Chapter 53: Chapter 0053: Looking for Trouble Right After Being Discharged
"It’s over, Chen Cang is dead set on beating me up."
Zhou Dafu yelled, "What goes around comes around, today you have the upper hand and bully me because you’ve got the numbers, Chen Cang, I’ll admit defeat, but just wait until I’m capable, I’m going to pay you back tenfold!"
"Really? I’m waiting for you."
Chen Cang mocked, and the three lackeys behind him walked over, ready to start on Zhou Dafu.
At this moment, Zhou Dafu was very scared; he looked toward the distant snack street, but there was no sign of Tang Ming.
"If I’d known, I wouldn’t have eaten that popsicle. If I had followed Brother Ming, Chen Cang wouldn’t have had the chance to beat me up."
Zhou Dafu, seeing the three lackeys closing in, quickly covered his head with his hands. Getting beaten was normal, but it was embarrassing to be beaten to a pulp.
Seeing Zhou Dafu bracing himself for the beating, Chen Cang laughed and said, "See that? This coward doesn’t even know how to fight back. Make sure you give him a warm welcome for me."
"Got it, Brother Chen."
The lackeys roared, ready to make their move.
But at that moment, someone came sprinting from afar, with the sounds of their approach rumbling mightily.
Chen Cang and the others, hearing the noise, turned their heads to see Tang Ming running toward them, still chewing on something.
"Damn it, how did this bastard show up? Wasn’t he off eating something?"
Chen Cang jumped in fright and exclaimed in utter surprise.
Standing nearby, Ask said, "Brother Chen, is this the Tang Ming you mentioned?"
"Yes, that’s him."
Chen Cang spoke through gritted teeth, hating Tang Ming bitterly, but he was well aware that picking a fight with Tang Ming was utterly futile; it didn’t matter how many men he had here, Tang Ming alone could take them all down.
Should he stand up and resist, or turn tail and run?
Chen Cang wasn’t just conflicted; he also felt incredibly frustrated. He used to be the bully, and now here he was, being bullied without any chance to fight back.
"Brother Chen, that guy doesn’t look all that impressive to me."
With a Dagger in his hands, Ask swished it back and forth, looking at Tang Ming with a face full of disdain.
"Feeling itchy again, Chen Cang? Forgot the pain in your ass as soon as it healed?"
After Tang Ming stopped running, he looked at Chen Cang and asked impatiently.
"Tang Ming, don’t push your luck; I’ve got a bone to pick with Zhou Dafu today, and it’s none of your business," Chen Cang said, stepping back.
"Fatty is my brother. You dare to bully him and you’re saying it’s none of my business?"
Tang Ming looked at Zhou Dafu and said, "Aren’t you coming over?"
Now not the least bit afraid, Zhou Dafu shoved aside the lackey in front of him, then walked over to Tang Ming with a cold huff and said, "Brother Ming, I was squaring off with them, but they had too many people and I couldn’t beat them, so all I could do was cover my head and wait for you to save me!"
"Alright, alright, even though you’re no good in a fight, at least you didn’t chicken out and turn against us. You’re making progress," Tang Ming patted Fatty’s shoulder and laughed.
"Damn it, Tang Ming, right?"
Ask yelled, "I’m Ask, Brother Chen’s friend. This isn’t over; we’ll see you at nine tonight at Guanghua Square. You got the guts to show up?"
"Why wouldn’t I?"
Tang Ming laughed dismissively, "But what’s in it for me? You think I’ll just show up because you say so? Do you think you’re my son or something?"
"Son of a bitch!"
A’Fei had intended to pull out his knife, but seeing Chen Cang’s legs trembling, he thought it would be tough to fight alone and decided it was better to round up the guys and attack together later at night, after all, two fists are no match for four hands! Therefore, he said, "If you don’t have the guts, then don’t bother showing up!"
After speaking, A’Fei turned to leave, signaling Chen Cang with his eyes to make a quick escape — a wise man does not fight when the odds are against him!
"Wait, who said you could leave? No need to wait for nightfall!"
Tang Ming said indifferently, "Let’s talk about this now."
Upon hearing this, Chen Cang knew Tang Ming was about to make his move. He stopped worrying about appearances and began to run, his feet moving so fast it was as if he was riding Wind Fire Wheels, terrified of being caught by Tang Ming and beaten up.
Still in the hospital, lay the previous example set by the Ma Family brothers, and Chen Cang did not want to end up there as well.
"Trying to run?"
Tang Ming sneered, "I was enjoying my spicy hot pot when you guys came to cause trouble. You’ve ruined my meal, and if I want to eat again, it’ll cost me another ten yuan. Stand right there!"
A’Fei, running at the back, was overtaken by Tang Ming who kicked him in the back, sending him flying into the few in front. Just when Chen Cang thought he could escape...
...someone landed on him from behind, knocking him to the ground, and then one after another piled on top of his petite frame, four people in total.
"Ouch, my back and butt!"
The pain brought tears to Chen Cang’s eyes. His injuries weren’t fully recovered, and being pressed to the ground by four people was as uncomfortable as one could imagine.
"Hehe, running away?"
Looking down at the group, Tang Ming asked condescendingly.
"Get up now."
Chen Cang yelled, and the others clambering upon him finally got up.
A’Fei pulled out a knife from his pocket, glaring at Tang Ming as though he had a vendetta against him.
"Damn it, I’ll kill you."
A’Fei, with his fiery temper, had been kicked by Tang Ming and was not about to take it lying down. Clutching the knife, he charged forward, intending to stab his opponent.
Tang Ming reacted quickly, kicking A’Fei’s knee and knocking him down face-first. A’Fei landed with his nose bleeding and several teeth missing from his mouth, a classic face-plant.
"Haha, way to go Brother Ming! Beat that bastard to a pulp for threatening me with a knife!"
Zhou Dafu shouted excitedly from the side, nearly ready to kick in a few himself.
"How’s flying through the air for you?"
Tang Ming, looking down at A’Fei on the ground, asked with a smile, "Your name suits you well, you really can fly!"
Meanwhile, knowing that they couldn’t escape, Chen Cang and the others were determined to fight back. They scoured the surroundings for weapons: some picked up stones, others grabbed iron shovels, and one even yanked down a nearby clothesline to use as a weapon.
Chen Cang was the most ferocious, charging into Xia Wei’er’s cold drink shop to grab a knife used for cutting ice blocks, intent on hacking Tang Ming.
He was resolute, determined that today it would be kill or be killed.
When he grabbed the kitchen knife, Xia Wei’er’s mother, terrified, chased after him, pleading as she grabbed him:
"Young man, let’s talk this out, please don’t use a knife."
Chen Cang, who was afraid of Tang Ming but not these so-called aunties, shoved her aside, cursing, "None of your damn business, and if you keep blabbering, I’ll trash your shop after."
At those words, Xia Wei’er’s mother didn’t dare to speak again, fearing that Chen Cang would smash up her store.
"Damn it."
Still furious, Chen Cang kicked the lightbox sign at the entrance of the cold drink shop, and with a loud crash, the glass sign shattered to pieces.
His three underlings surrounded Tang Ming but hesitated to strike. Seeing Chen Cang coming out wielding a kitchen knife, their spirits were immediately lifted.
