehe, you really are thoughtful." Tang Ming forced a smile; this girl was too violent.

This was just a minor incident, and soon after, the food Tang Ming had ordered was served.

Looking at the steaming, fragrant barbecue, Tang Ming rubbed his hands in preparation to eat.

"May I sit here?"

Just as Tang Ming was eating heartily, a gentle voice suddenly rang out.

Looking up, he saw a woman in a long, white dress and a black coat, with stunning long hair, standing beside the table with a charming smile.

"Ask them," Tang Ming said, encountering a woman wanting to share the table.

"If Sister is alone, then please join us," Liu Mengting responded, finding it hard to refuse since the other person was a woman.

"With so many empty spots, you wouldn’t happen to have taken a liking to Brother Tang, would you?"

Li Xiaoli was wary of the newcomer.

"Thank you, you two sisters are so pretty. You can call me Ru Meng,"

The woman ran her fingers through her hair and introduced herself warmly.

"Liu Mengting (Li Xiaoli)!"

The two women politely responded, and they were relieved that Ru Meng hadn’t asked for Tang’s name, which eased their minds.

"Ru Meng sister, aren’t you afraid of meeting bad people by traveling alone at night?"

Li Xiaoli couldn’t help but ask curiously.

"The public security in Songlan City isn’t bad; there shouldn’t be that many bad people,"

Ru Meng smiled enchantingly, and then added softly, "Besides, bad people would probably be afraid of me too."

"Hehe." Hearing this, Tang Ming chuckled oddly, figuring she was a woman who didn’t know how to take care of herself, unafraid of encountering bad people.

"Is he your boyfriend?"

Ru Meng glanced at Tang Ming uncertainly.

"No," Liu Mengting quickly shook her head.

"Yes," Li Xiaoli nodded solemnly, then the two women exchanged glances, creating a somewhat awkward atmosphere.

"I understand,"

Ru Meng nodded knowingly, showing a thought-provoking smile.

Afterward, Ru Meng started chatting happily with the two women, discussing everything from fashion clothes to celebrity gossip, feeling as if they had known each other for years!

A few minutes later, seeing that Liu Mengting and Li Xiaoli were engrossed in conversation and hadn’t eaten, Ru Meng immediately handed over some skewers she had ordered:

"You’re so caught up in chatting; have some food too."

"Thank you."

Only then did the two women realize that Tang Ming had been so focused on eating that he had almost ignored them, and the food was nearly all gone.

"Handsome, you should eat some too."

Ru Meng pushed the remaining kebabs toward Tang Ming, having realized he was a big eater.

"Then I won’t be shy."

Tang Ming took the food and began to eat, as he was still not full.

After biting into a kebab, Tang Ming’s eyebrows twitched. He watched the two women as they were about to eat, didn’t stop them, and then quickly finished all the kebabs.

After eating and drinking their fill, Tang Ming prepared to leave with the two women. Liu Mengting and Li Xiaoli eagerly wanted to see Ru Meng off, but she declined.

"I never expected that my first time out at a food stall at night would lead me to meet someone like Sister Ru Meng."

Once in the car, Liu Mengting said excitedly, "It feels like I really clicked with Sister Ru Meng."

"Yeah, there was no barrier in communication at all, as if we had known each other for many years."

Li Xiaoli also commented, moved.

"Heh, wait for me in the car for a bit. I left something behind, and please, do not get out of the car."

Tang Ming advised them in a somewhat panicked tone. Without waiting for their response, he got out of the car and locked it.

After Tang Ming left the car, his expression instantly turned serious, and he quickly walked back toward the food stall.

When he arrived, he just saw Ru Meng’s figure turning into an alley, and he immediately followed her.

"I knew you would come."

Just as he entered the alley, Tang Ming saw Ru Meng standing where the light and shadow intersected, smiling at him.

"Who exactly are you?"

Tang Ming eyed Ru Meng warily. After eating the kebabs she had given him, he had felt a massive energy within them, yet they weren’t harmful, which puzzled him greatly.

"Who I am isn’t something you need to know right now. You just need to know that I am not your enemy,"

Ru Meng said lightly, with a smile, as she brushed her hair back with her hand.

Watching Ru Meng’s movements, Tang Ming felt an odd sense of familiarity, but couldn’t quite place where he had seen it before.

"Thank you for taking care of Meng Ting." Before Tang Ming could speak, Ru Meng asked leisurely:

"I heard Liu Gaoze had an accident. How is he doing?"

"You are Meng Ting’s mother?"

Tang Ming’s mind reeled, recognizing the familiar feeling he had—it reminded him strongly of Liu Mengting. Upon hearing her words, he instantly guessed her identity.

"Regarding that, I won’t deny it, but I can’t say too much."

Ru Meng nodded, then asked again, "I just want to know how Liu Gaoze is doing?"

"Uncle Liu is fine now and will be back at his job in a couple of days," Tang Ming hurriedly replied, then anxiously asked:

"Since you’re Meng Ting’s mother, why haven’t you reconciled with her?"

Tang Ming knew that Liu Mengting had never seen her mother and, although she never brought it up, he believed that she, like him, longed to meet her family.

"The time is not right yet," Ru Meng said, shaking her head sadly:

"Now that I know Liu Gao is okay, I’m relieved. Tang Ming, you must become stronger."

"How do you know my name?"

Tang Ming’s eyes widened in disbelief as he stared at Ru Meng. During the entire interaction, the two women had never mentioned his name; how could she know him—what was going on?

"Your marriage to Meng Ting was arranged by me. I hope you will take good care of her,"

Ru Meng said, slowly retreating into the shadows.
