Chapter 33: Chapter 0033 Officer Lin Xue

"No need, keep squatting."

Tang Ming said irritably, "Think about it, if I were really a bad guy, would I not run away instead of messing around with you here? Besides, if they were my accomplices, would I bother to beat them up? Am I sick?"

"Well, I wouldn’t know about that; among criminals, there are plenty of perverts. Maybe you’re just like them?"

Lin Xue continued to struggle, but Tang Ming’s hands were very strong, and she couldn’t break free at all.

At this moment, Liu Mengting woke up inside the sedan, her head aching. She slowly pushed open the car door, stepped out from the back seat, and quickly said upon seeing Tang Ming and the policewoman’s actions, "Tang Ming, what are you doing? Hitting a police officer is against the law."

Tang Ming shouted, "Who told you the person in the car is dead?"

"Isn’t it obvious? He’s motionless, his chest is covered in blood, and there’s a wound on his neck."

said Lin Xue.

"My fellow officer, please look carefully before you speak. That guy was knocked out by me. There’s a bit of blood on his neck, but it’s stopped now, and he’s not in any danger. Moreover, he’s the leader of this group. If you arrest him, you can find out the whole story."

Tang Ming yelled in frustration, truly worried for the intelligence of this policewoman.

"But you beat them so severely, that too counts as excessive defense."

Lin Xue still refused to give in, clearly irritated by Tang Ming and eager to pin a charge on him and take him down.

Tang Ming is officially employed as a bodyguard, and my father should have already registered him there!"

"Liu Mengting? Okay, if you vouch for him, there shouldn’t be a problem. But I’ve taken down your school too, and in case there’s any issue, I will contact you!"

Lin Xue paused, as if something occurred to her, then nodded her head, turned around to pick up handcuffs from her pocket, and cuffed everyone, kicking them into the patrol car. The last was the burly man from the van, who was directly awakened and tried to resist and flee upon seeing Lin Xue in her uniform.

Having felt aggrieved and taken advantage of by Tang Ming, Lin Xue wasn’t about to let this guy escape. She ran over and kicked him down, then viciously bellowed, "Run then, keep running—I’ll break your legs."

The burly man shouted.

Lin Xue kicked him a few more times, then handcuffed him and stuffed him into the vehicle. This patrol car’s back seat had been modified into a small cage, making it impossible for anyone inside to escape, handy for the patrol team to apprehend people during emergencies.

Though it was meant for three, they now crammed five people inside, which tells you how crowded it was.

"Damn, whose foot is stomping on my face?"

"Boss, it’s not me, don’t bite."

"Brother Qi, scoot over a bit, your smell is killing me."

"Damn it, you son of a bitch, you didn’t get hurt at all. What are you afraid of a little smell for?"

The van was filled with noise as five burly men, handcuffed, were crammed together, making it extremely uncomfortable.

Lin Xue glared at Tang Ming, feeling slighted by him and said fiercely, "Hmph, even though you are just a stand-in bodyguard, I don’t think you’re a good guy. You are quite skilled, and I will investigate you. If I find any dirt on you, you just wait."

After the patrol car drove away, Liu Mengting said to Tang Ming, "Go wake up Brother Liu Fei, we better head back."

Liu Fei was leaning on the roadside. Tang Ming went over, helped him up, and pressed his thumb against his temple, making Liu Fei emit a sound as his eyes slowly opened.

Tang Ming was familiar with Poison, and he could tell if it was toxic just by the smell.

Liu Fei quickly asked.

"I’m fine too, let’s rest for a bit and then head back."

Liu Mengting said, then got into the car.

Tang Ming and Liu Fei stood for a while, and after fully regaining their energy, they got into the car too.

After starting the car, Liu Fei asked while driving, "Tang Ming, those guys didn’t do anything to you and Mengting, did they?"

"No, they are all useless, what can they do to us? It’s just that their sedatives were quite strong, knocked you and Mengting out just now."

Tang Ming replied, concealing the part that those men were directed by someone to trouble him.

"Oh, good to hear that it’s nothing serious."

Liu Fei said with a look of relief, "Did you report it to the police? We shouldn’t let those guys get away."

"No need, a cop happened to pass by earlier, and those guys were all taken back to the station."

Tang Ming replied.

"That’s for the best, such criminals should be severely punished by the law."
