Chapter 214: Chapter 214: All Explosive

Ma Zhisong immediately took the lead, "Okay, let’s have Qin Kong deal the cards. Although he doesn’t play cards usually, it’s simple. Just tell him, and he’ll know how to deal. Let’s get started."

Sun Zhuangjia felt that something was amiss and was about to speak, but Tang Ming beat him to it, "Enough, don’t waste time, let that kid deal the cards."

"What are you standing there for, shuffle and deal the cards?"

Tang Ming shouted at Qin Kong.

Qin Kong’s face flushed with displeasure, but when he thought that he was the one dealing the cards, he figured he could decide how to screw Tang Ming over, so he endured it.

This guy had been arrogant from childhood, and now for the first time he was being treated like a servant, but for the sake of revenge later, he had to keep his cool.

As he shuffled the deck and added a revealed landlord’s card, Qin Kong repressed his anger and swiftly dealt out the cards.

The first game’s landlord was Sun Zhuangjia, who smiled at Tang Ming, "You are the next player. Do you want to be the landlord? If so, I’ll let you."

"No need."

Tang Ming shook his head, his tone very decisive.

Sun Zhuangjia smiled, picked up his cards, and being the landlord, Ma Zhisong calling a double didn’t mean much. He didn’t say a word. Instead, Sun Zhuangjia swiftly grabbed the three bottom cards together, which was called a "blind grab" and also doubled the stakes, clearly very confident.

The first game was finished quickly, with Tang Ming losing two hundred thousand mainly because Ma Zhisong, the mole, was going easy.

In the following ten games, Tang Ming dared not take the landlord’s position, but no matter who was the landlord, he still lost money. The four million he had previously won soon dwindled.

At this point, Sun Zhuangjia and the others started smiling smugly, while Qin Kong, while dealing, laughed, "If you don’t take the landlord’s position, of course you’ll lose money."

This round was Tang Ming’s landlord card. Without thinking, he grabbed the card. Sun Zhuangjia thought he was provoked by Qin Kong’s words and immediately called, "Double."

"I’ll also double."

Ma Zhisong followed immediately.

Seeing this, Tang Ming also said, "I’ll double as well."

In an instant, the stakes went from one hundred thousand to eight hundred thousand. It was the largest bet they’d seen yet, and everyone was excited because this game could end up running into millions if a few bomb hands came out.

Tang Ming was known to be short on money, something Sun Zhuangjia and the others had already noticed, so they were clear: winning this round would bankrupt Tang Ming, leaving him with a massive debt.

When Sun Zhuangjia turned over his cards, he was instantly overjoyed. Not only did he have a pair of jokers, but also four threes. The rest of his hand was poor, just a single ace, but since he was in cahoots with Ma Zhisong and their opponent’s cards were good, these two bombs were enough to dominate and prevent Tang Ming, the landlord, from making a comeback.

Ma Zhisong, upon reviewing his cards, was also thrilled; two bombs, four fives, and four sevens, plus a two. The rest of his hand was poor too.

Tang Ming smiled and started with a sequence, from 8 to Q—a powerful play that couldn’t be beaten without a bomb.

But starting with this kind of play generally indicated that the player had more sequences in hand. Sun Zhuangjia, thinking he had read Tang Ming’s mind, didn’t hesitate and dropped his four threes.

With this bomb, the stakes were immediately doubled again, and Qin Kong sneered at the situation.

"I pass."

Ma Zhisong had a smile as he looked at Tang Ming.

Tang Ming also lifted four cards from his hand, laid them down gently, and said, "Sorry, four fours."

"Damn, that’s just terrific," cursed Sun Zhuangjia.

Seeing this, Ma Zhisong immediately threw out his four fives, doubling the stakes again.

"Do you want it?"

Sun Zhuangjia asked Tang Ming intentionally, believing that even if Tang Ming had another bomb, throwing it would leave him with no cards in hand, and then he would have no choice but to concede defeat, especially since Sun Zhuangjia held a pair of jokers that could control the flow of the game.

"I want it."

Tang Ming played another bomb, four Ks.

Sun Zhuangjia smiled and said, "I don’t want it."

"Me neither."

Ma Zhisong chimed in.

Tang Ming played a sequence of five cards as well as two bombs, totaling thirteen cards, leaving him with only seven cards in his hand.

Sun Zhuangjia wanted to see what he still had so chose not to react, waiting to adapt to the changes.

Tang Ming drew a card, smiled, and said, "A single two."

"What?"

Sun Zhuangjia was in a tough spot, with a pair of kings in hand, to play or not to play?

Qin Kong caught a glimpse of Sun Zhuangjia’s cards and took the opportunity to shoot a meaningful look at Ma Zhisong.

Ma Zhisong was about to react, but Sun Zhuangjia had already thrown out his pair of kings, a turn of events that was beyond Ma Zhisong’s expectation, but Sun Zhuangjia was looking at him, his eyes filled with mirth.

Ma Zhisong gave a bitter smile. He had just wanted to signal Sun Zhuangjia not to move and to throw a bomb himself, but the other man had already played the high cards.

"Wow, that’s big, I don’t want it," said Tang Ming with a laugh.

"A pair of kings is the biggest, of course you can’t take it," Qin Kong said sarcastically.

Tang Ming looked at Sun Zhuangjia and urged, "Hurry up and play."

Sun Zhuangjia glanced at Ma Zhisong then casually threw a single eight, which Ma Zhisong promptly followed with a two.

"Heh, so the two is with you. This makes things tricky for everyone," Sun Zhuangjia said with a smirk, looking at Tang Ming.

"I don’t want it," Tang said.

"You don’t want it?"

Sun Zhuangjia stared at Ma Zhisong and said, "He doesn’t want it. Aren’t you going to play fast? If you have any sequences or pairs, now’s the time to play them with satisfaction."

Ma Zhisong’s cheek twitched. With a bunch of single cards, a pair, and a bomb, where could he possibly play them?

"A pair of eights," Ma Zhisong grudgingly threw down two cards.

Sun Zhuangjia instantly slapped down a pair of jacks, looking at Tang Ming with a grin, "Do you want it?"

"I’ll take it," Tang Ming said with a smile as he played his cards, "How could I not take these cards?"

"A pair of queens?"

The room fell into complete silence.

Ma Zhisong hesitated, but seeing that Tang Ming didn’t have many cards left, and fearing that Tang Ming might pull out a straight, he gritted his teeth, "Bomb!"

Sun Zhuangjia let out a sigh of relief, "We’re at the end of the game; this is the last bomb!"

Suddenly, Tang Ming laughed sinisterly, causing Sun Zhuangjia and the others to become subconsciously worried, while Qin Kong glanced at Tang Ming, "You have a bomb too?"

"Right," Tang Ming said with a laugh, "You’re really smart. Four tens, hit the alarm, only one card left."

Everyone was stunned at this sudden reveal. Tang Ming really did have an unbeatable hand. Sun Zhuangjia’s eyes were fixed on Ma Zhisong:

"What’s the matter with you, kid? Can’t you read the cards? Why bomb?"

Ma Zhisong, on the verge of tears, replied, "Brother Sun, it’s not like I told you to slap down the kings first, did I?"

"You didn’t tell me? So who did?" Sun Zhuangjia cursed angrily.

Ma Zhisong didn’t dare to confront Sun Zhuangjia, so he had to swallow the grievance.

Tang Ming smiled and said, "Gentlemen, shall we start settling up?"

Upon hearing this, Su Xiaoxi couldn’t contain her laughter, "Right, a bet’s a bet, let’s settle up with cards quickly."
