My Co-renting Lady Boss
Chapter 113: Master An Tian

Chapter 113: Chapter 113: Master An Tian

Ma Gangqiang came in place of his elder brother, who had just been granted medical parole. If his brother appeared hale and hearty at the police station now, everyone would be suspicious. After all, even though the gun permit had been issued, it didn’t mean he could freely use firearms at school.

"What do you want?"

Lin Xue was in charge of reception at the station today and as soon as she saw Ma Gangqiang, the troublemaker, she asked with evident irritation.

"I’m here to report a theft."

Ma Gangqiang had been instructed by his older brother not to be arrogant and act like a victim instead. That way, the police would believe him, and they could get Tang Ming arrested sooner.

"Report a theft? Are you kidding me? Who would dare to mess with you, the second young master of the Ma Family? Wouldn’t your elder brother just grab a gun and go after them?"

Lin Xue said sarcastically.

"Someone stole a car from my house, so I’ve come to report it. What, do you police not handle these matters?"

Seeing Lin Xue’s unfriendly tone, Ma Gangqiang immediately replied coldly.

"We do, tell me, what car is it, and what’s the license plate number?"

Lin Xue opened her notebook and asked absently.

"A black Maserati, the plate number is XXXX."

Ma Gangqiang said without hesitation.

Lin Xue wrote down a few notes, then suddenly looked up, thought for a moment, and said, "I know where that car is, come with me."

"You know?"

Ma Gangqiang was taken aback for a moment, wondering if the car stolen by Tang Ming had already been retrieved by the police.

"Come with me."

Lin Xue remembered the traffic accident on the mountain road, the car was a black Maserati with the correct license plate number, but now it had turned into a pile of scrap metal.

Leading the way, Lin Xue walked through the police station followed by Ma Gangqiang, heading straight to the neighboring traffic police brigade’s yard and into an unused open space. The area was filled with vehicles, from motorcycles to cars, and even several excavators, all of which had been towed by the traffic police.

Lin Xue took Ma Gangqiang to the far end of the field to an area marked with the large characters "Scrap Zone."

"Is that your car over there?"

Lin Xue pointed to a large chunk of black scrap metal on the ground that had already been smashed beyond recognition and asked.

"What? That’s my brother’s sports car?"

Ma Gangqiang’s eyes bulged in surprise. He then circled around the remains a few times. There was no license plate on the car, and because of its mangled state, he couldn’t immediately be sure whether it was their car—or even if it was a car at all.

But Lin Xue was fairly certain that the wrecked sports car was the Ma Family’s. She rummaged inside the crushed vehicle and finally found a bent license plate. She threw it on top and said, "Look, the plate number is the same as you mentioned."

Ma Gangqiang examined it, and indeed, the plate number matched. He instantly exploded with anger and shouted, "How did this car turn into scrap metal, who did this?"

"You ask me, but who should I ask? This car was found at the scene of a traffic accident."

Lin Xue retorted with annoyance.

Enraged, Ma Gangqiang pressed on, "Then have you identified the person responsible for the accident?"

"We have."

Lin Xue crossed her arms and said, "It was Tang Ming from your school."

Ma Gangqiang felt a pang of fury inside, thinking it really was that guy. It was as if they had a vendetta from a past life, now clashing with him at every turn:

"If you’ve found out it’s Tang Ming, why haven’t you arrested him? What are you police even for?"

"Sorry, it’s the same as not having arrested you two brothers—lack of evidence."

Having said that, Lin Xue turned and walked away: "If you’ve seen enough, then hurry up and get your car towed, and by the way, pay the towing fee!"

"Damn it, I don’t want it anymore!"

Ma Gangqiang stomped his feet in anger. After giving the scrap metal sports car one last hard glance, he turned and left.

After leaving the police station, Ma Gangqiang looked around warily before getting directly into a black sedan.

"How did it go? Did the police have any clues?"

Ma Gangjian, who was waiting in the car, asked.

"Big brother, I found the car."

Ma Gangqiang’s expression was ugly.

"Oh, where did you find it, and is it related to Tang Ming?"

Ma Gangjian quickly asked.

"We found it, but it has turned into a pile of scrap metal. The police said the perpetrator was Tang Ming, but unfortunately, they have no evidence to catch him."

Ma Gangqiang said indignantly.

"Damn it, it’s that bastard again."

Ma Gangjian was so angry that he punched out, causing the car seat to tremble uncontrollably.

The Ma Family brothers discussed for a while but couldn’t come up with any good solutions. They could only put their hopes on that martial artist from out of town.

"Back to the martial arts hall, Father is calling for us!"

Ma Gangjian started the car, taking his brother away from the police station.

When they reached the Ma Family Martial Arts Hall, Ma Benyue was sitting in the middle of the main hall having tea. Seeing his sons return, he said, "You’ve come back just in time, that person has arrived."

"Dad, are you talking about that Eight-star Martial Artist?"

Ma Gangjian’s voice trembled slightly, excitedly asking.

"That’s right, he’s now resting in the training room. Gangjian, take Gangqiang with you to go say hello, and remember what I’ve told you."

After giving his instructions, Ma Benyue got up and left.

Ma Gangqiang, seeing Ma Benyue leave, happily said, "Big brother, the martial artist has come. We can let him deal with Tang Ming and get revenge for us."

"Right, but don’t say anything out of place later. I’ll do the talking. This is an Eight-star Martial Artist, his strength far exceeds ours. If we offend him, we’ll be the first to suffer."

Ma Gangjian solemnly instructed.

"I know, Big Brother."

Ma Gangqiang nodded.

The two brothers walked into the training room with some trepidation. The martial arts hall was also considered a property of the Ma Family. On one hand, it facilitated martial arts training for their men, and on the other hand, it served as a cover-up. If someone was killed, they could simply claim it was during martial arts training, and the blows were too heavy.

Thump, thump...

Ma Gangjian knocked on the large door of the training room. The person sitting cross-legged inside suddenly opened his eyes and said:

"Come in."

Ma Gangqiang pushed open the door, and the two brothers walked into the room. Inside the spacious training room, the light was dim, with only a beam of light shining down from the skylight, directly on the seated person.

"Are you the martial artists of this generation of the Ma Family?"

The seated person asked in a cold and arrogant tone.

"Indeed."

Ma Gangjian quickly replied:

"May I ask how to address you, brother?"

"An Tian."

The seated person, An Tian, said indifferently:

"Since you’ve already come, you two must be the cream of the crop among the younger generation of the Ma Family. Then I shall meet with you. Both of you come at me together."

"You’ve misunderstood, Brother An."

Ma Gangjian hurriedly said with a smile:

"With our abilities, how could we be opponents for Brother An, especially since I’ve just been discharged from the hospital."

"Oh?"

An Tian stood up and walked over to Ma Gangjian, took a careful look, and nodded:

"Indeed, just recovered from a serious illness."

"Exactly, my big brother has only just recovered, and I’m even weaker than him, far from being an opponent for Brother An."

Ma Gangqiang also hurriedly added with a flattering laugh.
